This is such a contrast to wrestling. Wrestling is all about position, physical strength, and pace. Bjj is all about technique, patience, and strategy.
Watching this fight made me remember a quote by Bruce Lee; "Be like water". One must adapt to win in any martial art. Both Glover and Terra deserve congratulations for their performance.
Man, I love this form of competition. I hope it's never gonna replace regular jiu jitsu competition, but I'm really happy it exists as an alternative and I love watching it.
If Rener had been a commentator at Metamoris 4, during the Sonnen-Galvao match, he would've been like "Ooh, this is interesting. Sonnen just gave up his back to taunt Galvao. This is top level jitsu right here!"

Anyway, i am far to agree with the "business" mindset of rener gracie and his brother( about blue belts owning gyms, and promoting people through videos online), but i do believe he is the best live commentator that this sport has ever had.

this was the equivalent of Anderson getting knocked out by Weidman while clowning...Jeff's the man, and that was some sub defense (holy shit) but at that level, if you give up all that positioning, it's just a matter of time before a beast like Caio nails the sub. (Really want to learn all that amazing Jeff Glover sub defense tho...crazy shit)

Great match, good to see them having fun in a competition.. but not gonna lie, it was great to see Caio get that submission after Glover's "I'm the better man" in the intro and then listening to Rener verbally stroke Glover's...ego.. for 15 mins.
Can barely understand your English, but you resist the armbar by hanging on to something. Grab your own gi, your other arm, your leg, your opponent. Reach over and get it. You may lose the arm anyway, but at least you get some time to think of a way out.
Os comentaristas encheram tanto a moral do Jeff, falando q ele tá conseguindo minar a confiança do Caio e deixar ele frustrado por não estar conseguindo a finalização q no fim ele acabou perdendo, mas foi uma luta daora.. jeff é muito bom e sempre deixa quem vê entretido.. 10/10

Glover has a nice relaxed style. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but it's always fun to watch.
