The guys running into the back of you are bump drafting, they’re trying to help. It’s to be expected at the bigger tracks it can help you catch packs that are out of reach.
When the cars draft behind you and hit your back bumper thats them pushing you and making you go faster without using more of you engine and gas. Its a good thing when they tap your bumper and push you. if you get a 3 man push that will make you go so fast
You have to follow the guy when your racing in dega and Daytona. Stay behind him at all times your going to bump him but that’s fine. Move through the field as fast as you can if your comfortable take the lead or stay behind the leader till the last lap. Make your move off turn 4.
Also I love your MlB RTTS series...I just Got a 63 HR Season with Tampa Bay Rays..won triple crown back to back homerun derbys... keep up the great videos dude you are amazing at what you do ...I look forward to each video you post no matter the game....You bring the charisma To each game you play looking forward to watching your videos for a long time Edit: I've been watching since MLB The show 16 give or take
Hey Trev! Just a helpful tip. When cars come up behind you and are just touching your bumper, they are pushing you, and it makes both of you go faster than the rest of the competition! Thanks for the great gameplay though!
Trevor : 'Why is he just ramming into us" Also Trevor "Why is nobody working with us??" ps trev there's no need to get 2 cans of fuel when pitting, it tells you your estimated fuel left when finishing. Extra fuel is just added weight and makes you slower
I've been to talladega and Martinsville. Biggest and smallest tracks. Jeff Gordon won both and he was our favorite driver in the early 00s. Great memories. Love you dad.
Trev when they get really close behind you it’s because they are trying to work with you. Meaning pushing you and helping you increase speed to catch up to the front runners. Hope it helps you and I learned it from watching other races.
A loose setup allows the right rear to slip more allowing you to turn in the corner better. Basically oversteer. But tire wear is much higher in a loose setup. It’s good for short runs. Tight setup is understeer. Keeps the tire wear down and better for the long runs
I like the replays Trev and I love watching u play nascar heat 5 u made me want to buy it so I did then my PS4 broke 2 days after I ordered it so I never got to play it but at least I can watch u 😁
The problem with lowering your ride heigh all the way down. You need to adjust the suspension settings so that you are not bottoming out the car. Then you lose the extra downforce and scraping the ground creates friction.

You should consider not always following the line. Search for the rubber groove instead. It's the line with the most rubber in and thus the most grip, and it evolves during the race.
Excited to See one of the Few Restricter Plate races. Have enjoyed all the NASCAR and F1 content as your F1 last year helped get me into F1 and this year you have helped me get back into NASCAR. Keep Up The Great Work Trevor and Stay Safe
Trev, that yellow car was pushing you bc he was a draft partner. Draft partners help you. You'll know they are a draft partner when the icon appears on middle of the left side of your screen.
A good thing to do is maybe look up a setup. You want the ride height as low as possible. The lower the car the more downforce you can create while decreasing drag. There is a Venturi effect going on under the car. The closer to the track you can keep the car the more suction the Venturi effect creates without increasing drag
Also on the Superspeedway like Daytona and Talladega you want your tire pressure all the way up on all four tires. The more air in the tire then less contact patch you have. The less contact patch you have the less friction. Airing them all the way up will give you minor boosts in speed. With the banking at Daytona and Talladega you won’t lose grip
Just drove the Nürburgring Nordschleife a couple weeks back, super fun, I fully recommend you do you Daytona race as soon as possible even if it's not quite the Nordschleife!!
Something that will really help you that a couple people already said is stay in the draft even if you bump the person it’s fine, because if you stop drafting for a little bit everyone will start to pass you.
trev to get the lap times the game is suggesting its really gonna take you learning how to tune the car for the tracks, the recommended Tight vs Loose settings are not optimal, but then again depends on how serious u are about improving for whether or not you'd like to learn tuning
Custom setups are the best. Especially because you can lower the car and gain downforce without increasing drag. Then it gets complicated as you then have to adjust suspension so the car doesn’t bottom out. Also increasing tire pressure all the way up on these Super speedways will increase speed a bit. Track bar and wedge adjustments can affect turning ability as well. To setup a nascar is a lot different than a road car as your values are typically different at all four corners. It also doesn’t help he’s with a 4 star team so he won’t have the same power as the Penske cars or Hendricks car.
(Not trying to sound smart I’m just very into nascar and the physics behind it) Idk if someone said this already but the “super speed” that you called it when you started jumping positions was you drafting partner following you to keep up speed which in the end will propel you to a faster speed therefore with the right moves making you pass people who aren’t in you draft faster and it will make them seem as if they are slower.
Kyle Busch said he plans to retire the 'Xfinity' series after winning his 100th race. He won his 98th last race, but then was disqualified during post-race inspection. BTW, he went on to win the Truck series race a few hours later. Absolutely great Nascar driver!
Trev wants to do fancy edits but frequently leaves in multiple takes ahhahaha. Probably my favorite thing he does. I have to do a double take when he does that like wait this has happened before
Setting up loose isnt bad but you give away traction when you do that. Your tires will wear faster but you counter that with smooth entry and exits. Dont be afraid to get close to the wall and use that real estate on the straightaway and try to remember that the apex of the corner isnt always the center of the radius. The darkest spots on the track usually indicates the fastest lane of travel.
To give yourself a good pit window and chance to win, I suggest doing 25% race length with 3X tire/fuel wear. Also with the cautions not happening, you need to have all(strict yellow). It will give you good opportunities to pit without losing spots.
If you go to career mode settings there is a setting we’re you can turn on qualifying sessions which gives 3 attempts to get a better performance or Placing.
You were so close to finishing the race without pitting! Damn if you just had a few more Laps of fuel haha. None the less ,Not bad for starting P39! Always love the racing series !!❤️🙏🏻
Just went to lernerville yesterday for the silver cup in sprint cars it was awesome got to see Kyle Larson brad sweet and kasey khane race Larson was so close to taking it at the end me and my buddies were going crazy
that would be totally awesome to cut the replay clips into the live vid segments so we can see from birds eye view what happens as it happens. amazing idea hope we see it
Trevor the reason "he runs into you" if you pay attention above the mini map it will tell you if he is a draft partner he isn't doing it to wreck you he is doing it to help you
Pit early and make sure yellow flags is turned on ... it’s basically a free pit stop... you should do 25 percent of the laps if your going to pit... it more strategic in racing
trev you got me addicted to racing now
Aydan K you’ve not watched it yet tho
We need more racing games this year.
Yat0 YT right, i’m saying that his series has me addicted
Mr. Snake Honestly!

