Calle and Bård were in total panic! and Bård at the end!! lol thank you for the subs once again! ❤
***** hi barbi! How are you? 😂
+Barbara Miranda i'm fine y esto se esta poniendo extraño 😂
+Nadeshka Holmes You're welcome! I was surprised that Bård didn't nail this, like he usually does. But it's funny when they get all panicky.
+Quirentia yes! xD
Bård's snort when he hears that it's airport news is kind of priceless.
I do not know how much they prepare for this but it seems very natural. And entertaining.
Haha Bård is so cute when he read on the card again 😂
+Renate Tollefsen I know right!
If nothing else, it always seems like those boys are always having fun.
Okay, today's norsk challenge is to figure out what they are singing in the chorus. It sounds like they are singing:
Er det som det har blitt,
være som det skal bli,
ja, nå har det jakke meg nok
...and since jakke means jacket (I think), I figure that all must be wrong.
Hjelp meg, Quirentia! (Or is that hjelpe meg? I can never figure out the right ending...)
...og Takk for Subs!
It is: Er det sånn det har blitt
Var det sånn det sku' bli
Ja nå er det jaggu meg nok
Sku' is short for skulle
June Aga Takk! But what does "jaggu" mean?
it is kind of hard to translate "jaggu" but in this song when they sing "nå er det jaggu meg nok" it means It has to be enough now.
+TaiChiKnees Just an interjection, a stronger version of "jammen". Not much used anymore, I believe? They always use an Oslo East sosiolect for these satires. It's dying out, nowadays people will probably connect this sosiolect with old school variety shows. Mind you, differences still exist, Most Norwegians will be able to hear that Magnus hails from Oslo West while the Sagen brothers are East Enders...
+TaiChiKnees Bare hyggelig! ♥
I think it's so fun that you use this as your study material. A great way to learn languages! I think that June "junejento02" Aga and Cecilie B have explained this better than I ever could. I really struggled "jaggu meg", how I should translate that to English. I wanted, but couldn't really find an expression like it in English. I think when they do the gesture with the fist (not so much in this episode but in other's) like hitting a table, sort of says "jaggu meg", it's like someone who really had enough and wont take it anymore. Sort of "enough is enough" sort of. Perhaps I should go with "Now enough is really enough"?
Don't try to make the translation rhyme, just make it accurate!
Alle var morsomme, hahah
IKKE GIDD
