Chicago Bears offensive Coordinator Shane Waldron deserves a public apology for how quickly he has turned around this Chicago Bears offense.
After their loss to the Colts, Waldron was almost ran out of Chicago for low production out of the offense and not helping Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams. Luckily for Waldron, a conversation with Cole Kmet, DJ Moore, and Marcedes Lewis helped get Waldron to go outside his comfort zone.
Bears Offense Through 6 weeks:
Total Yards: 1,809, 22nd in the NFL, slowly climbing their way up
Total Passing: 1,108, 22nd in the NFL
Total Rushing: 629, 25th in the NFL, was last 3 weeks ago
Total Points: 148, 12th in the NFL, best you didn’t expect that
Weeks 1-3 yards
Titans: 64 passing, 84 rushing, 148 total yards, no TD
Texans: 134 passing, 71 rushing, 205 total yards, 1 rushing TD, 2 INT
Colts: 332 passing, 63 rushing, 395 total yards, 2 passing TD, 2 INT
So you saw progression, but not enough scores on offense
Last 3, since that talk, MUCH different
Week 4-6 yards
Rams: 133 passing, 131 rushing, 264 total yards, 1 passing, 2 rushing
Panthers: 296 passing, 128 rushing, 424 total yards, 2 passing, 3 rushing
Jaguars: 221 passing, 152 rushing, 373 total yards, 4 passing, 1 rushing
Overall The Bears offense has improved significantly.

Sometimes it takes time to gel and it seems like it’s starting to be put in place
Still need to start out a game with a decent drive. The initial play calls are so predicable that other team defenses sit on the plays. If we change that up a bit and take the lead early, it’ll make a big difference in how the game progresses with this defense.
Great job by Shane to adjust after a few discussions, this is a different team offensively and hopefully will keep getting better each week.

Well our worry was justified game versus Colts calling shot gun redzone runs was terrible but has been much better!
I have to point out our scripted plays suck as much as previously. We still started with two 3 and outs last week as usual.
I'm a big enough person to admit being wrong. I was 1 of the people calling for Waldrens head after 3 games. However, he has shown the ability to change on the fly. Unlike Gutless before him. Is it my imagination or does the Raiders offense seem to be stuck in neutral kind of like ours was?
I'm giving the like for your content but I'm not apologizing to the OC yet. I would like this offense to move the ball from the start.
