Ready to give up on obs. So disappointing, no wonder what settings I use, I have this problem. Even though task may only shows 5% CPU usage, obs will show it as 55%. I have tried using super fast, very low bitrate. I'm not recording, only streaming, not running any other apps, I'm running as admin, nothing works, it's just getting worse.
@@immaritv_ I started using restream through my browser temporarily. I have since gone back to obs and haven't had issues. I can't remember everything I did. I changed the settings so obs would always run as administrator. I also set each camera to deactivate when not shown and reduced my scenes. I also set it at high priority and disabled several unnecessary background services
I’m overloading and not evening gaming on my pc just recording from my ps5 to my Elgato 4kPro mk2 and having some stuttering ever since I switch to 1440p any tips?
Hopefully this will help, because it tried to automatically find settings for me based on inspecting my PC specs, and it backfired so horribly wrong.....
If anyone please can tell me how to solve this issue i would be so thankful because I haven't been able to record for a month. When I go to record on obs the cpu usage is 0.0%. I have a high end pc and not a lot of cpu is being used up so why cant more cpu be used on obs?
I try recording on any game and the second I press record I feel the game get sluggish and feel like I'm like 20ms behind enemies. My CPU and GPU usage never go past 40% in Valorant... I use all low settings. It makes 0 sense. The lag feels exactly the same on Apex and COD which require way more ressources. And on those neither CPU or GPU go past 90%. I don't get it...
Any reason why obs would be lagging either on or off stream ? I've messed with all the obs settings, turned down my graphic settings in game to and obs still lags when I am capturing a game. In game there is no lag or frame drops, I have 1k down and 50-60 upload typically.
RAM? Mine used to take a long time to load and found out only my onboard wa detected, so i only had 4gb ram. I tried replacing it, to no avail. Ended up getting a new laptop
Hello my name is Maximus, I have some problem with my livestream, i was livestream for like almost 17 days then recently my livestream was lagging but i don't know why it happend, but every livestream i also record it (for clip), is it storage effect on performance when livestream or did something else happend? for almost 17 days i was livestream within default settings for OBS, should i reset the OBS to default settings or upload my livestream-record to oneDrive?
life saver i was using x264 and didn’t realise it was a cpu encoder thank you so much
same
it overloads when i try to record my home screen HELP. i have really good specs and i've recorded in the past i don't understand why its happening
same here, I dont know what's happening. This all started randomly
Same too me
SAME HERE ALL OF A SUDDEN MY END I7 13700K 64GB RAM AND 4080 CAN'T ENCODE AND PLAY OR EVEN JUST SCREEN RECORD - WTH IS GOING ON @@sukdebmajumdar
Try x264 it fixed it for me and I had pretty good specs seems my cpu is beefier than my gpu
I had this problem also.. I unistalled obs and installed obs v27 insteed and the problem was solved :)
hopefully this is the best setting for my setup, very helpful
My issue is this is suddenly happening with NO game running. It hasn't happened in the 3 months I've been streaming, but now it is.
''Settings > Output > Recording Tab > Video Encoder: Hardware (AMD H) change to Software (x264)" Fixed all my problems and it runs like butter now.
Whats annoying is there's a shorts showing you should stream at 8000Kbps and that shorts is completely wrong.
thank you fixed my video stutter when recording!

I like your calming and assuring voice:)
3:02 i don't have nvidia as an encoder option in my obs
So you seen graphics card mainly huh? I have a 3070 and even playing just really low and games I have to drop it to 30 frames a second
Dankie😎👍
you sound like one of those people on the safety guides on the plane
I found a solution.. i installed obs v27 and it fixed the issue :)

I have the same issue, did u manage to fix it?
Maybe it's because your bitrate is 0 or you have an nvidia graphic card and put your setting of fastness on place bo or lower than medium... 😊
It happens when I use the nvidia encoder, but doesn't happen when I use shadowplay, idk how to fix it
How can you record Video file, Audio file and Microphone file separately??
add more scenes with the +
lol i wasnt thinking had a game at 200 fps while streaming no wonder it wouldn't work thx for the reminder and other tips

It overloads the moment I start recording
even with a i9 9900k and a 3080ti avatar sucks its not opt for single pc stream even on low settings

I have a Intel processor and my card is a Nvidia 3060
but there is no NVIDIA thingy and it just keeps saying "Encoder taking too long to encode" and i tried each one of them and still the same thing
only if you have a nvidea gpu😊
my obs is taking so long to open what is the problem?

ok
Bro I have a 3050 and this really shouldn’t be happening
Bro I have a 3080 and it’s happening to me
3050 performs worse than a lot of GPUs that were released 4-5 years ago
i got 4090 idk whaats going onnn
