Dogmeat is still mans best friend and because he a big puppy he still my favorite lol 😄😄😬😬 Dogmeat is a good boy. The bestest boy :D Good doggo! Honestly that 10% DR can definitely be huge though but he really was a stim pack drainer D: He also got in the way alot and always triggered traps lmfao
You gotta invest in dogmeat for him to be a solid companion, but you definitely need the unofficial fallout 4 patch because Bethesda couldn't bother to fix the bonuses from companion magazines lol. Yeah, what's up with that! I researched this topic heavily, and I immediately said that's a load of bs him being invisible lol
The equipment you can equip on Dogment should actually give resistance... I mean, come on... Heavy dog armour with riot helmet with gasmask googles should give anything at all... If you can put your human followers in powerarmor, I should be able to tank-out my canine companion...
Yeah Bethesda really screwed up not giving dogmest usable armor with resistance. There are mods out there thst do fix this. Another commenter recommended a good one (k9 harness mod).
@@fallout4myth940 I looted literally everyting else out of the place before I lit it up (even the pens!) so I don't feel like Im cheating. And what Lone Wanderer wouldn't want this ONE magazine?
I gotta ask. Why a security baton? I've got about 5000 hours in the game, and I have never once considered using one on a turret. Heck, I usually sell the one I grab in the vault to Trudy, Carla or Connie for a few caps at the start of the game along with whatever detritus I've grabbed along the way.

#1 and #3 on the keypad in workshop mode also does set scale (or it might be from one of the 400 mods I downloaded)
the k-9 harness mod gives dogmeat actual defense and it can have ballistic weave added to it.
Yes there are a ton of mods out there that buff up dogmeat. The unofficial patch is as close as you can get to the base game without major changes :)

We put a doghouse and dog bowl in every settlement.

Nah. He died constantly until I equipped armor man. He doesn’t hardly die anymore and I’m getting harder guys more often
Armor provides 0 protection in the base game. it's just aesthetics. You must have had a mod that gives him proper armor(as it should be!)

I recorded this on an easy difficulty character so I didn't care to grab a good weapon when any weapon will kill things easily anyways :)

Survival is the best way to play, but for the sake of recording and making videos, i need fast travel and console access since I dont play with mods.

Fallout 4s gonna get a gen update sometime this year. Whatever pros and cons he has, it's sometimes nice to just have a good doggie companion!
