Just want to clarify something, as someone who is a big fan of crossover games. While Lego Dimensions and Funko Fusion are similar in the fact that they are a crossover of various intellectual properties, the difference is that Funko Fusion is NOT a toys to life game. You dont need to purchase the funko pops of those characters to access them in the game. Everything is included in the game itself, and as far as I know, you do not need to spend external money to purchase characters that are listed in the game. There might be DLC for MORE characters, but as far as I'm aware, any character advertised to be in the game is included without the need for a purchase
As intrigued as I am by this game, I would like more properties like Loony Tunes, anime, sports or rock bands. Maybe there will be a DLC at a later date or they'll just make a sequel game.
@Dorian_Scott . Nope, not at all. Unless you like crappy ports of dancing games ruining your banger of a representation of a what a Nintendo Direct is SUPPOSED to be like. From basically a whole new Shin Megami Tensei game, to a new Mario & Luigi game, to a new Metroid Prime game next year (maybe?), to Marvel Vs. Capcom FINALLY getting re-released after nearly 25 years, this year is the year of the BEST announcements EVER. Also, there's the Paper Mario TTYD remake, after 20 years, the final Ace Attorney games being ported over(the Miles Edgeworth games,). Because I've played ALMOST every Ace Attorney game, EXCEPT the second Edgeworth game, but I loved the first Ace Attorney Investigations game. It proved that Edgeworth could carry his own game, not that he couldn't before. But I'm glad we're FINALLY getting both Edgeworth games. I usually don't watch Directs live but I'm glad I did for this one so I could avoid spoilers, so much good stuff coming and we're finally getting officially localised AAI2 after THIRTEEN YEARS!!
Yeah, about time for AAI2! It's the final Ace Attorney game we all needed, but never got...until now. Now, we just need the Prof. Layton vs. Phoenix Wright crossover game...but it's not like we can't wait for a bit longer. I mean, I knew we'd finally get both AAI2 and Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice eventually, after waiting a decade and a half for both games. But I'd say the wait is worth it. As long as the games are as good as they were originally. Especially the second AAI game. I loved the first one, and I'm glad Kay is back as a partner in both of Edgeworth's games. He definitely deserved his own teenage girl sidekick, that was like Maya. But he DID have Detective Gumshoe, and Franziska(with her deadly whip of doom), who I'm not calling Edgeworth's sidekick, she's just the girl that was training with Edgeworth. But it's about time that we can all get around to playing the Ace Attorney series, instead of just random fan translations.
@@HenshinFanatic You think Zelda will ever end as long as it makes money? I can't imagine the game series going really well and Nintendo decide to make the very last Zelda game. They wouldn't cut their nostalgia driven cash cow, that's how Nintendo survives.

It should've been the third, but I just really hated how its job system actually worked, and that sucked a lot of the fun out of it for me. Especially for like the entire second half of the game, once you get to the point of being able to change your jobs, because of how sloppily that feature was handled.
From what we saw in the Jubille footage. Stars are back to 20 coins. Not sure if they still have character-unique dice or not. UPDATE: On the official box art. Mario is holding a dice that has an '8' on one of its sides. Back to standard 1-10 dice and no more character-specific dice? I think possibly!

@@Steve-Fiction But Romancing SaGa 2 is anything but short, no idea on Fantasian but I'd guess it's short for a Sakaguchi helmed game since it was previously Apple Arcade exclusive, M&L games aren't long for RPGs either, but then we've got two upcoming SRPGs in Phantom Brave's new installment and the new project from the creators of Danganronpa. New Denpa Men will also probably be long (as a f2p game) so it can milk the whales for the maximum amount of time, Farmagia is some weird hybrid of Rune Factory, Pokémon, and Pikmin so no telling how long that's going to be.
I absolutely adore seeing your reactions to the stuff. Please continue doing these! On an added note, I have been waiting patiently for a video about monster Hunter Wilds! I am excited as a dual blade user, and cautiously optimistic as one of the five hunting horn mains 😂
M&L was thought dead when AlphaDream went bankrupt. MvC2 was thought dead forever after Capcom lost the Marvel license again for many of the exclusive characters after the 360/PS3 days. AAI2 was thought to be forever locked to Japan (barring the fan translation) due to some bad release timing coinciding with the 3DS. MP4 was thought to be in development hell, just like Dread before it. I guess the moral of the story is…Mother 3 and Silksong still have hope.
