What's your favourite finish on a puzzle - matte, glossy, linen, etc...? Whenever I glue a puzzle, I always use a matte finish.

Cool ending! 😎 I like the finish of Cobble Hill puzzles, they don’t have too much glare.

I still need to buy a Cobble Hill and give them a go. I've only heard good things about their puzzles. I love all the Rainbow Project ones - so colourful! 💜🧩

What a nice surprise there towards the end of the video when it all came together again ! Thank you for your review of this Arrow puzzle, a brand I have never heard of before. I too would have chosen Virgo Dragon because of the beautiful colors. I looked up Arrow Puzzles online as a result of this video of yours. I see they have a classic series with one puzzle featuring Luciano (a fine looking tabby cat having dinner in a restaurant) !!

Thanks for watching and commenting! I really wish the reseller would allow us to pick which one we wanted. I worry that if I try to buy all 3 in a series, they will send me duplicates.

Loved that closing sequence! I prefer matte or linen too because I also mostly puzzle at night with lamps. Again nothin beats the feel of a Cobble Hill. I guess those are linen? Not sure.

I still have not done a Cobble Hill puzzle but they are on the top of my wishlist. I really want to do their Rainbow Project collection. I've only heard good things about them so I'm sure the finish will be nice and easy to work with.

Nothing to stop you doing a portrait puzzle in landscape format and then turning it when you have finished. I've done that with 500 piece puzzles. You do get a different perspective on it as you are seeing a sideways view. Keeps you on your toes! I much prefer a matt or linen finish on my puzzles. Glossy ones are difficult to do at night time with the light reflecting on the pieces. As far as I am aware I don't think Arrow puzzles are produced in the UK any more, so any you get will be vintage ones. As the one you did was a 500XL then that would have made it about 19" x 27", unless the measurements were different for yours. Interesting to see the image appearing although not one that would appeal to me.

Yes - glossy at night with the light reflection is so hard on the eyes. I wonder if it's just a cheaper or faster way to finish a puzzle. I also prefer matte or linen as a finish on puzzles.
