How terrifying was the Cloverfield monster? The way they showed very small glimpses of as the film went on was just outstanding. Made the final reveals even crazier. Need more movies that do smart things like that with effects.

Given that they are creatures playing with galaxies as play marbles, the size would be both impossible to give significance to and equally incomprehensible
That would be like, boring because he just gotta play the scene all over again, the camera pans out billions of light years away just to see the aliens, in which case the monsters become lil marbles, which again just like the original MIB scene
And those galaxies contain untold amounts of other dimensions in random lockers.

This needs to be updated since Kong used plot fuel to grow more than 3x his size in the new movie.
I mean, the filmmakers knew they were gonna have him fight godzilla when makign skull island, so they set film in 70s for reason, and clearly said in that film he wasn't even adolescent, his canonical age in that film is 14. So its not like they retconned his size
@@serpentine8124 Yeah, still seems like a bit of a stretch. He's 104 ft in Kong Island. Godzilla is 400 ft. And he's just shy of Godzilla in the new one. That means he grew almost 4x his size. That'd be like you being 4.5 ft tall at 14 years old and growing to 18 ft at 65 years old.
@@bmjake I get that, just wanted to point out it seems like they had planned on him being bigger when he fights godzillia, given choice of timelines and drawing attention to his age. As for unrealistic, if he'd been full grown at time sure, but personally I don't really mind it, it's definitively not enough to break my suspension of disbelief when watching these films, although I totally get it bothering people. I guess my rationale is that his species is clearly different in how they grow to other species of apes, so if they grow at expectational rate it would still make sense to me.

@Duende2211 if you do the math, King Kong Skull Island was in early 70s, Monarch forbidden him to go through puberty and stop growing. Godzilla: King of the Monsters was released in 2019 and the the year was 2019 in the film, so Godzilla vs King Kong should technically be the year 2021 in the film which means King Kong would have grown to a height slightly shorter than Godzilla

because he'd only be one meter long, tops. remember, spongebob is a full sized kitchen sponge. you can hold him in one hand.
IF spongebob was for the sake of simplicity 6 inches tall (a large kitchen sponge) and lived in a pineapple which let's say for simplicity is only 1 foot tall. And lives with many other residents in much larger housing in a city (keeping it simple) called Bikini Bottom. How large would the Alaskan Bull Worm be if less than half (50%) of it crushed the entire city beneath it? We know that Bikini Bottom has a count of approximately 538 residents while many other episodes tend to portray it as much larger. Let's say 5 residents live in 1 home okay? That's 108 homes. If the city was set up like a square the equation for it would look close to 11 homes X 11 homes for it to have only homes. let's bump that up for simplicity sake to 12X12 to make up for everything else inside of a city. Each of these homes should be at least 2 feet in length. so 24 feet X 24 feet. That averages out to 576 FT or roughly 176 meters. So the Alaskan Bull Worm is larger than this tiny city that is only 176 meters in length and the Bull Worm completely crushed it underneath.
I think your estimate on it being a meter long is a bit off mate :P
Might even compare to the biggest monsters in any lore out there tbh considering it's at least over 200 meters lengthwise.

It's interesting that you chose Smaug from the books rather than from the movie. In that case, you should have thrown in Ancalagon the Black so we get a comparison of how Smaug from _The Hobbit_ trilogy compares to the others.

Behemoth ('Incredibly Tall Creature') from The Mist seems like several times underestimated in size here. The whole idea (at least in the book) was that after seeing this creature, entire hope of humans is gone, it's size implicates that there is no way to fight with it, it is obvious that is just took over the planet.

Quite the opposite, you forget Victor was trying to resurrect his brother, so his name was also Frankenstein.
Even if that was his goal, Victor knows he didn't succeed, and in fact he is straight up terrified of what he makes. It's like if I tried to resurrect my cat and made a platypus that acted nothing like my cat. Also I'm not even sure if his goal was to resurrect his brother in the first place. Like... In 'into the woods' that's totally what he's trying to do, but in Shelly's novel I don't seem to recall his motives (outside of wanting to feel like a god).

Dylan Clark Smaug was originally that small even in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit. That was his size when they began editing the CGI Smaug. However, after Peter Jackson saw the clip of Smaug, he asked for Smaug's size to be changed to the size of an Airliner.

One of few other descriptions available by Tolkien is that the Secret Tunnel, with 5 feet tall door and passage wide enough for three people to walk together, was too small for the dragon even when he was young, and he could only put the tip of his nostril into the passage when he was grown.
So the sizes are inaccurate

I have to say well done to include so many monsters. Pretty smooth camera movement and I like how you rotate the text as you pass by. Some minor points: Hellboy is 6'11" or 2.1 m. Sulley looks sad. Attack on Titan's Colossal Titan looks like an action figure. Do you intend to post an updated version? It would seem like you can keep posting new updates as requests/updates come in and you refine the designs. Seeing as you included heroic monsters, you could also include Falcor, Chewbacca, Hulk, and Beetlejuice. It would be crazy if you expanded beyond movies into televised shows.

@Duende2211 Kong isn't a primate nor an ape, he's a Titan (or a kaiju) that look like one, and kong was 14 years old in skull island, now he's an adult Titan, ofc he's tall, especially since he is the most powerfull of his specie

@Duende2211 ofc none of them will die, everyone knew that since they announced the movie almost 10 years ago, no studio would make a movie where half the fanbase is deceived on purpose, but they wanted to have a battle between two giant mythical well-known characters, and many people are hyped for it, possible or not, we don't care, a giant dinosaur shooting lasers out of his mouth isn't possible either, but I still love the movie, because it feels like what 7 years old me imaginated playing with toys, and it looks cool as hell

Kong Skull Island was set in the 70s and it was stated in the film that he was still growing, its been 40+ years since then, he has had plenty of time to grow
