    The vocal group Kakà ni Waima’ hail from the village of Naqara, Waima in Naitasiri, Fiji. The composer of the group was retired school teacher Tevita Koroi ( Senior) former ‘ Taukei Vusovuso’ during his time.
    ‘Cava Noqu Cala’ was composed Tevita Koroi (Snr) in 1968 and was sung members of the Vusovuso tribe plus some members of the village of Naqara.
    The soloist for this composition is MACIU Namoro Gaunaca. Other members of the group include Samuela Rasavucala, Peni Turua, Savenaca Laqekoro, Josevata Koroi, Moritikei Koroi, Kelemedi Koroi, Sikeli Namoro, Uluiasi Nomoro, and a few others.
    Lead guitarist Apakuki Mate from Kadavu led the musical piece.
    The song is about Mereoni Vulawalu Kubukawa from Volivoli village, Sigatoka, Nadroga who after having married Moritikei Koroi of the Vusovuso tribe and bore two boys ( Tevita and Naibuka ) returned to her village in 1962 and never returned. She later remarried and had three more children while Moritikei also remarried and also had three children. Mereoni passed on on the 5th of February, 1995, while Moritikei passed on the 13th of January, 2001. This is a tribute to Tevita G Koroi ( Snr.) Former Head Teacher, Composer, Farmer, former Taukei Vusovuso, and a mentor for the Yavusa.