When I saw Fantasian I just couldnt stop smiling. FINALLY off Apple! So excited to play the game Hironobu Sakaguchi made after he was inspired playing FF6 again!
Something I learned just now involving Paper Mario TTYD and Metroid Prime 4; Nintendo won't even let you preorder their games online at Walmarts anymore (Yes, somehow this is real. I would put in a link but RUclips auto deletes comments with links).

Dragon Quest 1-3 are each extremely short rpgs that are well worth the time! I recently played DQ3 for the first time last year and im excited to play it again because it looks STUNNING and i can maybe try some different classes this time
Dragon Quest 1 has aged poorly, in my opinion. Still the fact remains, the series is SO underrated outside of Japan. I would recommend any DQ game except for the very first one & also "Dragon Quest: Swords" for the Wii.
@@monstersociety3360 DQ2 aged the worst to me, but I get what you mean with 1. I could never recommend DQ7 to anyone because I don't know who has that time or patience I'm hoping DQ 1+2 HD-2D are going to bring some quality of life into the mix
@@justwantawholename Really? What about DQ2 do you feel has aged? I mean, you're entitled to your opinion, but now my curiosity has been sparked. For the record, my first experience with 1 & 2 was with the OTHER remasters already available on the Switch. (That's another thing - two remasters of the same games but with different graphics on the same system. What a world. I'm getting the PC ports of the upcoming trilogy, PC is my main.)
@@monstersociety3360 I think Dragon Quest 1 works well as an adventure game in that you're simply thrust out into the world, and have a noble quest you must complete. It's simple, but it does what it needs to. The problem is that the battles are extremely boring because they're always 1v1, and almost always boil down to either, "Are you strong enough to button mash to victory?" or, "Did your sleep spell work?"
@@gurvmlk My thoughts exactly! DQ1 lacks the inherent battle strategy one might expect from multiple party members, multiple abilities across those party members, all versus multiple enemies with multiple different abilities! I love what DQ1 started, and thankfully it's fairly short. I would compare the first Dragon Quest to ripping off a bandaid. It's brief & it's a little painful... but you'll be glad you did it.

Now they have to come out with a Zelda games called something of power and you play as Ganon
They'll save it for the last game of the franchise, and it will put an end to Demise's curse once and for all.
@@HenshinFanatic You think Zelda will ever end as long as it makes money? I can't imagine the game series going really well and Nintendo decide to make the very last Zelda game. They wouldn't cut their nostalgia driven cash cow, that's how Nintendo survives.
Oh THAT would make MONEY.
@@lightsideofsin8969Yeah but then like five years later they'd realize that and be all "uh yeah ok so that was just the end of ONE timeline so here's a different one..."
Thanks for the reaction video! Watching the direct was great, but your enthusiasm added to my own!
Yes Jared, I’d love to see more reactions like this
The new Mario and Luigi reminds me of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I hope they stay away from any spider ladies 😂
Thanks!
Thank you!
@@projarednow you have money. Buy that Switch. LoL
I always look forward to Jared's reactions to these. Shame we didn't get it for any of the other showcases earlier this month
Very Excited for The Legend of Link
14:23 I wish it was The Legend of Link: Echoes of Wisdom. It just makes sense in my head.
Projared and the death by a thousand rpgs
Love to see Jared being so energetic with this one.
This was a good ass direct.
The metal slug guys have been getting the absolute most of those sprites for nearly twenty years now
I’m so happy Mario and Luigi is back!
yay, DQ2 is seriously underrated
*shudders in Rhone*
I only recently played through the original three games on the NES a couple years ago for the first time, and the second one was definitely my favorite. It should've been the third, but I just really hated how its job system actually worked, and that sucked a lot of the fun out of it for me. Especially for like the entire second half of the game, once you get to the point of being able to change your jobs, because of how sloppily that feature was handled.
