I was in it for 6 HOURS. I spent a whole day doing path of pain and then I had to go back the NEXT DAY to REDO IT because my GAME DIDN'T SAVE.
I came out as a changed person.
skill issue. Imo path of pain should've been harder. Its just feels like the rest of the platforming in the white palace
I spent way too long in one room because I didn't notice the proper way and was trying a speedrunning skip

Trooper. Not even able to do path of pain! I am so bad I haven't beaten soul master yet! So bad, I can't get shade soul to help me!
I had a leave my PS4 on for five days straight, because it took me 5 days to beat the pat of pain. 2 of those days were spent on the last segment.

On my first play through the second hornet fight took me over 100 tries 😶
Took me like, 5
Took me 3. I figured out her pattern but I just barely survived with 1 mask
But on your second play through it only takes once for every boss pretty much

The last part of Path of Pain is probably one of the hardest endurance tests I've ever done in a game. A solid minute of precise parkour that has to be timed correctly, followed by a double Kingsmould fight leads to probably a few destroyed devices.
Hornet literally said "git gud"
I actually found hornet 2 with no souls vessels and 7 masks, so I left and came back 15 hours later an destroyed her 💀

It's been a while, so I don't quite remember. Pretty sure I just cheesed him with Sharp Shadow.
your shadow dash is your best friend
when he jump to attack for the sky, avoid dashing. he generally strike behind you, so you can just move forward and not getting hit, like that you can have your shadow dash ready to when he charge at you. (shadow dash is very efficient to dodge that attack.)
ideally, you would prefer to stay near him, as it reduce the chance of him doing those orange boomerang and the shockwaves.
also, sharp shadow is really good on this fight, so consider it.
a few rule you can consider is: dash throught, not out (boss generally cover a lot of ground with their attack, and the hardest chase you faster than you can run, so shadow dash throught them if you can)
heal only 1 mask at a time (some bosses only allow you one heal, taking more and you risk getting hit, and the traitor lord's 2 mask damage is too punishing for that)
also, if you feel pressured, desolate dive (or it's upgrade) give you invulnerability for a good chunk of time, if your shadow dash isn't ready.

It took me 97h to get to radiance and still can't beat it
If you dont feel like you can beat it yet, just do something else. Maybe a (new) steelsoul run or just another playthrough if you already did everything. It really helps if you are just stuck too long on a boss. That way I became way better in godhome without even practising too much.
First play through died to first stage hornet a few times and second stage first time didn’t die
