Here’s a quick overview of what exactly changed!
Death State When you die, you now turn into a Shadow version of yourself. Land a certain number of hits to respawn -- but the more you die, the more enemies you have to hit!
Ability 1
- Largely unchanged, but we have fixed issues with certain enemies not being able to be Finishered! Now this should be a lot more consistent.
Ability 2
- A combination of his 2 and 3.
- You summon a Sandstorm whirlwind, but it drags enemies beneath your feet so you can ground finisher them.
- Heal for every enemy within your whirlwind.
Ability 3
- The armor part of his 4!
- Can now move while casting
- His Augment is now base kit, meaning he does not receive Status Effects with Armor active*
*Augment now offers death protection, but will hit you with a Slash proc after the Invulnerability period ends.
Ability 4
- The Swarm part of Scarab Swarm -- creates a Swarm that spreads to enemies
- Enemies killed by the Swarm spawn a Sand Kavat that will attack enemies and spread the Swarm
- Now does a Corrosive Proc every tick instead of at the end of the Swarm

I used to play inaro's when he initially dropped but of course his kit did not age well and I haven't played him since. this is very exciting! can't wait!

He never really had a kit. His kit was always just, "Health and Armor: Frame Edition".
As an Ancient Inaros main who hasn't played the game again in almost 7 years...I can hear the Lamentations of my Wallet with the thought of coming back again
Your wallet should not be lamenting itself. Ypu pay nothing on Warframe unless you buy skins.
@@angeluss28 I never was much of a grinder so I always get most of the Warframes with Platinum from either trade chat or from store, and a lot of other things including skins.
@@angeluss28 The game is either pay or grind. I've got 2.3k hours on warframe and gave it up because of the massive grind with every new release. You can pay to bypass those grinds though, and that's what they want you to do. Like I came back for the helminth system and oh hey look you gotta grind to get Khora, one of the best subsumable abilities. Want Gloom? Grind. Resonator? Grind. It's gotten to the point where Prime frames are easier and cheaper to obtain than the regular frames, but you can't subsume a prime frame, so either grind or pay!

Regardless if the rework make him good or not, he is gonna go from 0 interesting abilities to 4 interesting abilities, and i couldnt ask for more for old sand man
His first ability isn't receiving any changes
I mean, I'd have to say his abilities will either go from 1 to 4, or 0 to 3, since his 1 isn't changing mechanically as far as they've told us.

@@DeeJay5K It is being expanded on to include more foes that can be opened up. That adds some interest spice to it even if not mechanically overhauled. Imo🤗

Well, the price will go up yes, but mostly because those that ignored him, even for mastery purposes, will now want him and therefore he will be in much higher demand, exactly like hydroid.

I love nekros, but never imagined owning four primes. No shame in that though. Just can't think of enough builds to make 4 different primes worth it.

Pablo did say his new scarab swarm augment (rework aug) also has the shortest cooldown of all deathless augments or passives, however, the trade off is that you will be reborn with a massive slash proc and be asked to out heal it or die again, which, lets be real, is no issue as even outside his kit, we have rolling guard or vazarin and many other options.
his rework looks good and emphasizes his original idea. gets rid of all the stuck in place and slow abilities putting him in line with the current pace of the game.
Thanks for the informative video, Tater. Greatly appreciated. Because I was considering archon shards for Inaros and since his 4 now does corrosive procs and scales off his health, 2 green shards for full armor strip and health shards might be great.
Since I was never an amazing Warframe player he was always my lazy frame when I didn't really feel like trying just grab the health wall nice to see he's getting a bit of love
Really looking forward to this, gives me reason to finish putting forma into my Inaros, maybe even a reason to put an umbral forma or two into him. I can definitely see people replacing his 1 or 2 with something like Roar, just to have that extra bit of damage to get through some of the higher overguard values on SP eximus units. If he can fully strip armor, I can't see him having any issues with anything less than that, just keep your 3 and 4 up then go to town with whatever weapon you want.
This was pretty much exactly what Inaros needed. 👌👌👌

