The Mob Reporter here with big news on an important story, a milestone event in the life of an intriguing and beguiling figure who until his arrest was perhaps the most important organized crime figure most people had never heard of.
On Dec. 22, 2022, Tse Chi Lop, 59, a Chinese national with Canadian citizenship, finally arrived in Australia after fighting furiously to avoid his extradition from the Netherlands. His alleged organization was called The Company, or the Sam Gor Syndicate, Cantonese for Brother Number Three, which is one of Tse’s nicknames. Their cash cow is methamphetamine and other synthetic drugs, an absolute tidal wave of them. Sam Gor is said to be the world’s biggest player through the entire Asia-Pacific region, potentially the largest market on earth. It was mostly made on an industrial scale in Asia’s Golden Triangle.

This man is the person i blame for the current fentanyl crisis that the world is facing currently. His organization's push for synthetic drugs has significantly changed the drug landscape in the last ten or so years. Updates like this is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Fentanyl wasn't his thing. You can blame the Chinese Government for allowing that to happen. It and its precursors are largely made in actual factories in China. Sam Gor's business is mostly methamphetamine and heroin. Really the war on drugs is responsible for the explosion of synthetic drugs. It was inevitable as the don't require crops to be grown. Dr Alexander Shulgin wrote a paper for the DEA predicting it in the 1970's.

There are 1000's of drug king pins out there
I believe if the courts have evidence (and I use that term loosely) of 5 or more individuals below you in a drug ring, they can charge you with Kingpin status.
So if you happen to be a high school kid that bought an ounce of weed and sell some to your classmates. Who then sell some of that to the freshmen in nickle and dime bags. Then one of their psycho moms find it. You instantly get promoted from Wendy's Fry cook, to the "The Kingpin" of a whole drug empire.
There's always somebody wanting to throw the dice. The real ones you never hear of. The others are lifetime cooperates. The others just pay taxes and sell out of a pharmacy
