Thank you for your support for all of us truckers out here. Roll on!
Thank you for all you do!!! Roll on!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hear, hear!! Truckers are among the lifeblood of this country.
This is such a great song!! My husband drove over the road for about forty years and my son grew up hearing this song! Now my son who is forty is an over the road driver! Please keep him in your prayers!!!! He has a daughter now himself to go home to!
To all truckers..thank you "roll on"
Roll on!!
I've been trucking for 38 years. I've seen some pretty horrific wrecks out there. Thank you for supporting us, truckers. I pray every day for all my road warriors, brothers, and sisters to come home safe. We keep the country rolling. God bless us all.
They won so many awards that they started saying other groups need the recognition! They are awesome!❤❤
Thank You for Your prayers 🙏❤️ My husband has been driving trucks through all different types of weather for 33 years! Its always been my prayers to bring him home safe 🙏❤️
Love this! My wife drug me to an Alabama concert kicking and screaming in the early 90s. We've been about 6 times since then.
Love love Alabama. They were one of my wife’s dad’s favorite bands. He passed away in 2020, and every time we hear one of their songs we can’t help but tear up. He was one of my best friends 😢
My dad’s a trucker and we worry every time he goes out. Haven’t seen him in a year. That’s how’s long he’s been out on the road😢
There were a LOT of great country acts in the Eighties, but Alabama were as big as they come with many crossover hits and a seeming constant presence on our TV sets. They weren’t just big, they were enormous ✌️
Gotta check out Sawyer Brown... You will LOVE lead singer Mark Miller... He is one of those singers who just can't stay still.. Every song by them is great...
Ikr Amber's kinda energy!!!
"Some Girls Do".......

I love Alabama music....40 hour week! Great song!
❤😊❤
I can’t believe I cried hearing this song! Lol! My dad was a truck driver when I was a teenager and he turned 91 today!! But I saw Alabama in concert the 1st time when I was 19!! (A long time ago!) They have always been my favorite!! Thanks y’all!
Happy Birthday to your Dad 🎂 🎉
@@juliewhite7469 Thank you!
What a coincidence - It is my trucker dad's 90th today :)
You have to remember when this was recorded, there were no cell phones. That nightly phone call was so important to family's to hear from their loved ones.
Love Alabama!!! Y’all do “Love in the First Degree” next!
Oh I forgot about that
@@elizabethfranco1284 Yes! That is my favorite one of there many awesome songs!
My favorite Alabama song.
Same boat!@@lisadickson250
Great song 🎶 ❤😊
This is def one of the earlier songs I remember being aware of as a kid. Mom & I played this otw to school quite a bit.
Try ALAMABA - 40 HOUR WEEK FOR A LIVIN!
My grandpa drove a truck for 40+ years. He’s gone now, but this song always brings up great memories for me.
Check out “Teddy Bear”, which is without a doubt the greatest trucking song of all-time.
Check out Alabama’s “40 hour week”. Another good one among many!!
My dad was a truck driver for over 40 years and I grew up listening to Alabama, this was my favorite song. Now that he's passed I can't listen to it without crying.
ME, TOO! HE DID RUB OFF ONTO ME AND I DROVE FOR A FEW YEARS WHILE HE WAS STILL DRIVING. HE RETIRED AND PASSED AWAY IN 2017. I PLAYED THIS AT HIS MEMORIAL SERVICE. MAKES ME TEAR UP. THIS DESCRIBES MY FAMILY HOME GROWING UP. EVEN DOWN TO ME HAVING 2 OTHER SIBLINGS! MISS AND LOVE YOU DAD!
Alabama was one of the hottest groups in our early 80s. Back then when all music was on the charts strong! Thanks you guys for playing this🩵🩵🙏
Written by the great Dave Loggins who wrote and sang "Please Come to Boston." He also wrote other Alabama hits such as "40 Hour Week" and "She & I" along with hits by Wynonna, Kenny Rogers, 3 Dog Night, Restless Heart and Reba.
