  • Dr. Russ has always believed that life is a little easier in everything you do, if you are a good person first. That includes shooting air guns in your backyard, on the range or on a serious hunt with others. Here again, he shares some notes on lessons that he has learned to be a better person … along with some hunting tips with your air gun. #airrifles #airgunhunting #airriflehunting

    Enjoyed the video as always! The Hatsan Piledriver made me think about my wanting to purchase a .50 cal. You have both the Piledriver and the AEA Challenger .50. Which would be your choice between the two? I know the AEA has the new Challenger Elite series, which are regulated, and they have a .51 in addition to the .50. So many choices and I want to get it right! I’ll be calling to order one of your “Deal Breaker” sheets very soon. Thanks again for the great content.

Both do the same damage down range ... and both are reasonable accurate ... especially for the Wild Hog hunt that we leave for tomorrow morning... but neither is regulated ... and that is on my deal breaker list for future changes. ... space for this 30 day trip is limited or I would take several large bore guns and decide when I get there.... currently leaning towards an air rifle that shoots arrows... time will tell... some good videos planned for this trip ... hope you find them informative... I love your videos! But I noticed you talked about when to shoot a doe and how she stomps whenever she senses danger for her fawn to know; I wanted to speak my mind about this one thing, please, never shoot a doe if she has babies. The babies will not survive without a mother. That being said, this is the ONLY thing I disagreed with and this video taught me so much. Thank you Dr. Russ!!!

    Got a question I think you can answer well. I have moderator on gun and 3x9 scope. Gun is accurate, but lower third of image is ocupated by shade. Should the scope be raised, as I herd, inaccuracies arises. Thoughts and tips? I do have plan and its in motion, getting shock absorber which will add separation of ten to fifteen mm.

    • @russjones6497
      @russjones6497 Год назад +2

      Milan ... it is good to hear from you ... I dont have a clear understanding of your scope problem... I am still going to try and answer ... the "shade" likely means that your scope is too low and that you need higher mounts. The shade is likely coming from front sights. Once you have that scope higher ... I believe your problem will be solved. Dr. Russ

    • @milan425
      @milan425 Год назад +1

      @@russjones6497 yup. I just mounted the shock absorber between scope and gun, raised it about an inch. Is that too much? I mean I can fit two fingers between scope forward lens and barrel.
