What makes these artists so incredible is they don’t play together, they don’t practice together, and they only rehearse together once before the party.
Yes, you heard that right. The entirety of this band gets together only once a year and we’re grateful they decide to spend that one day with us.
Oh, and add that this year we threw John Kadlecik, our very special guest, into the mix. Nobody in the band had ever met John (and vice-versa) until two hours before showtime.
This song was crafted on stage in real time, one of those goosebump improv moments. Matt opens with Dear Mr. Fantasy and Cathy jumps in with Hey Jude. Not wanting to be left out, Mike signals Can’t You See. At the end they mash all three songs together and the band jams throughout.
Music is certainly subjective, but to me this is the definition of the jam band music scene.
