I just completed this build myself! The dimensions worked well but I cut the side support walls near the driver and passenger foot so I could stuff shoes or something small into foot space. I just used 1/2” plywood which is strong and lighter.
I used M6x1 bolts through the bottom seat panel and 2” M6 bolts to the back panel too. One thing that is missing on this plan is he little extra aluminum you will need to save for the latches to keep it in place.
First impressions: tons of space and feels really secure. No rattling or wind noise if you keep the insulation panel behind the seat. Took me 2 days and I used a circular saw and jigsaw for most of the build

Thank you for this! I searched these comments as well your associated posts in Reddit and Tacoma World, but didn't see anywhere that someone with a 2nd Gen had tried this yet. Do you know if anyone has? I'm going to template the hell out of mine and use your plans as a springboard to awesomeness.
I’m considering doing a back seat delete to my Corolla for my GSD
Correct me if im wrong, i think a few measurements are missing. One being the length from door side to the two smaller hatches (on the bottom) and the second being floor side to the hatches (on the side).
Any chance you figured out these measurements? We are trying to puzzle this out also.
@@ashleydeevee just had to get in there and measure myself. It doesnt need to be too precise, plenty of room to work with.
i am wondering if you removed the storage bin that holds the jack? it would impact the overall height of the surface so jus want to double check before i get started. thanks for all of this work you've shared, i really appreciate it !
the plastic tray under the seats was removed. The wood deck attaches directly to sheet metal. In fact i drilled thru the flanges for the jack compartment to bolt the wood deck down. Everything i did was 100% reversible if i need to sell the truck.
One question is how you attach the bottom piece to the seat hinges? The holes aren't threaded so you can't just send a bolt through?

Its Shapr3D....great program. Its great with the apple Pencil on an iPad. They now have a version that runs on a mac.
Literally have an iPad Pro and mainly what I use for design… just made my day.

Are the seats permanently deleted? Could you take this out and put the seats back in if needed?
I have them stored in contractor bags in my barn. Will take about 30 minutes to put them back the way they were.