How so? Just asking.
Love the reaction! Need more of these vids!
Out of all of the reaction videos, this is the one I was the most excited to see 😌
I enjoy seeing your reactions to these directs, I wouldn't mind seeing you do them again...or streaming Dragon Quest III 2d-hd when it releases!
Also Mario Party shows half off at 10 coins, so it looks like 20 coin stars are back!
I love that Jared's kneejerk side for Wagyu steak is french fries c:
Let’s all appreciate the hard work that goes into making these videos!
I'm just waiting for Donkey Kong 64 HD. Please, this decade....please...
you could play all of them
Most of them are merely 20-30 hour range. All the Dragon Quest I mean.
The first five yeah, then they get pretty long though.
It's fun seeing you excited for stuff
im banking on the switch successor being able to run prime 4 at a higher resolution, it would be SOOOOOOOOOO good
It hasn't actually occurred to me until now that this Direct was HEAVILY RPG focused. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
I love videos like this. I love hearing your professional opinions Jared. And I knew all those rpgs would be good for you.
That Zelda led games looks beautiful! It's going to be a must play for me.
Videogamedunkey: “Shakes head in disapproval”
loved seein jared's reactions
Genuine and authentic content makes these videos so relatable.
My poor wallet.....that Farmagia game looks neat. I shall create a swarm of wolves!
Metroid Prime 4 will probably be the Breath of The Wild(WiiU/Switch) of the Switch 2. Released closely enough and available on both consoles.
Loving your super-thick reaction, keep it up... "mommy!?!" :D
> *Fairy Tail*
Professional Jared: "is this Bleach?"
-_-
Sorry I meant Naruto
@@projared What are you talking about, that was clearly Dragon Ball
@@BlastMagicianYGONah, I'd say Yu Yu Hakusho.
"Finally a Zelda game where you play as Zelda!"
"Wait what about CDI Wand of Ga-"
Gets murdered
I absolutely adore seeing your reactions to the stuff. Please continue doing these! On an added note, I have been waiting patiently for a video about monster Hunter Wilds! I am excited as a dual blade user, and cautiously optimistic as one of the five hunting horn mains 😂
1:17 Super Star Saga, it managed to actually get me to finish a game, a rare occurrence
I wish capcom do another VS collection with capcom vs SNK, VS tatsunoku, vs tekken
Jared, it'd be so cool if you played through all the Dragon Quests :P
When I saw Fantasian I just couldnt stop smiling. FINALLY off Apple! So excited to play the game Hironobu Sakaguchi made after he was inspired playing FF6 again!
Oh it's inspired by FF6? I may have to look into it then.
Something I learned just now involving Paper Mario TTYD and Metroid Prime 4; Nintendo won't even let you preorder their games online at Walmarts anymore (Yes, somehow this is real. I would put in a link but RUclips auto deletes comments with links).
That's Walmart's issue, pre-order from GameStop or Target and you won't encounter that issue.
@@VOAN I would argue Nintendo has no reason not to supply Amazon and Walmart with digital preorders, if they still supply them to GameStop.
Jared we love it when you react to this types of broadcasts. It's always a pleasure to see your joy to video game announcements.
Bro Nintendo was straight up COOKING on the SPOT
Can't wait to watch you play each and everyone one of those games, Jared! EACH... AND... EVERY... ONE!!!
i have that exact slime plush at 6:27 that i got from Jirard, and i love it.
When I saw the direct had happened and noticed you didn’t stream, I was very hopeful that you would make exactly this video. Your reactions to new games always give me good insight on the quality of the game.
I could never recommend DQ7 to anyone because I don't know who has that time or patience
I'm hoping DQ 1+2 HD-2D are going to bring some quality of life into the mix
MP4 is gonna be peak Samsung is my favorite character
I like these kind of reaction videos, like watching Maxamillion Dood lose his shit with Marvel v Capcom.
My poor wallet is crying and so is my RPG self but for different reasons. Mario & Luigi, Dragon Quest, and Zelda are probably the big three for me from this, so hyped to play them.