@@Joe90hI think he means he can subsume thermal sunder onto everyone, (fire blast, terrify and pillages work too) meaning, every frame is worth having.
@@DarkmegaGaming Subsumed Thermal Sunder doesn't armour strip. You need Gauss's battery to make it do that.
@ it strips 50% temporarily by virtue of heat procs.
and it just hits hard enough (and in a wide enough area) each time the heat procs are consumed and refreshed that even with the x10 damage cap on subsume, it still hits pretty hard and wipes most content that matters in a few claps. or atleast softens them up (or freezes and CCs in 2) significantly.
The rework looks good! Now if only my old bestfriend would come back to warframe he loved inaros.

SO GLAD TO HEAR THIS. Inaros main for years. I’ve been running a almost total max health Inaros. I’ve got 11k. On my health build I’m pretty sure I can hit 13-14k
Ha! I already put Wrathful Advance on my Inaros' second config. It replaces his devour ability.
Been using wrathful advance on Hydroid with melee influence and the Bo modded for pure electric, I have a riven with 2.1 range as well. It absolutely destroys eveything. One shots acolytes with ease.
I've been an Inaros main since I acquired him and I mostly solo. With his rework I may have to make a fresh prime copy, retool him some around the changes, and I'm fine with that, honestly. When the Helminth system came I dropped Devour in favor of Garuda's Blood Altar. I was in a clan and alliance at the time so it helped when I'd go in with others for some extra healing at higher levels. I run a vasca so if I'm a little careless (or get trashed by viral) Transfusion can help me in a pinch. Odds are I'll still play solo 95% of the time but being able to do it even better will be nice.
Time for my GOOOLDEN BOY to shine is near.

Inaros is my favorite, I am excited for these changes.
Off the top of my head I imagine mag pull would be good, giving you the potential to finisher knocked down enemies but also pull them into your cone for your 4th. But given that Inaros already comes with plenty of ways to give himself finisher I doubt it will be that impactful. What might be similar but better is Baruuk Lull with Endless Lullaby if you really want to focus on those finishers. Its pretty clear that duration or power strength, depending on how its implemented, would be the least attractive stat for him. Range and efficiency will likely be the second focus after health other than maybe armor.
I think other than wrathful advance, only the typical go-to abilities stand out, nourish, roar, gloom, lycaths hunt. I can see a world where Shooting Gallery can let Inaros turn the fight into a playground where he can do whatever he wants I guess.
The only quirk otherwise I would say using things like Larva, ensnare, or condemn would be worse than pull or airburst because it holds the enemies longer and thus makes it harder to use finisher attacks.
My current Inaros has Terrify over his 3rd ability and he actually brings some good utility to defensive objectives between that CC and armor strip, the CC from the 4 and the CC from the 1, but I am looking forward to not having to subsume an ability to get an armor strip. I wonder how expedite suffering will interact with the scarab swarm and the corrosive procs.
I'm curious with the new possibilities. I have MFD which is extremely tricky to proc since the damage tics from Desiccation will remove it but if done in the correct order can and will woŕk (Des>finisher range MFD>Finisher ASAP). But normally I've just been running Gloom. I have Wraithful on one loadout but wasn't happy with it so we'll see after. So many new possibilities open up with his new 4th!
Im looing at Chroma's helminth because ooo boy that can give some crazy hp values
Ive been using inaros this whole time as just a big dumb brick shithouse of HP, and my only real complaint (apart from the 2 useless and 2 almost useless powers) was that his undying mode was effectively unusable for anything strong enough to actually kill him, and with it overriding last gasp, he was pretty much the only frame that COULD die just from getting downed. That's fixed so Im happy, everything else is gravy.
Now i dont have to regret building his prime
I guess it be time to start lining up Archon Shards. Not sure what I would want to subsume as I'm hoping his kit is good as it is.
They should made the sandstorm where he doesn’t turn around himself it should just be sand around him still able to use weapons but slowing enemy just like Glom but instead of life stealing it jams enemy weapons, giving armor or stripping enemy armors. Since his progenitor is fire they can make the sandstorm affects enemies like fire removing enemy armor.