I've been doing this for 39 years and it still brings tears to my eyes, thanks for your support
I'm glad y'all liked this sing. It was one of my favorites as a child because my dad was a truck driver. There are SO MANY great trucker songs out there to listen to. I think y'all would really enjoy the song "Teddy Bear" by Red Sovine. Please listen to it when you have a chance, it's a great song!
Teddy Bear is one of my favourites and they would love it!
Red Sovine? Also Getty-up Go.
YES Teddy Bear!! Red Sovine was THE man for trucker songs!!
Also Dave Dudley, Six Days On The Road. Red Simpson, I'm a Truck.
Don't forget CW McCall, he had a bunch of great trucker songs. I think they did Convoy, but it wasn't the original. One of my favorites is Old Sloan
Alabama is one of the best country groups in the industry. They had so many good songs & I wasn’t into country music at the time.👍👏👏👏💚💚
My mama loved this song. Every time I hear, "But the man upstairs was listening" I hear my mama's voice, and I can see her pointing up to the sky. Her faith was strong. Thanks for another great reaction!
Most of my family drove at one time or another. Dad, Uncle, 2 brothers, a sister-in-law, and myself. Saw Alabama on this tour. Great group, song, and reaction. Thank you "J" & "A".
As a son of a trucker, all I can say is God bless this nation's truckers! Y'all keep this country running.
Even though I Know How It Ends it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Glad you finally got to it
This has to be one of my 100 top Country songs of all time it’s an absolute Banger 👌👌👌❤️❤️ And it’s an emotional song too about a trucker being on the road missing his family the song is beautiful the way it explains and expresses that 👌
My husband has been a Trucker for 35 years. This song hits home in a big way.
Thank you for sharing this❤
My dad drove a truck for 35 years and had a wreck in Decatur, TX and died in 1997. I too am a truck driver in Oklahoma. This song always brings tears
I'm from a trucking family, my dad drove until he couldn't and this song brings back memories... truckers deserve more respect than they are given ... trucking families are one of the strongest families next to military ones .... I think every trucking family has their own story like the one in this song .... thank you .....
I saw the last show of Alabama's 2023 tour and they sounded great and were fantastic. The opener was Lee Greenwood, who was also great and is 81! I am so glad I got to see them!
My Dad drove truck for over 45 years. He passed away last year. I miss him so very much. On his prayer cards at this funeral we printed “Roll on highway, roll on along, roll on Daddy till ya get back home. Roll family, roll on crew, roll on Mama like I asked you to do…” He received the 1 million mile award with no accidents. He only had 3 years of retirement before suddenly passing away. He sacrificed so much of his time away from my brother and mom and I. But he always made up for it when he would come home. Sending all my love to all of our truckers and their families. It takes special people to drive and special families to keep things moving. ❤
One of my favorites. They played my high school in 1984. Igor to meet them in person. Awesome guys!
Love Alabama...my 2 favorites, which I don't think you've done..are. "My Home's in Alabama" and "Angels among us" you won't be disappointed.
40 Hour Week by Alabama is my favorite song ever. It’s a testament to the working man.
Thanks for this one! Would love to see you react to some of their country pop power ballad hits, “Feels So Right”, “Lady Down On Love, “Take Me Down”, “When We Make Love”, “There’s No Way”, “If I Had You” and “Deep River Woman” duet with Lionel Richie
My grandfather was a truck driver. He had over 4 million miles w/out an accident when he retired. When I was little, this was mine & his song. He passed away in 2016 and we had this played at his funeral. Y’all got this old man up in his feels today. Love you guys!
My husband drove a truck for 44 years before retiring in 2020 and we had a set evening for him to stop at a pay phone to check in. We had 4 little ones and this was our theme song for many years.
Thank you for the shoutout to truckers, they are an unappreciated group but the US would not be able to function without them!
