I saw the scene on TV. I remember the part where Jack commented that John was like a bartender or some other ignorant person spouting his opinion of Salinger. @@ayoutubeuser3901
Interesting, I just read how unfair this all is to Capote. How he wrote some very good short stories for various outlets after his bombshell tease of 'Cote' and why oh why harsh on this delicate man lashing out for genuine mistreatment in his early life translating to the puffery of his now. I guess this is an example of 'live by the sword, die by the sword,' analogy. Like, why did he ghost Harper Lee when she was his grunt for In Cold Blood? Was it just because she became a best seller before Tru with her 'To Kill A Mockingbird'?! He proved petty early on and thus he, creative genius surgically skewered the Swans. As his devoted Jack tried to warn, Tru's deep dysfunction held him back from a good duel. He struck first and deep at a Medusa. Shoulda known better Dill...
2:44 Do you know how many of you there have been? the barback with profound literary insight, the rough trade who just adored Salinger 😂
I'm sure they had their reasons, but I truly wonder "Why?" they cut this scene!
This is from the Director’s Cut, it’s on Hulu
JUST amazing! Beats, timing, the sly barbs of the era.....Really cut for time?
Murder By Death is on YT
Russell is great. But he was extremely one-dimensional in this series.
Such a great scene. Did Van Sant agree to cut this scene? Whom do we blame?
I hated the scenes with John!
Great scene... 👍
This wasn't cut. It was on TV.
No this scene was not included in FX's tv episode, it's in the director's cut on Hulu website.
