I actually know exactly what you mean by wanting to "sit" under a certain part of a song....to stretch it out, as it were. I remember, back in the early 2000's, there was an ad spot for some sort of documentary series on the Discovery channel that had a song...and was just this quick moment...a chord progression...that I fell in love with. It wasn't just the chords, but the arrangement and mix. Took me a loooong time to find it. Was a song called "Sandman" by The Billy Nayer Show. If you listen to that song from around 1 minute in...that transition from like 1:10 to 1:40....it's so beautiful. It takes this major-to-minor turn...but the minors don't sound dark and hopeless...just more somber and profound...and the ambient effects spread the mix out...then it comes back home quite beautifully to a major key. Always wanted to take that piece of music and turn it into something larger.

@@davidleebrown3956 Awesome, brother! I’m sure it’s one of those things that’s highly personal…as to why it struck me so at that point in my life, but yeah…at the very least…was a purdy turn of notes, eh? ;)

I've played your previous album more times than i can count during my job as a dev. Looking forward to trying this one out too.

Just seemed like the right season for perseverance. Luke 21:19 really hit me a while back.