You made me smile 😊 with this one!
Love you guys! Roll on!
Oh yeah! I remember Dino here in the comments. What a sweet and wholesome person!!!
As you've seen already, Alabama owned the 80s with crossover hits (Country/Pop/Rock) Ll over TV and radio.
I remember this song but it didn't get a huge a!iunt of playtime. Too many other Alabama hits already getting air time.
So much love and appreciation for your compassion and consideration for not just our truckers but all people. Another trucking song----"Giddy Up Go" by Red Sovine. He also sings "Teddy Bear" Both will bring tears to your eyes. Another good trucking song. Kathy Mattea's "18 Wheels and a Dozen Roses".
I was a trucker for over a decade. Yes, a tough life. I missed some important times with my son and wife. But, it also was a great life because I got to meet thousands of nice people all over this great country of ours. Would I do it again? Probably not. Family time is too precious. I missed being there and helping and watching my boy grow up.
Oh ,y’all picked a good one with this song 😅 Rip Uncle Dino
I absolutely loved it! Not a country listener so I have never heard it before but I do remember when this group was winning awards. Now I know why! Excellent ❤
I wasn't a country listener, either, until I discovered them. I suggest checking out the rest of their catalogue because they have many more songs that are just as good.
I did 27 years on TY he road before I retired this was my wife's favorite song. I could always hear relief wh r n ever I called home every night untell cell phones
Loved driving.
Love this one!
47 years old, over 20 years behind this windshield, and over a million miles up down and all over this country. It's a rough life, and a tough job. But, I don't think I could've done it any other way. Thank you for your support. If you bought it, a truck brought it. To all my brothers and sisters out there, stay safe, Driver.
I have spent 28 years and have driven over 5million accident free miles as a over the road trucker. Huge thanks to yall for the kind words
In pictures by Alabama. Such a tear-jerker. "How do you fall in love" a beautiful song.
Since I a kid and first started listening to music this song is one I have always remembered since way back then. Even before I even knew who Alabama was. I have always remembered and liked this song. It will forever be part of me and my childhood. Roll on Alabama and roll on RSR! With that being said, next Alabama song you must get around to is Feels So Right. It’s a must for a real love song.
The boy's from Fort Payne have one of the most hit filled catalogs of all time and we will never see another band like ALABAMA but if you want more from them "40 Hour Week" "Born Country" There's No Way" "Love In The First Degree" are a must listen and "See The Embers Feel The Flame" has the late great Jeff Cook on lead vocals!
We saw Alabama in Abilene TX in 1983, when they introduced this song. When he got to the line "the MAN upstairs was LISTENING..." Randy was pointing straight up and looking to the sky, and you could feel everybody collectively catching their breath, and when he sang "...and when the call came in, it was daddy on the other end..." the whole place ERUPTED in cheers and applause! It puts a lump in my throat, to this day....recalling that event!
You haven't lived til you have attended an Alabama concert! Seen them 7 times at the Minnesota State Fair! They always get the crowd singing with this song! What a blast from the past! Love it~
This is my favorite Alabama song! My stepdad was a cross country truck driver in the 80s. Loved this song.
I heard this a lot as a kid. My dad is a truck driver and this was basically the theme. Like with Amber's friend, my dad could be gone for weeks at a time. Occasionally even a month, driving all over the country and even into Canada a few times. He's run into all kinds of bad weather over the years from blizzards to floods. He's seen tornadoes and fires.
Hats off and a big cheer for the truck drivers that keep this country rolling on!
