How to remove admin control & security restriction from UP Government Tablet | Samsung Tab A9 2024

- In this video i will show you how to remove the admin controls from the tablet given by the government and root the device.

I will recommand this to 99% of the people who will be following this guide to please read the "Note" given below and follow that as most of you are not ever gonna use root permissions in your tablets.
⚠️⚠️Note: if you only want to remove knox security and use your laptop as normal then you have to follow the video as it is and after following all the steps as shown in video you will have to again flash the firmware one last time with the help of odin software (this time DO NOT flash the "Boot.tar" file as it contains root permissions and software named "Magisk" which can interfere with your apps, i tried one software named "Marrow" for video lectures as a query in the comments and found that it was not working with the magisk app, so i thought i should update that information here also) ⚠️⚠️

Steps to be followed:
1. Power off the tablet.
2. Enter recovery mode.
3. Select "Reboot to bootloader".
4. Use Odin to flash stock ROM (BL, AP, CP, CSC).
5. Wait for tablet to reboot.
6. Begin setup process and connect to Wi-Fi.
7. Continue setup until reaching the screen shown in the attached picture.

8. At this point, try to force stop the setup and access settings from the quick settings dropdown. (This is a tricky step, I managed to do this by turning off the Wi-Fi router.) In case you aren't able to stop the setup from completing, you'll have to start over.
9. In settings, enable Developer Options by repeatedly tapping the build number.
10. Within Developer Options, enable OEM unlock and USB DEBUGGING both. If OEM unlock is not present in the developer settings, go back to the above mentioned screen and allow it to continue for a bit and then stop it again (preferably at 50%).
11. Once OEM unlock is enabled, power off the tablet.
12. Disconnect any cables.
13. Open Odin on your PC and connect the cable to the PC.
14. Hold volume up and down buttons simultaneously while connecting the cable to the tablet.
15. From the 3 options shown, hold volume up to unlock the bootloader.
16. Allow the tablet to restart, accepting any prompts.
17. Let the tablet reach the welcome screen, then power off.
18. Again, hold volume up and down while connecting the USB cable. This time, press volume up once to continue.
19. In Odin, select the patched "boot.tar" file (attached) in the AP tab and start the process.
20. When Odin shows "PASS", the tablet will reboot. It is now rooted.
21. If the tablet goes to recovery and reports corrupted system data, select factory reset.
22. The tablet should now boot normally. Set it up and disable Wi-Fi once you reach the home screen.
23. Transfer Magisk and Termux APK files to the tablet.
24. Install Magisk first, then Termux.
25. Open Termux and type

After completing the Odin process, my tablet restarts, but it doesn't perform a factory reset or initiate the setup process. It's as if nothing happened-just a regular restart.

yes.. but remember, once you flashed the boot.tar file and follow the steps in the video for disabling knox then the knox will be permanently removed from the device and flashing stock rom again won't restore knox (or that admin setup)

@@myself_lovekumar see you can flash any custom rom if it is made for this particular tab which is "Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 SM X115 (or any other.. but the model should be veryyy clearly mentioned for that tab)" .. if you can find the rom online then you can definitely flash the rom .. also custom recovery is a must in that case

@@AyushVerma-e3p no bro.. your device won't be getting any OTA updates at all.. but like we are flashing stock rom here.. we can download the latest rom at that time and flash via odin... once rooted then the knox will never get installed again

With all due respect, I have a couple of concerns and questions regarding rooting and unlocking the bootloader on Samsung Tab:
1. Is it safe to use Gmail, social media accounts, and store personal data like contacts, photos, and videos after doing this?
2. Is this setup permanent, or will a factory reset restore the original admin control?
3. Same process work with the A04FE by UP Govt. With its bootloader?

1. yepp this setup is safe as long as you do not want to use apps that are for rooted devices and you don't know what they are used for.. in normal usecase there will be no problem.
2.this setup is permanent and won't restore knox even on factory reset and flashing of stock firmware again.
3. yes you can follow the same procedure for "A04FE" if you can find the boot.tar for that device, but if not just flash a custom recovery like TWRP and root it... there will be videos available on yt for the same.. but to unlock "oem" you will have to follow the same procedure as shown in this video and after that you can carry on the custom recovery part.

@@shancalli4758 i rooted my device because in the past time also i have used rooted device for a long time.. but since owning samsung galaxy A50 from 2019 and till 2024 i used the official software.. but back in 2014 to 2019 i used to use a rooted device.. and for that reason i thought as this device will mainly be used for pdfs..i i should root thi device and enjoy the good old days.. nothing to do with the govt... just for personal satisfaction.. and this video is published under "education" category..so this tutorial is for the knowledge of people that how things work.

Nahi bhai risk kuch nhi hai.. bs oem unlock krke knox uda diya toh yeh dono cheez permanent hai ki oem lock ni hoga and knox vaps nhi aayega... baaki kuch logo ko boot.tar flash krne wale part m issue aara hai for some reason.. but stock rom flash krke sab theek hojaega

@@deependraxx recovery mode m jaakr factory reset kardo and uske baad flash krdo.. fir aapka tab reboot hoga uske baad setup ke time jb wifi se connect hoga aur knox setup hora hoga tb progress 50% se pehle hi koshish krna notification panel swipe down krke wifi disconnect krdo and notification panel se settings m jaakr developer option enable krna aur fir usme jaakr oem unlock krna ( usb debugging ka option mile toh voh bhi krdena on) and fir shut down krke download mode m boot krna vol up + down and wire connect krke uske baad boot.tar flash krdena
Reset normally recovery mode m jaakr kr sakte ho
