We really love the training hearts catechisms. They have been sooo great for beginning apologetics. We read the poetic retelling of pilgrims progress along with it. I love form 1. It’s so fun!! We use the ywam picture ones as well. You might check our CM Simple studies. Crystal has done a great job and she adds in coloring pages that you can use for that or tracing and drawing in or painting in notebooks. Her hope and hero guide uses 50 famous stories and she has a ton for natural history and burgess!! I just love her. We are using her Middle Ages one and america! So many wonderful picture books and chapter book ideas.
This looks like it will be a beautiful year! I also have an upcoming 1st grader this year. We are using CM Simple Spanish this year. Lots of Spanish songs, poems, and Bible verses we will be learning in Spanish. We are also using the YWAM picture book missionary stories. They are so well written, and definitely engaging for the younger years. I will be looking into some of the resources you mentioned. Especially the folk song book, and the brush drawing! ☺️
@@_anourishedlife_ It is a very sweet easy Spanish resource to use, having no background in spanish. Also, I would love to hear how you will plan out a history cycle too. I’m considering doing the same or maybe using AGF or similar curriculum to build upon.
@@Busybeeexplorers I will probably do a 4 year cycle starting with ancient times next year when I have 2 formal students! Going to be looking more into that this year :)
Canticos has some great Spanish songs! Might be a little “young” for your older kid but it has some classic Spanish songs and littles love them.
