We’ve talked about driving the Corridor for many years but there’s always been weather, fires and more weather that deterred us. Thanks! For the video.
This year’s adventure, for us, trying to retrace the Lewis and Clark routes and so far we’ve traveled along the route between Paducah and the Pacific. We even lucked onto “launch day” reenactment near Wood River, Illinois, 220 years after the departure up the Missouri River.

Yes I could see the timing of travelling the corridor could be a challenge - you have to wait so long for the snow to melt, and then it is fire season!
In retracing the Lewis and Clark route, you may be interested in the Lolo Motorway. It follows their route (roughly) across the Lolo Pass to the Clearwater River. We did that one last year as well, and it's an enjoyable few days. Here is the video we did: ruclips.net/video/218KFQhXNn8/видео.html

@@OccidentalistOutdoors yes, I watched the Lolo Motorway and we have completed sections from Missoula to the Pacific, and Missoula to Paducah - hiking, biking and driving.

Very nice backcountry road. Yes, with all those widowmakers a saw is a must. 100 nights…that’s great. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

My son and I will be riding through there with some friends in a few weeks. Thanks for a preview of what to expect. Looks like we better bring our fishing gear!

I hope you enjoy the trip! I just heard Elk City will have fuel again starting in July, which is good for a top off before you head into the backcountry.

Thanks for the Magruder corridor view. We’re going this summer and I was a bit worried about how much burned area there was. Obviously you didn’t camp in Utah because you were on your way somewhere specific because there are a billion places to camp and be in Utah. In North Dakota I hope you got to spend some time in Teddy Roosevelt national park. So many different kinds of environments and geology in a relatively small area. Not too many people except right near the visitors center.

Yes, there is a lot of burned area as you likely observed. Lots of wildflowers and more expansive views in the burns, so not all bad in my opinion. There are even some islands of trees and nice camps in a few spots on the burned ridges.
Yes, it wasn't for lack of camping opportunities that we didn't camp in Utah in 2023, that's for sure.
      Thanks!

It’s an ez hike to the lookout. It would be unpleasant in a vehicle and you’d be in real trouble if you ran into someone coming the other way.

Yes, I'd call it more of a trail than a road, it's a good excuse to park and stretch your legs.
