Wait were you on testosterone pills? Cause I don't think having your natural testosterone levels causes the same effects as taking medication to increase it.
I can tell y'all, as an AFAB transmasc with PCOS, I've had my hormones in a few different ranges from my ovary condition, me trying to correct it to a normal "cis female hormone range" and it being in "normal range", and then after going on HRT, I've felt basically the same at different hormone levels. My "libido" so to speak has raised a little, but my desire to be with people and attraction/orientation hasn't changed. I am still asexual spectrum. Hormones may affect how people experience sexuality and maybe even orientation ... but not everyone. Asexuality is valid. And remember there are high libido sex-favorable asexuals too! All valid. Don't let anyone tell you you are broken and don't be afraid to feel what you feel. Much love, from a transmasc asexual-spectrum person in their 30s.
I hope that person in the audio get more views as well because they deserve seeing this thing because all of the closeted people and all of all of them need to understand it as well
As someone who is in the closet and didn’t take t yet at the same time they’re confused of being aro and ace this is very helpful to me. Also, I’m going to get one of the customise plushy and the trans masculine. Bracelet when you get the restock. :3
i got birth control and it stopped my period- it's been the best year and a half period free, no cramps, my mood swings chilled out and i've never had bad pms so when i got moody during the first few months it wasn't bad at all, it's also covered by insurance i recommend if you aren't going to start T yet but want no period!
@@xavtrial3382 nah fr, I’m using the shot because I already struggle enough with remembering my other meds and I don’t mind needles. I haven’t had my period in two years now, I hadn’t realized how bad my dysphoria around my period was until it was gone I originally went on birth control because my period made me very sick, but screw it, even if you have the tamest period ever you might as well try to get rid of it 😂
My doctor told me it may change my sexuality. I was like wtf are you talking about that's not how it works. I'm still ace so she was wrong. I did appreciate her warning me that your "drive" might change or temporarily increase.
From what I’ve heard hrt CAN change your sexuality but just a possibility. It’s more like “hey if you were solely attracted to women it may actually turn out you’re bi/gay” , I don’t know the actual scientific reason. But I’m pretty sure it’s never turned ace people allo 😅😅😅
At first I thought they meant like physically active, like weightlifting or whatever and I was like "Yeah that makes sense." And then I realized they meant 💦 active. 💀
As a trans man who is also asexual, I remember lowkey hoping that testosterone would make me “normal” but alas, nah, I still lack that type of attraction lmaooo. That was just my default settings
BRO THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!!! I’m ace and trans masc and have been scared to go on T for that reason and their have been no ace trans men I’ve seen talking about their experience so I had no clue what it would be like going on T while being ace!!!!!! I am so glad I saw this!!!!
that's good news for me! it does not need to be intensified or increased AT ALL for me in fact let's lower my drive please like its really bad and it's annoying, especially since i'm newly single after two years of a healthy relationship that ended well 😭
I had a doctor tell me that T would change that. It didn't. Then I had to go off T because he had no clue what he was doing and was changing my dosages without testing my levels and stuff. So, if a doctor tells you that T will change who you are, maybe try to look for a different doctor. They're working off of a bias, which is never a good sign.
I'm some flavor of aroacespec and my natural-puberty-induced hormones have heightened my sex drive, but it's not necessarily directed at anyone so it's just kinda uncomfortable for as long as it lasts
they're just talking about your s drive, so like you may be really in the mood often when you first start T but it depends on the dose, the person and their natural libido. I personally already have a high drive so i'm worried about T but if it's just for a little bit i'm ok dealing with it. T isn't magic so it won't just make you asexual if you weren't before or suddenly only into men if you're pansexual but it does have some sort of affect, (or so i've been told).
I feel so bad for all the transmasc aces in the comments saying they've been avoiding T for this reason! I also have to wonder, would it really be so bad to figure out you have a different orientation than you previously thought? That can happen to anyone at any point in life, even without HRT.
Do you know Sodom and gamorrah guys? God burned there town because of “LGBTQ”, the name of what god threw is “god rain sulfur”, I may not support lgbtq but I still respect them ❤
I'm a trans woman and progesterone made me more active than testosterone ever did so I think it just depends on the person
Wait were you on testosterone pills? Cause I don't think having your natural testosterone levels causes the same effects as taking medication to increase it.
@@ice_pls I've never been on testosterone pills, I started estrogen at 18 so I'm including teenage male puberty in this as well
Thank you for this 😭 I'm aroace and trans and was a bit scared when I heard about the effects of T
I'm also aroace and trans I totally felt the same way pre-T, but it was totally fine. I am still just as aroace as before :) so you should be fine too
As just a vanilla flavored cis ace, I also find this really comforting?? I don't know why, I just do. It's like a cozy cup of hot cocoa feeling
Me too, maybe because people tell us we're only ace because of hormones?
@@ZoruaLightning Yeah, probably that

That's really helpful actually. It was one of my bigger fears about starting t and knowing this is lovely

Oh my god thank you. I was so worried to start T because of that. Being horn born out of your mind 24/7 sounds terrifying 😂
Thanks so much for this! I’m asexual and questioning going on t but I was worried if it would give me a sexual drive so this is awesome to know!
I'm on a different side of the internet, and I'm happy to be here,
welcome my friend

I’m transmasc asexual so this is such a relief 😅

Wow I actually got here pretty early!! I love your content!! Have an awesome day!!!!
As a trans ace guy who's 6 months on T I have had zero bottom growth and zero sex drive increase. Very affirming. I was terrified but it's all okay ❤
I just think of T like my ADHD meds, they both change how you feel but sometimes it feels just right
Trans masc ace rep yesssss 🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️💪💪💪

STAR BABY STICKER SPOTTED
I heard people taking down their ace flags after starting T. It scares me as a young teen maybe ace person, since sexual thoughts scare me
I'm some flavor of aroacespec and my natural-puberty-induced hormones have heightened my sex drive, but it's not necessarily directed at anyone so it's just kinda uncomfortable for as long as it lasts
Should I be worried because I'm like... Pans.
I'm kinda the opposite of ace?😅
Tf gonna happen to me when I get on T?

Nice :3
so what ive heard from medical professionals is that taking T could increase your libido, but that has nothing to do with sexual attraction so-
ficto bat pls?
Yeeeeee
Say it louder for the people in the back who think that asexuality is caused by ‘hormonal issues’ 🙄