Im hoping we hear more on protea prime or the infested liches soon bc if this changes inaros to a toxin status for lich weapons ill def wanna use him to farm them

Protea Prime is 2 months out. Primes are roughly 3 months apart and Gauss dropped in January.
Inaros won't be change when it comes to being a Progenitor. Also, heat is probably the better progenitor type in a lot of cases anyway.
Inaros is going to be a god.
I can't wait to try him out. I hope they keep nailing these reworks to bring old favourites back into the new meta.

If the cats spawned by his 1st augment spread scarab swarm, you can safely replace his 4th with Elemental Guard
whenever they remove an ability, like inaros' devour or hydroid's puddle I wish they'd put it in the helmlinth. no one would seriously use them, but I think it could be fun. it'd also be useful for archival purposes
I have been using wrathful advance on em for frofit taker, makes it easier to scale damage for my dark star blade, 300% crit plus wrathful advance crit added with a bunch of crit damage makes profit taker near 5 min farm each time i run
Arcane blessing, guardian and reaper will be lit.
Although I have monkey brain syndrome and like inaros is now im more than hyped for his new kit but I also have a fear for newer warfames in the future. That being that if they can strip armor to sum degree than it may lead to a stagnation in new and inventive frame ability designs

Wrathful advance is literally the best subsume for a Warframe that can’t utilize roar or eclipse,. (everyone can use nourish except Hildryn) I highly suggest it

Frost? Frost is pretty good right now thanks to the armor strip changes and he can use Overguard and Shield gates.
Frost doesn't need a rework, you just don't know how to play him.

I've mained him for years, and his globe is sadly not as useful as other frames defensive abilities. His number 1 is lackluster at best, barely useful at all, since you got the avalanche that does it on a bigger scale, and the wave ability.
He needs to become more up to date when it comes to those 2 abilities.
I've played him in whispers and yes, his avalanche is really good compared to before, and ice wave is better as well, but that's basically it, he's not as useful in defence anymore, which is sad to me. You had him for defence runs, but now, he isn't even that good for it anymore

As a funny note , Nidus augment coming will scale with his passive augment on an umodded Inaros at 300 stacks - Nidus would boost the Inaros prime to 31k health haha

I'm in awe for this rework, i love Inaros in his egyptian space mummy style and a rework was just so needed. Just sad about his passive, his old passive was a cool concept with a very vad integration, this one sounds like a good integration with a bad concept! A sand space mummy that goes around slappung foes in the face with sandy hands to revive himself? Am i a mummy or space Bud Spencer?!

The changes look great, maybe not as drastic as they could be, but man they really missed the opportunity for the Jackal Boy to summon Sand Kubrows. Also the timing of this rework while releasing a Thoth inspired frame is pretty neat too. Egyptian update incoming lol.

