- Once again we were faced with a 6+ hour upload time for this video because we weren't able to get the wifi set up in our apartment. This video would have taken max 20 mins to upload in Canada... Arguments are important. Relationships are about constant mutual forgiveness because you're constantly learning who you are as an individual as well as how to compromise as a couple. Be worried when you stop arguing because that means someone has either stopped growing or has given up trying in the relationship. The trick is to make each argument count by learning something in the breakdown. Never sweep it under the rug, that's where toxicity comes from. But you both seem to be innate learners and seekers of authenticity (that's why I'm drawn to your channel) so I wouldn't be concerned :). Thanks for sharing x
Be worried when you stop arguing ? ... there are other ways to negotiate and hear someone else's needs....arguing doesn't have to be happening.... there can be tension and understanding happening without arguing...sure, it will happen sometime but watch out if it is happening a lot.,,

I have now been in a relationship for 3 months now and we're both in our late teens. She's amazing and it has been going well but the last few days I got anxious about our relationship. We got into a very emotional talk, a fight if you will, and we decided not to break up. I have the same problem Sadie has and it really struck me when she told about the part with her friend. Fights happens in a relationship, whatever it is a love relationship or a friendship or between relatives. I think what it's important it's not hurt the other person deeply.

This comment is to thank you guys. I found this channel a few days ago and I watched a lot of your videos. And I learned so much with you guys. Not just by what you say, but also by paying attention at how you two are. You are so honest, autenthic, real. I finally understood what is really important in a relationship: being real and seing each other as also real. Accepting that we all do wrong things, but that's not a reason to give up on people (if both parts are trying to grow and learn). I see you two don't try to be perfect, you are you, you are real.
I really like to hear your thoughts on things. You both have sdifferent perspectives sometimes and i love hearing both.

And FYI - I love the idea of separate rooms. And then sleep together most nights or if you need space, you have an area to go!
From what I've learned in a very similar relationship, I could give two pretty generic pieces of advice.
1) Do your best not to forget that you love and respect your partner. You need just enough composure to remember how much the relationship means to you - practice helps (even fighting needs practice).
2) Looking into the root of the fight. It's never about what they did, it's about what it made you feel. Instead of "You did this and it's universally a bad thing" it needs to something like "When you did this i felt like crap because I felt betrayed/ignored and here is my reasoning so as to why..."
And yeah, strong couples are not those who don't fight, but those who are constructive at it.
That's so true...I wish I could find someone who is this mature and knows how to communicate well.

Possible suggestion: somethg my Love & I did after an argument, we'd sit face to face holding hands, take turns sincerely saying to the other's eyes, "Know who you are.... know what you stand for ...& know that I LOVE you."
