The way Eren looks in this pic defines his entire character angry, furious and can't comprehend what he saw in the memories the sadness and cruelty he's about to unleash upon this world. He doesn't want to but have no choice you can see him going against himself arguing why he should do what needs to be done and why it is the most inhumane thing and he shouldn't do it. It's not just a fight against the world and fate it's also a fight against his very own self and his humanity.
When she said, "Is that a two-round fight" that was a great foreshadowing. Spoiler It is really a two-round fight as he saw everything through paths and in real life.

But he also realizes that his people won't see the next sunrise if he doesn't throw away his humanity and turn into a monster for his enemies. He had to cast his personal emotions away to complete his duties.

Remember, the whole story was incredibly dependant on a few points. Like how eren transformed last second before being digested by that titan. And how eren was given the key before the attack. And how mikasa was adopted by them. You cannot blame eren for his actions. If you had your home taken from you and had to become an indirect slave your whole life you would have protested. Its a story from the past with a few differences to make it a true masterpiece.
This was the moment where, whether you realize it or not, Eren decided he needed to be the villian of this story, and this decision was the most heroic act in the entire story of Attack On Titan.

Remember, the whole story was incredibly dependant on a few points. Like how eren transformed last second before being digested by that titan. And how eren was given the key before the attack. And how mikasa was adopted by them. You cannot blame eren for his actions. If you had your home taken from you and had to become an indirect slave your whole life you would have protested. Its a story from the past with a few differences to make it a true masterpiece.