Hm. Always wondered, why 100% armor strip? Don't you lose the +75% damage bonus to armor moment the armor is gone? Or does their health count as their armor value?
That only applies if you’re using a damage type with bonus damage to armor like radiation. Other types of damage like heat and viral work better at 100% armor strip. I.e what your weapons are going to be using
You are really better off going for the full strip in basically all cases, as the partial strip strategy only helps you out with about half of Grineer. Plus, if you play in squads, you can't rule out somebody using Corrosive Projection or their own armour strips to break your strategy.
I'm really interested in how the damage his 4 does now.
Considering they changed how the corrosive procs work with the scarb Swarm and that the damage also scales with his Health Inaros will want a Combination of Blue Health Shards and Green Corrosive Shards.
It could be a really good Armor Strip.
Or more green shard for extra ability damage against corrosive procced enemies. That would probably give more than the flat bonus of the blue shards if you're really pushing for pure DPS from the 4.
@Joe90h Either way you got options. You really only want 2 Green Shards because at that point your very likely getting 100% armor strip.
Maybe it will have some odd conversion scaling, like stuff that Lavos has? For example his 1-2-3 scale of ability str, but for his 4th every 500 (1000?) HP will act as seperate ability str that only affects his 4th, so like every 2500 hp = 100% ability str for his 4.
@@marcmichaud1643 I specifically meant you would use one of the other effects green shards have for the other three slots, specifically the one that increases ability damage against corrosive procced enemies. It's a unique multiplier so if you're focusing on his 4 (Or you can augment his 2 to proc corrosive too) it would do more damage than the blue shards.

More scaling from other stats. I LOVE when games give you tools that scale differently. The whole theory crafting aspect of warframe I love. PLEASE give us things like scaling with shields, health, armor, speed, weapons, blah blah blah. Give us Rubedo scaling. Give us credit scaling. Give us total Grineer Scorpion level 10-20 headshot kill scaling.
I want more.
Especially with the scaling content. In match scaling methods would be great.
One of my favourite things about Lavos is that he uses duration a little differently to other frames. And obviously, Gauss's 4 loves all the duration.
Armor scaling already exists on Frost, Rhino and Nezha
Weapon scaling already exists on Atlas, Gara, Khora
Lavos scales off everything
Gauss only has duration scaling.
But ye I'm 100% with ya, we need more stuff that plays unique instead of copy paste 200% range, 45% efficiency, 200% duration, 400% strength, subsume Nourish copy paste.
The game needs more abilities scaling with other stats like HP. I know some already does, but we need more.
Never thought Pablo combine skill 2 and 3 become spinning sucking blood like caliban in this rework.

I want to think this update will do him a lot of good, but will it be good enough to unlink any helmith abilities that most people including myself have flooded his current kit with to an actual purist Inaros build that slaps?
I think with his 2 and 3 combining into a finisher opening invulnerable healing grouping... thing, his 1 will open up for Helminth purposes for those so inclined.

Put the new toggleable Eclipse on him for 90DR, why not, add in health conversion too, who needs shield gating.
I think helminth eclipse caps at 75% irrc but still great on inaros

Frankly, I have no problem with current Inaros. But these changes look pretty good regardless. It doesn't really change his issue of being one-shot by ultra-high level content, though. It would be nice if they could add some small amount of Overguard to his finisher passive. That would at least be a bit of a healthgate bandage.
OK, so his 1 augment is the cat soon. It's his subsume... now to hope they do mini 4s on the subsume if you use the augment

so only his fourth scales with his health or do all of them? If it's only the fourth and the rest scale with power then it's counter productive isnt it?
honestly for his 4, why kavat? DE should reuse the inaros sand golem instead. also they could make his finisher passive more impactful, for example for enemy that has sand in their eyes (read: affected by his 1) finisher will instead spawn inaros golem to do finisher for you.
do you think Arcane Grace will increase in price when Inaros rework releases? since its a good arcane to have with him for even more healing 🤔, also inaros is my top played warframe, 14% atm, i can't wait for this rework to be good since it has been abandoned for a few years for me
It might, but I doubt it. Gargoyle's Cry wasn't that long ago, and anyone who needed Grace got it then. If they missed it, there won't be a massive number of people trying to buy them
Idk about grace, but Blessing might jump in price depending on how strong the scaling for his 4th ends up being.
I was just hoping the passive would be changed completely, but it still makes me feel nice as one of the few inaros mains.

Inaros has always been a more stealth, melee type of frame. More finishers with daggers & hammers!
As endurance player, this rework might be irelevant to me, i need to see his last stand effect when downed. How badly will melee hit counter scale?