Daughter of a trucker, grew up singing this song! Now married to a truck driver(local thankfully but he hauls hazardous/flammable gases-so worry is still there) other great trucker songs- 18 wheels and a dozen roses and truck driver’s prayer… also always loved George Straight’s carrying your love with me
Lived in trucks coast to coast in Canada for 35 years ! I ve seen it all ! now it s so nice to be retired and enjoy home life....alone ? No ..i got you guys i always listen to ! I dedicated one of my videos to my late younger brother who passed at 38 year of age ! Thanks for playing a trucker song ! 🤠
I had a great uncle and an uncle who were long haul truckers, thank God nothing ever happened to them, but this song has always held a special place in my heart and as much as I would love to sing along, I cannot get through it without tears in my eyes. Absolutely love Alabama!
My dad was a trucker. I remember 4-5 weeks every summer with him. This was my favorite song!!!!
Alabama is my all time favorite! Another one by them you'll love is "You've Got the Touch". It is pure🔥!
This is such a great song! Loved it! For another trucking song, and story song, I'd recommend Red Sovine's Teddy Bear, Phantom 309 and Giddy up Go! Those are some amazing story songs!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Convoy!
@@joshhencik1849 Great song! They've reacted to it, too: ruclips.net/video/ikXCX2ocig4/видео.html :)
Saw Alabama at the Reunion Arena in Dallas way back when Live in concert. Took my girlfriend and 4 fiends for her Birthday. It was the Roll On Concert Tour.
I got some money good songs you you know? My home. Is in alabama brother hardshit how are
Always love the song s easy and a shiena. Uh, well, certain just I'll tell you what? I'd better not have a woman around when I'm part of it them. So cause I just want. You know I get on the yeah, just that song I don't know what likes leave. I'll be able to f*** up. Feel like I'm out later. It goes stormed up some contacts by outside. Shelton?

"Food on the table" is one of my favorites from this album! Along with this song. Can't ever go wrong with some Alabama!
This group is so awesome and RIP Jeff Cook thanks for sharing this and many others ❤😊
This song has so many great memories for me! Every summer my dad would take us camping and we would listen to Alabama the whole way… we still randomly say Roll On!!
My dad drove a truck his whole life. He passed away yesterday and I’m going crazy trying to handle all the arrangements. I turned on RUclips this morning and this video of you guys was the first one on my home page. Maybe a sign I don’t know. But you two are now my favorite reactors. God bless you both you brought me some peace this morning. 🍻
Love your reaction videos. Keep up the great work!
This is what I love about True Country Music.. tells stories about our lives.. good and bad.. Country music tells a story ... or it used to back in the day..Prayers always to our men and women out there doing what they do everyday
Before i had my right leg amputated in the spring of '19 i had been trucking for 25yrs. My boys loved all of the trucking songs old, and new. I still take em with me on local runs, and their favorite songs a from Tony Justice, I have to play them on repeat, volume all the way up till the speakers sound like they're going to pop. I miss those days of being able to take them with me for a month or two in spring and summers.
I have long haul truckers in my family, a great uncle, uncle and now my brother. These trucking songs hit different for me.
Honestly mid-80s to early nineties Alabama one of the biggest music acts around. That includes any Rock hair metal or anything else. Still one of the few country acts that could do stadium shows
It had been so long since I had heard this song that I had forgotten it. Thank you for playing it, Jay and Amber.
Great song from a great group! Thanks for the memories. Fitting song with the weather this week.
I’d like to see you guys return to Randy Travis. Great country voice listen to Forever and Ever, Amen.
Love Randy Travis ❤❤❤
I've been requesting "Whisper My Name " for awhile now, would love to hear anything by him.😊
I love the way she said "I was having such a good time". Being from Alabama, I grew up hearing this band. Being from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, I knew some of the songwriters and folks associated with the band. My first music festival was their "June Jam" in Ft. Paine, AL. Super fun for a young teenager to attend this with family. An aside, we're 4 or 5 days into the fallout of an ice storm here, and a lot of our grocery stores are empty of fresh food, along with many of our restaurants due to the trucks not making it in yet.
A suggestion for a future video that'll get you hooked going down a rabbit hole for sure. Check out "40 Hour Week" by the band Alabama. It's also about trucking, and was recorded in Muscle Shoals, AL, which was once labelled "the hit recording capital of the world".

