Someone’s skin color cannot be changed but being overweight/obese can, there’s a huge difference. People are not born into being obese/fat and even if they are, it can be changed. Those who say otherwise are just making excuses. As a plus size woman, I don’t support stores that don’t support me. Instead I focus my time on money on the stores that do. That’s all Leo was saying. But with all that said, I do agree that if people wanna waste their energy fighting for what they truly believe in that is their right and their business!

I hate to break it to you, but companies dont simply change bc they are called out and suddenly they feel morally obligated to. They expanded the shade range after seeing they could make more money from it. Period. There is primarily the financial aspect, the social aspect comes second (if it comes in consideration at all) but they will market it as if it’s their primary motivation for change. Same thing with retail. If it was undeniably more profitable for companies to make the changes in their plus size clothing, trust me, they would have already done it. But if its not in their interest, there is no amount of activism or calling out that will convince them to change and loose money in the process. Its as simple as that. So if people who are complaining about it want to actually make this change happen, they should start by looking into making their demands look financially appealing for companies. And I mean really looking into the whole production chain and knowing all the costs that go into making these clothes and how that will reflect in prices and demand. Not just going on tiktok and sayingn “ if they made plus size clothes, we would buy it!!”. Be thorough about it

However, I slightly disagree with the notion of advocacy, which I don't think he was referring to. The fashion and beauty industries have long struggled with inclusivity issues. Advocating for better industry standards is important, but this responsibility doesn't solely fall on specific brands. I strongly support body neutrality. And we can influence the market by encouraging the creation of products for larger bodies, disabled bodies, various skin tones, and more, through our purchasing choices.

I agree 100% with what he was saying and the reason is I went from 119 pounds. I was a size 0 0 now that was many many years ago and then I got pregnant. I shot up to 365 pounds have my baby lost it same thing happen next time lost it all but then my mom and my grandma died and I gained it all back. I went from 120 pounds to 385 pounds within 3 to 6 months because I was sitting in my big butt on the couch, eating chips and cookies and I was so depressed. Yeah I had a really hard time finding clothes, but I made myself that way most of my family and my mother side is very obese sung by some because of health reasons. And if we are going to shoes to put cakes and cookies and I’m saying that’s only to the ones who are shooting to live in overweight lifestyle, not medical issue reasons then you can’t have the world revolve around you. Nobody is going to make full figure hallways and bigger beds and bigger anything because you wanna gain weight and stay big and unhealthy. No, not everybody who is overweight is unhealthy. That is why I said this is just reflecting the ones who choose that lifestyle, I can barely breathe. I could barely walk. I had to hold my stomach when I walk because I’m only 5 foot of mine and I lost all the weight took me four years to take off work put in six months if you want to choose to be overweight and you can’t find the right size clothing you better become a seamstress and stop thinking that the world should revolve around you!!
Then why does the world revolve around skinny people who decided who it revolve around and which is more to be catered to??? America is a majority of plus size men and women so why should the world around them not reflect choices for them as well
