God, I spent years as a satellite room operator at TV stations - and seeing that big, red ROLL TAPES NOW!!! super flash on the feed always made my heart jump a bit.
Yes Goodson was able to recoup Some of the 45,000 they paid score productions / Edd kalehoff for that version of the main theme and 11 other theme sets for the night time price is right in USA some of them were used in the day time show until a year or two ago. Goodson/Fremantle has the publishing rights so they get paid when it was aired . The music package is quite good. I listen to several of the cuts often still.
"Super Price Is Right" would've been a much better name for his half-hour Paramount TV syndicated version given the bigger prize budget. Were they implying the standard one-hour CBS version with Bob Barker is "OLD"? SMH
Am I correct in saying these never aired again on any other network after their original run? Thanks for uploading this studio master. I cannot find clear episodes like this-- Im assuming they were all from VHS

So many unnecessary changes. There was a half hour formula in place since the 70’s. I can forgive the set changes, on air staff, and the 90’s in general.
@@redeye_ The murder trial's earliest sessions often caused this show to be preempted in some markets by news coverage of the proceedings (the trial took place in California and the three-hour time difference between New York and California resulted in the proceedings airing later in the day to maximize ratings.
Good lord this was bad. I'm so glad it flopped. I'm thinking the show's staffers were thinking Bob was going to retire and they wanted a failsafe if he did. It's functionally more like what they wanted to do when Drew was put in as the next host. Drastic, unneeded changes. That 'new' set that covered up the original 70s TPIR set is atrocious along with the video monitors.

It's the mid 90's and every set designer is like. MUST HAVE VIDEO BOARD.
A Mitsubishi Eclipse, a Camaro, both won, what a day!
The positive thing about this was the theme tune was used in the UK for Bruce's Price Is Right from 1995-2001.
And the Price is Right in Spain also used this theme

September 13, 1994 is the air date for most affiliates.
September 13th was the AIR DATE of this show. I know because I won the showcase on 'The New Price is Right' on Sunday, September 11, 1994.

It supposed to be different by design than Bob's version, hence, the reason it's called the NEW Price is Right.

Which was #1 in daytime for a long stretch.
Wasn’t so bad. Plus Doug Davidson reminds me of George Gray.
cool
It appears there are some clips of the daytime TPIR in the opening.
@John Williamson why not show clips from the current season instead of some from 11 years earlier 🤔

why make a new price is right if
the original was still on TV?🤔

Imagine if let's make a deal premiere in 1994 Doug Davidson would have been the host of that show..instead of the new price is right.
I believe Ray combs should have hosted the new price is right
@GarryGriffy I think had Mark Goodson was still alive, he would've gave him the job to make up for being fired from Family Feud.

You can thank OJ Simpson for not allowing this show to gain any traction in regards to ratings.
