    Weaving in ends is my LEAST favorite thing in the whole process. But I do it and the same way u do. I make hats to send to my moms nursing home and a couple other places. Not too long ago ended up weaving in ends for 15 hats all at same time cuz I had put it off. Silly me!! Now I always do it as I go. Thank u for sharing

      I like to weave my ends as I crochet the next row by doubling the end with my new yarn or by tapping the end under my new stitches as I go so that I do not have another step to come back and hide them.

    A trick I learned a few years ago. If you're worried about your ends showing through on the other side, place your needle where you want it to go but before pulling the needle through, have a look on the other side, if you can see the shiny needle, you're going to be able to see the thread/yarn you're securing

    Hello Robin, I do this the same way you do. It’s interesting because today I posted a question on IG, and many people almost 100% identified they do not sew as they go they wait until the very end of their project. This might make sense when you’re making a continuous blanket and you might have to take it apart if you noticed a mistake. But I agree that with granny squares - finish them as you make them or you will have a big other project at the end of having to join them!

They are scattered throughout the blanket, not at the ends. I am a beginner so I didn't realize I should have used a Russian join as I was crocheting. My question is: since my yarn is slightly silky, should I make a knot with the two ends before I weave them in?

    Where do you weave in your second green tail? The one you started the round with. In the same corner?
    I always do it it like that, but I find it quite bulky, especially when you use it in clothing

    Thank you for this tutorial! Is it possible to weave in the ends after I have attached all my granny squares (to make a cardigan) or would you recommend doing it before?

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  4 месяца назад

      You can absolutely do it right at the very end but you will die a little inside when confronted with them all 😂 I personally like to *try* and get them done as I go so that when my project is finished, it's finished there and then with the final stitch rather than staring at another few hours work weaving in ends 🙃

    • @shwetanaik3646
      @shwetanaik3646 4 месяца назад +1

      @@HookedbyRobin Yes of course! I will try to do them beforehand but I just want an option in case I feel a bit death-y

    • @HookedbyRobin

      @shwetanaik3646 if you're anything like me, you'll plough on excited about the project and won't want to stop to weave in ends anyway 😂 I do TRY but very often fail at practicing what I preach LOL
      There's no right or wrong, ends can be done at any point 😄

    I so wish I had watched this video earlier. I always weave my ends in, but not as carefully as you do. My ends are woven in about 1 1/2", but not going back and forth. I hope they do not come out in the wash. I use laundry bags and if I give a blanket away I include a laundry bag, and washing instructions.

    My squares are very small and there is no space to weave in the tails over many stitches. I want to ask if the first step is enough to weave in the tails.

    Im making my first blanket and 80% of the way through it i have realised that i have left all my ends way too short. So now ive made an extra step for myself of attaching more yarn to the ends so that i can sew them in 🤦‍♀️