Yah it said that Logano was his draft partner
That's right
Yep, its called bump drafting

Yes trev let the cars bump and push you!!! As long they don't wipe you out you good
Also it’s better if you push behind someone the whole lap you keep it flat at and that’s how you hit the goal in practice
yep. Its called bump drafting
“If you get out of the draft your done son” as he falls out of the draft

By staying behind cars you can save fuel as well as using the draft you can use 75% throttle and keep up

Its blasphemy to race in Talladega without acknowledging the "Shake n Bake Baby!!"
When you only need half of the race of fuel just get right sides and 1 can if fuel and you’ll cut ur pit time down by about 7 seconds

Best nascar series. 100%
Trev: It’s like we have super speed
Me: Yes because you were in the draft so long that you were going 202 miles per hour

Also Trevor "Why is nobody working with us??"

Oooh he just ran up into us I’m like not surprised that’s how Joey legano races in real life🤣
I love how he went from dead last, to first place
I haven’t watched gaming videos in a good few years. Almost like I’ve outgrown them. But I’m loving these racing videos! Really chills me out.

Trev if you are wondering why there are no flags is because go to settings and put on flags

“No body working with”us as Logano is pushing him
🏁“If you ain’t first your last”🏁
Teen they hit you in the back at the big tracks cause of bump drafting. Makes you go faster. Completely normal

These racing series are so good dude I love it now
This is one of my favorite tracks of all NASCAR.
If you don’t pit with a group at a super speedway, then when you come out you don’t have a draft partner. Thus you got passed a lot.
Trev was the one who got me into racing again
“Got one up top now all clear up top” 🤣
Joey was trying to push you to draft. Also, yeah, taking tires cost you some extra time.

watching you enjoy Nascar is a joy dude! as I await a wheel replacement...
Keep up the NASCAR vids Trev!! Wish these were a bit longer but it’s all good !!
I would like to see the replays, and you got me addicted to F1 thanks to your F1 series. I thank you for that.
My day is always complete when watching a racing vid by trev
Word of Advice when possible stay in a draft through a corner ...Then pass on straightaways
Dude “The draft” is pushing and getting pushed. Cmon man!
The reason they were all so slow is because they were conserving fuel. You can be off the gas and in a draft to conserve more fuel.
Setting up loose isnt bad but you give away traction when you do that. Your tires will wear faster but you counter that with smooth entry and exits. Dont be afraid to get close to the wall and use that real estate on the straightaway and try to remember that the apex of the corner isnt always the center of the radius. I live for these videos. These are awesome!
Also turn off gas consumption if you can that was crap, you had that win 😭
I want to see the replay for sure. Love the series. ❤️
Thanks Trev for this heat! Excited for the F1 episode now lmao
At Talladega you want to be tight to the yellow line off turn 2 hugging the line till the tri oval, I don't know why but it seems to be the best line
To give yourself a good pit window and chance to win, I suggest doing 25% race length with 3X tire/fuel wear. Also with the cautions not happening, you need to have all(strict yellow). It will give you good opportunities to pit without losing spots.

I did the Richard petty experience a few years ago at talladega and it was so much fun! First time driving a stick shift lol

When pitting, don't take more fuel then needed. Default is to use 2 cans, but you may not need all that fuel. Less fuel = less pit time, less weight.
