  • We hosted a webinar on 6th February 2024 titled "The Bright Future of Perovskite LEDs in #Lasers", which you can now watch here on RUclips. This webinar explored the forefront of research into perovskite LED technology with a focus on their use in lasers and also the modeling of #PeroLEDs using simulation.
Karim Elkhouly of imec, a joint first author along with co-authors Goldberg, I., Zhang, X, et al, presented their groundbreaking paper, Electrically Assisted Amplified Spontaneous Emission in Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes, published in Nature Photonics in 2024.
If you are unfamiliar with this work, the research team have developed a transparent PeLED architecture that successfully combines low optical losses with excellent current-injection properties, making significant strides in the field of thin-film laser diodes using metal halide perovskites.
Additionally, PhD student Simon Zeder from Fluxim/École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) highlighted the extended simulation work conducted by Fluxim, which goes beyond the findings presented in the paper.
The webinar, hosted by Dr. Daniele Braga of Fluxim, provided a comprehensive blend of scientific exploration and practical simulation applications.
The content in this webinar offers an invaluable opportunity for researchers, students, and industry professionals to gain insights into the latest developments in #perovskite LED technology and to hear from leading experts in the field.
We encourage everyone interested in expanding their knowledge of perovskite LEDs and lasers to watch this webinar.
If you have any questions about the research discussed here write them below and we will answer them.
