Like Nakamura said in one of his videos these young players are really hard to defeat because they don’t play the typical moves that top gms do, that’s why they are completely unpredictable. He also mentioned that they don’t fear these GMs because they have probably watched 100s of games of Magnus online and prepared well!
Watching 100s of videos doesn't make you better, your theory is wrong. Every game in Chess is different. Pranesh is an excellent chess player and I am sure you will see him in top 10
Pranesh has a lot of confidence- right from when he entered the security checks to the way he greeted Magnus and the way he played you could just sense it and that’s very important against Magnus. These upcoming youngsters don’t have that “fear” of playing against Magnus. They treat it as any other game which could be a reason they’re playing so well against him.
@@Ferdy_Foreveryou could see with the way he was playing. Plus Magnus also mentioned he was impressed with the speed and confidence Pranesh was playing (see the latest interview of Magnus on this channel)
There are too many indian players with rating 2500. If these players get all the help and they reach 2700 then we can see india becoming a chess superpower.
Bhai hum sport superpower kab banenge yaar Before i die i wanna see india becomming a sporting superpower like china ,USA Right now we a good at cricket, chess(we will become superpower in upcomming 10 to 15 years for sure),we were best at hockey, but as soon as artificial turf came we stopped growing in hockey😢,and recentlybcoz of N.C javelin became popular But thats is not the end,we have to be good at other global sports like football, hockey, boxing, ufc, swimming
I think that rook sac by magnus was really briallant. Its like some high level stockfish move. And pranesh fell for it. Still pranesh played a great game.
There's something inexplicable about Tamilians and Chess- still trying to figure out the "dark matter" connection !! Some cell activity is far greater than other Indian state players.
I am quite surpised with this tournament, i have always heard that a > Elo's 200-difference is huge and impossible for the the low elo opponent to win, but in this tournament a lot of top GM didn't win easily or drew their games against 200 or 300 Elo below opponents !
Amazing game. I like Pranesh play. Great player ! It's the most enjoyable game i've seen. Thanks deeply to Sagar without whom i could not follow and understand the game well. I would not watch chess without Sagar.
Hikaru shouldn’t have come that close - it’s a little distracting at a crucial moment. You can see Pranesh giving him the look and yet he keeps persisting. Curiosity is one thing but don’t get so close to players
Players checking each other is common, and even if no other players checking, there's observer around them who also watched the game. Unless someone making commotion, they won't be bothered, and they shouldn't be bothered.
Magnus is getting old. His mind set is different. He reject the world championship. He does not like to play classical chess like i'n the past. So now he is making experiments and even in this situation he is a beast OTB
This shows the power of prep. Magnus hates to prep and if he does prep, it would be for other Super GMs. All these kids have basically prepped all their lives specifically for Magnus. Magnus could play better, but he wouldn't find it very interesting. I think he has other activities he prefers these days, like partying.
As long as none of the chess players is struggling for their bread and butter, they should be fine. Besides most of them are still going to school/college.
anyone else get annoyed by the "refs / judges/ coordinators" always rushing in staring at the competitors 1 second after their hour and a half match? like holy shit give them a second, you waited an hour and a half for them to finish you can get your grubby hands out of there and wait 1 minute longer
There's something inexplicable about Tamilians and Chess- still trying to figure out the "dark matter" connection !! Some cell activity is far greater than other Indian state players.
When these top GMs chat casually after a game it's like on a completely different level...something where ordinary, "mortal" players would be totally in the dark, except for the fact that they already know the outcome!
14:33 Hikaru’s infiltration
He was waiting for a chance to congratulate Pranesh the same way Magnus congratulated Pragg after Hikaru's loss to Pragg

The last part speaking in snake language (fusfusbfus) always gets me 😂
Why to include if we can’t hear it. Maybe they should give them mic
Magnus dropped his pieces twice after the game! He's nervous
He is goat
So interesting to see the two GM talking sign language. These GMs are at another level of humans.
Every tournament is becoming a battle against an Indian army.
Magnus is starting to look more and more like a addict
chess is the new cricket!
I'm sure they would love us to isolate indoors and stare at a screen all day (and night). Very healthy.

Wow magnus is the only player who brings new opening in any tournament
❤ fantastic game by an Indian player
This kid played very well under the stress. Last 10 mins of game was extremely thought of.
Can i ask why they write stuff down after they move? isn't it getting documented anyways?
wow.....what a game and such thrilling commentary by Sagar!
That boy earned the respect of mangus carlsen
Magnus wants fast games ...he doesn't wants to play ...hours long lasting games 🧘🏻♂️🧘🏻♂️🧘🏻♂️
India is already a chess superpower
Great fearless play .. end game matters 🎉🎉
13:36 did magnus miss qf5?
What's the purpose of that move? I mean it doesn't do anything
Pranesh did a great job❤
Awesome commentary 😊😊
It is truly proud moment if i could get draw against carlsen
Good stuff from both players.

Just one miss took away the win for pranesh against magnus
1. Nakamura is always surprised.
2. India is may be wasting too many talents for chess. After all, chess is nothing but a game.
2. Classic jealous words.

i think the commentator should play magnus
How come ur predicting the moves so accurately - one ur on par with magnus or giving commentary after watching the game 🤷♂️..... Latter sounds 💯✅
Missing a winning strike 😮
Every chess player is 17 - 16 year old on this channel😂😅
I don't understand how magnus is a G.O.A.T or a great player. He's being defeated these days by any 15-16 year old kid quite easily.

Why they walk away during the game 😮
why do they keep on writhing on their paper thingy?

Pranesh could win it
carlsen is world no.1 not becoz he is a good attacker but the best defender

draw
