I made it through the video in a oney 😹 Such a comprehensive list of Jean patterns. Thanks for sharing ladies, its a great resource to come back to time and again 😻
Thanks girls! I've made three pair Dawn jeans and four pair Mountain View. I think my favorite is the Mountain View. Having seen all these choices I may be trying a new pattern!
Thank-you! This is such a great resource and really like how you've split the styles into leg types. I've recently bought the Legato jeans pattern by Love Notions (and also the course on how to make them) so found this jeans series at just the right time. Looking forward to making my first pair of jeans now
I’m super glad you mentioned the I AM Sunshine jeans - I bought the pattern a couple of weeks back and have my choice of denim all ready, just need to order! I watched the previous videos so feel I’m ready to go, and the sew along pictures make it look like like it’s something I can do, even though I’ve only been sewing garments for a year! Can’t wait for any more of your videos with regards Jean making - it’s all explained so well. Well done xx
What a big variety of Jeans Patterns which one do I pick. Need to watch the video again. A great way to decide what pattern to pick. I look forward to seeing which pattern you picked Stitch Sisters thankyou so much for sharing see you soon my beauties great to see you both 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Realy fun to watch. Love jeans...realy want some more ...and have seen some new to me ones that go on my wish list...thanks so mutch for the jeans making series🥰🤩
What an awesome episode!! My favourite jeans aren’t all jeans but using denim and lots of topstitching and jean construction: Deer & Doe Safran jeans (high rise, skinny with a front slant pockets, for VERY stretchy denim), Closet Core Ginger (high rise, skinny), Closet Core Morgan (the BEST rigid denim jean for me, it’s the slim boyfriend fit), McCalls 8007 (high rise flares, but with a really interesting construction with the front seam and round butt seam - they look totally 70s), and Deer & Doe Narcisse (wide leg trousers that I use denim for). I think I’ve made over 40 pairs of jeans now…I can get a pair finished in about 5 hours now. But this video gives me so many other suggestions! 😘
Such a great round up of jeans patterns! Thanks ladies. I have just bought (before I saw this!) the Metro pull on pants by Sinclair but not sure if they qualify! Great work ladies. I am so inspired now!!!
Hi ladies, Thanks for a great vid. Gertie at Charm patterns have the Marilyn jeans. Got the pattern but not made it up yet. They have an interesting opening where the zip is in the side pocket, not quite vintage sailor style opening but close. Thanks again for a great list/resource all in one place. Have a fab weekend. 😁👍 xx
🇨🇦😃 I smush the mountain view pull on jeans waistband onto all my stretch pull on jeans… I’m a skinny jeans girl so the jeans aren’t my favourite but that waistband is GOLD!!!
Hi!! So excited to see the Jean tutorial…I’ve made lots of pants, but a goal of mine is to make a pair of hard core JEANS!! Out of curiosity, I wanna try my hand at adding rivets and stuff…will you be talking about hardware as well? And how to use them? That would be an amazing video;) Thanks for doing this! Brilliant!
Great categorizing of the Jean patterns and presentation. So no 70’’s hip hugger bell bottomed jeans? A bit too old to wear them now, but they were fun when I was a teenager.
Don't get us wrong, we would love those too but the modern patterns don't make them (we are keeping an eye out for any vintage jeans patterns though 🤩)
Angela Wolfe has a jeans pattern also. I think she may have a class on RUclips also for it. I have the pattern, but as yet have not made it. I love the Ginger Jeans and keep making them over and over. So well fitted for me that I hate trying another pattern!
Thank you so much for this brilliant video (and all the others in the denim series)!! Jeans have been super daunting to me but I'm feeling more equipped to give them a go soon! Another pattern to add to the (very comprehensive) list - Make by TFS May Jean :)
Just had a look at the Philippa and Persephone and they are more of a trouser or jegging than a Jean (no front pockets etc) We will keep an eye out for the Helene though
I have been on asthma steroids sadly and out on weight so no longer the perfect figure, appalled to measure waist size because of increased waist but hips ok. I want fine camel or ivory cords. So pressure so think I sew. Initially I think the knit waist band is good option.
Brilliant vlog - a great resource for anyone venturing into jeans making. Thank you. Happy sewing 🧵😊🧵xx

Thank you two! Had to chase down a copy of the Papercut Otsu pants, I could see them in a fun floral or color blocked. Thanks for this series.

This is a great series thanks for all your hard work.

You two are amazing!! Thank you for this detailed video ☺️
I’ve been wanting to make jeans for a long time

Thanks for letting us know about the Safran, we missed that one completely!
THIS IS AMAZING!!! THANK YOU LADIES!!
Can't wait to see your plans and fabrics.

Thank you Elaine, I have added it to the blog

THE video I was waiting for!!

I'm liking the look of your outfit Nikki - do you have a pattern for it? Thank you ☺️

I've made the Dawn jeans too
Thank you for including patterns for men. I nearly skipped this video thinking you wouldn’t. I should’ve known better! 😉
Of course we did !
We couldn’t find that many, so if you know of any please let us know and we will add it to the blog 💖
Another to add is the Muna and Broad Noice Jeans for the plus sized sewists. They are tapered or wide leg and made for non-stretch denim.
Thank you Selena, I have added this one to the blog

Jalie also does a brillant pull on Jean called. Eleonore it also comes with a video on how to sew them up.
Thanks Tracy, we didn't include these are they are more of a begging as they don't have a front opening.
Angela Wolfe has a jeans pattern also. I think she may have a class on RUclips also for it. I have the pattern, but as yet have not made it. I love the Ginger Jeans and keep making them over and over. So well fitted for me that I hate trying another pattern!
Thank you Nancy, we have added both the Angela Wolf patterns to the blog

Another pattern to add to the (very comprehensive) list - Make by TFS May Jean :)
I will add the May Jean to the blog! Thank you
The ginger jeans now come in plus sizes, and they have a flare add-on you can buy.
Don't forget Anna Allen's patterns like the persephone pants or Philippa pants! Or her new (upcoming) Helene selvedge jeans!
Thanks, I will add them to the blog!
Just had a look at the Philippa and Persephone and they are more of a trouser or jegging than a Jean (no front pockets etc)
We will keep an eye out for the Helene though
Do you have these also for men?
