Jake Sullivan is the Martin R. Flug Visiting Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. He served in the Obama administration as national security adviser to Vice President Joe Biden and Director of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State, as well as deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He was the Senior Policy Adviser on Secretary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. Previously, he served as deputy policy director on Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential primary campaign, and a member of the debate preparation team for Barack Obama's general election campaign. Sullivan also previously served as a senior policy adviser and chief counsel to Senator Amy Klobuchar from his home state of Minnesota, worked as an associate for Faegre & Benson LLP, and taught at the University of St. Thomas Law School. He clerked for Judge Stephen Breyer of the Supreme Court of the United States and Judge Guido Calabresi of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Sullivan holds undergraduate and law degrees from Yale and a master's degree from Oxford.
Great speaker.
1:01:00 Here here to this notion on diplomacy...
Putin..."there is no Russian forces in Eastern Ukraine "
translation ....."don't even discuss Ukraine , it's not negotiable "
Sullivan enters the Biden administration.
For Afghanistan, check 53:30 approx.
Is Sullivan a descendant of any character from the Adams family ? Thank you for confirming or ''politicaly motivated correctly answering an obvious opposing to your answer question '' !
35:40 Why can the US coexist with China, but not with Russia?
Because Russia doesn't use slave labour and isn't a fundamentally subversive state

You are so un educated. Aren't you an embarrassment to your schools?
That's why, going back to your comment
We're not hoping for a country of 1.4 billion people to implode - Jake Sullivan
Political leaders like this are why we're in the situation we're in today. Utter mismanagement.
Ironically proving the very point Sullivan was making.
Sullivan was right
He's a real sickhead and admit it openly, right ?
How do you get such a straith line between the side and the top of your hair ? I use missiles in the morning and ''girlies'' later in the day !
34:06 Listen attentively...
Thanks for the timestamp, was looking for this

No use to il liter ates
Are you a ''fan'' of Leo Strauss...Adams family character ?
Dartmouth and Sullivan are jokes.
He seems passive
this comment section is the problem
Why? Opinions not to your liking?
@@youkt2997 yes
In 2023, without a doubt, Sullivan is in charge of US China policy.
When you have a competition, there will be winners and losers, as opposed to cooperation. Has it dawned on the US elite that US might lose?
What does winning look like for the US? What does losing look like for the US?
US and China want different things. Winning and losing mean different things for the two countries.
I know the train has left the station and there is no national debate. In the mean while, there is no movement on NK, no movement on Iran. The floor has fallen out with Russia
After the complete disaster that was the Biden Afghanistan withdrawal, I would be embarrassed to have this interview up on youtube if I was associated with Dartmouth. Sullivan ought to be polishing his resume after submitting his resignation last week, instead he's still National Security Advisor for reasons that can't be explained.
I would give a leg to have an actually competent president, but implying there was any way to pull out of Afghanistan without it being a disaster is incredibly stupid. There was no good way to pull out of that mess, and if it were up to Trump it'd be even more of a disaster. The man can't even contain a virus.
@@thyduck7542 Why do people who disagree with someone have to resort to terms like "incredibly stupid." If you're confident in your argument, you shouldn't feel the need to utter phrases like that.
BTW the U.S. could have definitely left Afghanistan without it being a disaster. What the Biden administration did was incredibly reckless and shortsighted. Maybe Trump would have been more of a disaster, or better, who knows?
shame its an empty hall.
33:17 on China, the ultra Dove
yep.... this guy sounds useless... China is eating our lunch right now, and this guy is like 'no big deal'
@@arditbajraktari5631
It's your elites like this guy make you this way. You are just a non participant.
52:12 Sullivan Jan. 2019: "...global problem-solving around big issues like... global health ... including - in scoping the world - some big threats... threats from transnational forces, like pandemics" Could you imagine America today if these guys had actually won office in 2016?
Yeah it'd be shit
@@niceone550 Less people would have lost family members to Covid.
It was a plandemic.
@@GiGiLuvsKatz On the contrary, a total lack of planning seemed to be a distinguishing feature of the whole thing.
What is the conversation with his lawhore? hahahaha. Timber! Get the rope boys.
Who would believe a word this traitor to his country says he should be locked up
Watching Jake Sullivan and Antony Blinken like twerpy school boys hand each other notes in Anchorage as they came up against serious, smart men told me everything I need to know about those two. Pointing out America's "secret sauce" was a bridge just too far for me. I can't watch Sullivan, and Blinken is also manifestly shaky.
Spot on! They should be replaced. The question is the replacer should have been replaced in the first place too... no end to it ....
He be in jail by 2024
That was 2 yrs ago...look at the clown today, he's top spokeman in the world situation...throwing gas on the fire...he needs to meet a women and evolve with is life .
