I did a little camping and metal detecting with my friends Steve and Annie while in Arizona. Unfortunately, very little of the footage I took with them came out so it's mostly me you see. I just wanted to say that I am very grateful for your videos. I share really enjoy watching your adventures. Thanks for being an awesome content creator. After a long day at work I love watching your stuff to unwind. Really, keep up the good work!
Same here. We always turn on your videos as soon as we get home from work. Everyday the question is asked by one of us is does Chigg have a new video today. Your videos are a highlight of our day!
Was going through my junk metal from detecting (haven't gone through it since September) and came across a thin brass plate I saw some words on it and glad I kept it, it's a marine band harmonica made in Germany has a US patent Aug 24th 1897 there used to be an old store beside my house the person who owned it also built my house (1894) was supposedly a road house for a bit then a farm
Thanks for sharing the video! I always enjoy prospecting in Arizona. From Gold Basin all the way down to Bisbee, the Mohave and Sonoran Deserts are beautiful places to kick around in!
I love this guys attitude, this guy is my favorite RUclipsr hands down, but i need to share his vids more though.dude i love when he laughs its awsome idk just good content
hey, that picture at 16:06, was that one of them Tesla-Dude Space launch or a comet passing high, or a Nuke... RUN!!! ;-) ;-) ;-) Thanks Mr Chigg :-) :-)
Thank you for another vid from the SW trip (my favorite:) I think that the chunk of steel at the 9 or so min. mark is part of an end to a pick, I find the same things here in MT. I have also found the tip of the pick and a few inches back. Tough work in hard rock for sure, hope there was a smithey around.
Regarding that tin you found, I saw a Pioneer Brand Baking Powder tin for sale online that looks just like it. It says Registered June 11, 1881 on the side, so that may roughly date it.
Botanical Garden might be more accurate than Arboretum because it’s not just trees. Also I like the idea of the miners baking scones out in the desert.:)
I do really well using the axiom. It appears that your coil is upside down. Turn it around and you will do better. If using the mono coil, the front edge is the most sensitive. Best of luck in the future!
nice video chigg. digging in the desert just takes you back in time. interesting pics at the end, what were those lights? I bet you've seen some interesting things in the night sky on your adventures
On BLM land you’re limited on the amount of rocks you can take. I believe it’s 25 lbs IIRC. The intent of not taking relics is to prevent people from ransacking archaeological sites. That’s my take on it. It may be a lot of trash, but you can see how it can be used to date a site.
That brass rivet could be from a pair of Levi jeans. The story goes that Levi jeans used to have a copper rivet right near where a man's gonads are. Result, when too close to a campfire the rivet would heat up. One nasty way to wake up. That ended when somebody high up in Levi Jeans company experienced a wake-up call.
I just did a quick search for Pioneer baking powder. They were started in 1851 in Texas and still make baking powder and other items. Their addess is in San Antonio, TX. Cool find. I wonder how old the container is?
Hey Chigg! Question I’m not sure you’ve addressed: what do you do with all of your waste lead/unidentifiable lead bits? Do you cast them into ammo? Recycle them in a different fashion? Curious.
just a random question...have you seen a couple cars out in the field one looks like a white cadillac with bullet holes in it? i heard that is a neat place do you know what town it is near? thanks
Great adventure and those pictures at the end of the space x launch were cool it was a perfect Arizona evening for that launch and it was absolutely amazing to watch it looks like you had an awesome view from your location did you know it was space x at the time or did you figure it out later ? thanks for sharing see you on the next one
Beau when I detect ghost towns and mining camps I put my iron on big rocks. Also use the Bunk's prospecting pick (wide blade) with rare earth magnets on the blade. Also that nugget in the beginning might be electrum.
I grew up out there in the area and roamed the desert never knowing there be gold in there them sands. Find meteorite and u will have to leave it as it will be far to old.
I think there will never be any archeologists out in the desert golng threw the dirt. Better luck next time. I think i would have used both detectors. The 24k is more sensitive to targets that are shallow. The new machine is a great tool finding civil war stuff too. When you find a big nugget it will be worth it. I think you have to dig up a hundred to one piece of gold. Tell you phantom friens hello.
Sorry you didn’t find any gold. I enjoyed the video anyway. I always love your videos why was that one cow just standing there by itself. At the very end of the video, what was that? Does anybody know? Please keep making your videos I really really enjoy them.

Thanks Chigg. Been watching for years. Gonna start giving back more.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate that.
With all the craziness in the world, the Chigg still digs in the dirt. I always look forward to seeing your videos.

Good afternoon from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else
If you find cubic iron like that in a pegmatite vug, it's limonite after pyrite, meaning it once was shiny pyrite.
Thanks brother, hope ya hit some color.
looks like another planet out there
I liked it, I liked it alot.

