The depot scene was on an old-time radio tape I had in 1983, when I was 14. My first exposure to the radio show. I'd been watching the TV show for a few years with my dad. I've loved Jack and the gang nearly my whole life! I'm 53 now.
3:03- JACK: "Roosevelt did." ED: "Oh, that's good. I always thought Teddy DESERVED another term!" JACK: "Gee, you HAVE been down here a while, haven't you?"

Have been a fan of the show for years, eversince some local radio stations would broadcast re-runs. LOL with how the vault alarm ends with a fog horn.
I love all the vault schtick over the years.
In the habit of listening to these when we go to sleep.
The guard was played by Joseph Kearns who would later become mr. Wilson on Dennis the Menace
He appeared as "Ed" for the next ten years.

Golden Age of Comedy. It's a shame most of the jokes are dated now, but the laughs at the time were precious.