I am not much of a country music fan , but I always liked Alabama! They had some great tunes. "Love In the First Degree" & "Take Me Down" come to mind. Thanks. 😎
THIS SONG IS A MIRROR OF ME GROING UP AS A KID. MY DAD DROVE. THERE WAS US 3 KIDS. I ACTUALLY PLAYED THIS SONG AN MY DADS MEMORIAL SERVICE. LOVE AND MISS HIM SO MUCH!
My dad has been a trucker most of my life, and this song has always been a trigger of anxiety for me! Not that i don't love it along with all those old trucker ballads u can only find on those old truck stop mixed tapes. But, I've always had the biggest worry my dad would die on the road, which he's still on. He's one of those old timers who will drive till he absolutely can't anymore.
Not a trucker, nor am I close to one, but this song tugs at my heartstrings every time.
I’m a over the road truck driver and this song has always been one of my favorites, but it really hits different now that I have a wife and 3 kids at home!!
Love me some Alabama!!! Grew up listening to them back then!! The 80s were great for music!!
You can't go wrong wirh Alabama they have so many good songs and it's true country for sure
Alabama is the GREATEST!
Three more great trucker songs that you might check out:
1) Ronnie Milsap - Prisoner of the highway
2) Kathy Mattea - Eighteen wheels and a dozen roses
3) Dan Seals - Big wheels in the moonlight
Another good trucking song from around the same era as this is "Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses" by Kathy Mattea
When it all goes south! Awesome song.
First one LOVE ALABAMA SINCE HIGH SCHOOL. ALONG TIME AGO.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great song. Always loved Alabama. Now you need to check out another song paying tribute to long haul truck drivers. It’s “Driving Wheels” by Jimmy Barnes, another great Australian singer with a fantastic voice that I’m sure you’ll absolutely love!
Alabama was one of the best country groups during the 70’’s & 80,s. ❤️✌🏻🎶
I saw them at the WV State Fair in 1982. I’m not a country music fan but always loved Alabama.
Another GREAT trucking song is Norton Buffalo's 18 WHEELS. You guys like harmonica and Norton is a master. Norton often played with The Steve Miller Band in the 70's.
I've loved the Alabama 18 Wheeler song since it was released. It still makes me cry everytime! Happy stuff always gets me.
Such a great song. A fun trucking one is Convoy. CW McCall originally did it. Paul Brandt re-recorded it with a fun video.
Fantastic group of singers. Alabama is really good. Love this song. Great beat you can tap your foot to the beat.
Mad respect for the Truck Drivers out there!! You guys stay safe in this weather.
To this day when It gets to the part "when the call came in it was Daddy on the other end asking her if she had been singing a song"....I get choked up and teary eyed. 😊
Oooh Alabama and the Eagles are bands I grew up with as they were my dad's favorites. You cant go wrong with either band.
2 classic trucking songs are “Phantom 309” and “Teddy Bear” from Red Sovine. “Looking at the World Through a Windshield” and “Six Days on the Road” are also some outstanding trucking anthems!
They played this song at my Grandpas funeral and now I can't hear it without crying but I still love it and listen alot
my dad was a truck driver i lost him last week this was one of his favorite songs i really needed this tonight i love your channel thank you for this song god bless you and my daddy.
I'm sitting here in my rig at a truck stop in Missouri with a little bit of a tear in my eye. It sounds like your dad was one of the amazing folks that paved the way for folks like me. I have been out here on the road for the better part of 20 years. So, to your Pop's.... "Rest easy Driver. We've got it from here but still need folks like you to watch over us. Keep the rubber side down and we will catch you on the flip flop."

Glad you enjoyed this song! Y’all should do the song “Love in the first degree”. The harmony of this group and the songs they sing are just amazing.
Love their "40 Hour Week".