Right on chigg keep hunting
Another great video :)
Love your channel. I subscribed.
All , of those Plants , are Thorn .
They say that during the Gold Rush in Alaska, the early miners were pulling out nuggets the size of potatoes in the streams.
They say. But the natives would have had a big collection too so?
nice video chigg. digging in the desert just takes you back in time. interesting pics at the end, what were those lights? I bet you've seen some interesting things in the night sky on your adventures
At least the cow didn't have rabies...could you imagine chigg getting is ass bit by a beaver and a cow in the same year!! Lol
Cows do get rabies though ;)

Yep, exactly right.

The sky looks amazing at the end👍was that a ufo 🛸zooooming away?? You did not show us the piece of gold💰he found☹
SpaceX launch in California , but I'd rather say it's a UFO 😆
I just did a quick search for Pioneer baking powder. They were started in 1851 in Texas and still make baking powder and other items. Their addess is in San Antonio, TX. Cool find. I wonder how old the container is?
The bull was clearly standing right over some Gold Coins.
Hey Chigg! Question I’m not sure you’ve addressed: what do you do with all of your waste lead/unidentifiable lead bits? Do you cast them into ammo? Recycle them in a different fashion? Curious.
Recycle it. 45 cents a pound today.
@@aquachigger Huh. Sounds like a decent way to make some pocket change!
@@Dank-gb6jn a tenth of a gram a pick it'll take awhile
@@dannysulyma6273 yeah, for a couple extra bucks, sure. Course, even a few extra cents in your pocket is better than nothing I guess.
Hey Chigg and your friend
just a random question...have you seen a couple cars out in the field one looks like a white cadillac with bullet holes in it? i heard that is a neat place do you know what town it is near? thanks

Cool photos at the end Beau - what rocket was that?
Where was this? We're out in lake Havasu metal detecting..
Beau when I detect ghost towns and mining camps I put my iron on big rocks. Also use the Bunk's prospecting pick (wide blade) with rare earth magnets on the blade. Also that nugget in the beginning might be electrum.
I'm over the desert videos.....
Try to find clutched patches going up the hill or in the side of the hill and follow them. When hunting for nuggets.
Clutched patches?
Those square nails could be from shoeing their mules
Chigg how can I tell it is just lead and not gold covered with mercury? God Bless you, (Glen).
Research southern Colorado
I grew up out there in the area and roamed the desert never knowing there be gold in there them sands. Find meteorite and u will have to leave it as it will be far to old.
😀
How did that flir camera phone work out?
COOL Chigg. Love your hat. What does the bull eat There??
A lead back tooth?
careful i've seen mountain lion tracks around were theres hoof prints.
No doubt they are around there. I always watch my back.
GOLD GOLD GOLD ??? KKKKKKK WONDERFUL AMAZING KKKKK
Looks fun
The flat cactus is editable. Pill all the stickers out ans slice it green bean size and saute it in olive oil and seasoning. You won't starve
Don't get excited about iron pyrite . ( LOL )
If ur new to metal detecting what metal detector would be good to get that will not cost u an arm and a leg! Thanks!!

😀💙🦎
What on earth is that bull doing out there? What does it eat, or more importantly, drink?
There's are many plants that contain nutrients and water for all animals in the desert
You need to visit new Hampshire if you like metal detecting.
Hardly worth sniping in AZ. Bullets everywhere. Some nugs are black varnished!
UFOs??
Was that a scorpion crawling around in the scene where you dropped the camera? Yikes!!
Hey Chig, fyi from an Arizonan. You are in the Sonoran Desert not the Mojave. There are no Sahuaro cactus in the Mojave desert.
Sorry you didn’t find any gold. I enjoyed the video anyway. I always love your videos why was that one cow just standing there by itself. At the very end of the video, what was that? Does anybody know? Please keep making your videos I really really enjoy them.
Watch those scrub bulls mate.
As much time as you spend in the desert regions, dont you run into any snakes?
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
I searched PIONEER BAKING POWDER and got a registration date of June 11, 1881
Check the Giant Ant at minute 7:18-19.
If Steve and Annie are finding gold, follow Steve and Annie.
Maybe next time Chigg
Any meteorites
There aren't any naturally growing saguaros in the Mohave desert. Yet, I see many in the video. Hmmm.
It's on the edge out near Kingman. Might actually be the more toward the Sonoran. C'est la vie,
@@aquachigger Fair enough. The northern most saguaro is found not far from Kingman.
He is standing on the gold
👊🤩👍
Good morning, Aqauchigger
Good evening ;)
Are you ir have you yet passed by Currie,Nevada to look for Aiden the missing young man ?
MOOOOOO🐂😂
