Hello JR, nice and helpful video. (i’m french my English is quiet bad). I’ve a little question can i include a command in order to start an action at a precise time? Thanks
Sorry for the late response, DS1302 doesn't have internal battery, you need to put CR2032 battery so that even you disconnect the port and there's no power in the project, the time will be still updated.
and additional information, the codes for setup loop, which is myRTC.setDS1302Time - this syntax will set the time and date of RTC, after you set up the time with RTC, disconnect for a moment the RTC with Arduino and "comment out" that part then upload, to prevent always setting up the time during powering on the Arduino.
Question: I set time and date in the code, but in the Serial Monitor, time is OK but dates are 0/0/2000 and there is other numbers after like: 8:9:2...... 8:9:43 What Am I doing wrong?
Sorry for the late response, in the setup function of Arduino codes you will found the syntax myRTC.setDS1302Time(), just change the value then upload. Then Your DS1302 time will be already set. Then disconnect the RTC to your Arduino and uncomment that syntax on your codes so that it will it not keep on setting the RTC every time you power on the Arduino.
Hi Jubert, kindly check that all your connections are correct and there's no loosing. And if it is still not fix the problem, kindly give us more details so that we can help you. Pinoy po ba?
