It does my heart good to know there are still people who know how to sing and play an instrument. TMJB is a very good group of talented musicians. Cant find real music on the radio or tv anymore. Good job - keep it up.
I would listen to country music if it still sounded anything like this (yes I am aware this is bluegrass). It just sounds like pop, or even hip hop, with some twangy guitar or fiddle added these days. Give me the old stuff.

You know, I don't think that "jug player" is actually doing anything other than pretending to play, so they can excuse the fact that they call themselves a "jug band". First of all, a jug is actually played differently than you think: you don't just blow across the top of it, you actually make a raspberry noise with your lips over the top, it's very distinctive. But even if the play was just blowing over the top the way people wrongly assume a jug is played, that doesn't explain the fact that when he takes the jug away from his mouth at 2:55 it doesn't make any difference in the music at all. I can hear one single bass note going "boom-poom-boom-poom" the whole time, which is either the bass or a jug...but it keeps right on going even when the jug player isn't doing anything. So either it's pre-recorded and played in the background the whole time time (or worse, the whole thing is a big lip-synching performance!), or the sound is just the bass he's playing and the "jug player" isn't doing anything but looking cool. Seriously, look up some real jug players, it's worth knowing about. I mean, I don't blame these guys; it's show business (you think they actually dress like this and drive pickups in real life? I doubt it). Just observing.
Is it actually called "Lonesome, Onry and Mean", or is that just because the person who wrote the title didn't know that "ornery" isn't spelled the way it's pronounced here?
It's a Steve Young song, and yes, he wrote Onry. He wrore the song about the idea of playing straight and sober. He reckoned Waylon never quite got that.
I love this version! Goodlettsville alumni here!
Life was never better than these shows that summer and all the ones before and after. It has been too long. We need HANK back

The fiddler is classical
Dan Kelly is the name, wonderful man and close friend. He sadly passed away last year. Best fiddler you will ever hear
@@yosihamproductions0g28 Was very sorry to hear about his passing. He was a gifted fiddler.
