Six-member idol group BEAST debuted in 2009. They′ve released their seventh mini-album in time for their five-year anniversary.
The title track "12:30" compares two people who have broken up to the two hands of a clock at 12:30, opposite one another.
The touching piano melody and the flowing yet weighty rhythm maximize the longing emotion expressed in the lyrics.

2009년에 데뷔한 6인조 아이돌 그룹 비스트가 데뷔 5주년을 기념하는 특별한 일곱 번째 미니앨범으로 돌아왔다.
타이틀곡 [12시 30분]은 헤어진 연인의 이별 후 그립고 안타까운 마음을 서로 다른 곳을 가리키고 있는 시침과 분침으로 묘사해 가사로 표현했다.
감성을 자극하는 피아노 선율과 묵직하면서도 절제된 세련미가 돋보이는 리듬은 가사가 담고 있는 감정을 더욱 극대화했고, 더욱 섬세하게 표현된 멤버들의 목소리는 서정적인 멜로디와 어우러져 한편의 슬픈 멜로드라마를 연상케 하는 곡이다.

1년이 참 짧기도 또 길기도 했었는데 말야.
12시 30분은 모든 면 다 완벽했지만 못내 아쉽게 남은 하나는 연말에 대상 못탔던 거?
팬이어서 어쩜 더 그랬을런지도 모르겠지만 난 암만 생각해봐도 여름 시즌 굿럭 가을-겨울 시즌 12ㅅ 30분 두 활동 모두 제2의 전성기 소리 나왔을만큼 음원에서도 성적 좋았었고 음방 수상 또한 나중 에이핑크분들이 1위수상 1번인가 2번 더 받으면서 그 해 1위 수상 기록 갱신하기 이전까지 비스트 1위가 그 해에 가장 많았었고 그렇게 크게 사랑받았던 한 해였어서 남몰래 연말대상수상 기대 좀 했었거든 지금 생각해도 좀 아쉬워 이 때 대상 한 번 더 받았더라면 좋았을텐데.
1위 수상이든 대상 수상이든 인기상이든 음원/음반 상이든 여하튼 그 지난 몇번의 컴백이 1년에 한 번 있던 활동이었어서 더 열심히 달리고 계속 쉼없이 몰아쳤단걸 알아서 그런 멤버들에게 수상이라는 큰 기쁨으로 돌려줄 수 있었다면 우린 더 행복했을거고 그런 우릴 보는 멤버들은 또 더 행복해졌을거고. 그런 생각에 아쉬워 진짜 열심히 해줬었는데..
지금에 와 하는 말이지만 누군가가 보기엔 이 1년의 비스트는 막판스퍼트처럼 보였을지도 모르겠다. 걍 그런 생각이 드네
