- This is a little old video of the Gorilla Momotaro family. Genki was worried about Gentaro's health, so he stuck close to Gentaro and cuddled with him. Genki checked Gentaro's health by smelling his smell. (Momotaro and his family in the past)
Other videos include cute Kintaro drumming on his chest and cute Gentaro sitting in a box. (Momotaro family in the present)

Yes ,Gentaro looks like he Is not feeling very good , I am sure you guy’s are on it ,is it physical or emotional, please let us know ❤️❤️❤️
Great video 🎉🎉🎉
Gentaro seems guarded and withdrawn. Add the thumb sucking and it seems to me that he is under a high level of stress and anxiety. I’m betting there was some kind of incident or bullying with Momo since he doesn’t fear Genki or Kintaro. Hard to say. And since video is being so highly edited, we won’t ever know what occurs between all of them. It’s a shame that we can no longer observe these magnificent creatures actions and behavior as it actually occurs. It’s by observation that we learn and understand them better-never completely of course, but perhaps more than we know today. 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
Is this typical behavior of the young adult male? I figure Gentaro is ready to meet Annie or some other young female. He’s been sucking that finger and seems withdrawn.
Finger-sucking is a self-soothing behaviour and relieves stress. Perhaps Gentaro is more stressed than we realize.
What do you exactly mean? This happens in all families around I mean sexual behaviours, it's about females and males, more as they are in captivity and have no further options, gorillas have no the same values as humans
@@brovaco What do I mean? I meant what I typed. I understand gorillas have “no same values as humans”….thanks for that.
Interesting moment at 2:51. Momotaro sees Gentaro and makes a sudden movement towards him that I read as slightly threatening, and Gentaro turned around and ran back out, with Kintaro chasing him but immediately coming back.
Methinks we're missing something in the family dynamics.
Do gorillas use "yawns," as do Macaques as male displays to intimidate?
