There's a lot of scary things happening in Fresno recently. But I've heard you should never climb on a tree and rest on it because the tree will show you something.
San Joaquin River is a pretty fuckin' haunted place. The little bathroom by the trail down in Woodward park that leads you to the SJR is haunted as well. Back then, A buddy of mine said that his family went walking down the trail to head to the River when all of a sudden his mother needed to use the restroom. She went and tried to use it, but as soon as she opened the door, she saw a little meskas girl in there with the messiest hair standing motionlessly blinking at her. She got spooked so bad she ran back crying to the group. Another story I'm about to share is one a different buddy shared with me. He said one time during summer, him and his cousin decided they would go biking by the river and do a little bit of fishing. I forgot which area of the river they were at, but I was told that it was at the San Joaquin River. Anyways, his cousin was leading him as they both were searching for a spot to fish. He said they were going pretty fast when suddenly his cousin braked so hard causing my buddy to almost collide with him. My buddy said, "Why did you stop so suddenly?" Before he could even finish his sentence, his cousin then covered his mouth and silently pointed fingers down to the bank of the river. There they saw what looked like a Hmong Lady wearing Hmong Clothes standing by the River with her back facing them. They got spooked the fuck out that they both got on their bikes and raced back to their vehicles. Well, these are two stories shared with me about experiences at the San Joaquin River.

Tell Hmong People The Truth it is an object used for rituals but, they also use it for other reasons, like expressing their feelings of sorrow and loneliness and at times just to listen to. If one does not understand what the qeej is saying, they tend to say its for rituals. I believe it's more than that.
