If winding is made short pitched coil, both sides of coil are coming under the same pole say north pole then it induce same polarity emf, if apply KVL net emf is becomes zero.
Sir, Why there is a small reduction in fundamental voltage though We have eliminated every harmonics by distributing,short pitching and fraction slotting.

To eliminate 3rd harmonic we have to short pitch by 60'.but why we are not doing that only doing to eleminate 5th and 7th harmonic.?
