more likely its just easier to scale up a spike than to make a fake one for one you'll never hit either way

Bro didn't make a gd level, he made an interactive animation using collision blocks of gd
and yet it's still incredible because of the limitations he had to overcome

Something really weird and interesting happens in the level editor when you open it in that. The cube part repeatedly shifts up which makes it flicker in the editors playtest mode.
its made frame by frame, you can even slightly notice it while playing

Also fps bypass exists, I play 120 fps at 60 hz screen

Spu7nix is probably working on a level in 2.2 right now or soon, and i bet it’s gonna be so crazy, that it’ll shock the community for years maybe even a decade
whats funny is that in his video breaking down the process of making the level, that he mentioned that this kind of expectation is exactly what he was afraid of, because people assume that 2.2 means that he'll make something even grander, as if the level WHAT wasn't already pushing his own limits already.

Wouldn't it have been easier if spu7nix just put move triggers for the custom icons and let the game modes play like normal?
he didnt want the borders to show up when you change game modes
2 reasons, the gamemode borders and that player enslavement boxes in pre-2.2 are just convenient

I really don't get why people when making custom icon and gameplay art just decide not to make a 2D invisible replica of the actual gameplay, I honestly think it would be a lot easier.
Because the 3d gamemodes don't have the exact same physics. They have very similar physics (not really the ship has way different physics) but to get them to replicate the exact same physics with visual rotation is basically impossible due to the fact 2.1 rotation trigger has no lock to player rotation option. Though that wouldn't even be helpful in this where the camera goes behind the 3d icon.
because that would add borders to the level when using the ship and wave which spu7nix didn't want
They do it for several reasons that if you knew how complex it is to do it you wouldn't ask the question (No offense).
It would be soooo much harder to match up, especially with GDs funky x shift issues with move triggers
you didnt think that translating 2d to 3d is that simple, specially with perspective?
and that spu7nix wanted no effects from the game; ie the bottom and top parts of the level when in ship/wave/ufo/spider/ball modes
so the only thing is making the icon be invisible

spu7nix is THE BEST creator, you know the dude is good if his level takes the community by storm and crashes the servers for multiple days bro
(imo and the best one that i know of if you think i ain't based just scroll further)
many other creators rely on art and gameplay design, while sputnix has his own niche. i wouldn't really compare them and define one as the "greatest creator"
