DreamTale is like Luna and Celestia but Luna wins instead of Celestia.
Their back story is kind of relatable (in a way) if you experience favoritism in your family.(Trust me, your parents always being proud of your siblings instead of you, the older one, is tough. I'm glad I didn't lash out on my- wait, no one would care to read this comment anyway. why am I even typing this?)

There's actually no way of saving nightmare.
He's actually dead and Joku confirmed this as his body wasn't stable enough to hold all that negativity,
thus the corruption breaking down his body and him having only one stable eye.
He's dead there's no freeing a dead person from their fate.
Joku has even said ( or at least it was said then revoked or something like that )
That all the endings of Dreamtale are all pretty grim.
There was even something where Dream had a *dream* ( **badum tss** ) of uncorrupted Nightmare dying and that's when he knew the current nightmare wasn't his brother anymore.

I feel like nightmare is some type a scapegoat so would it mean that dream is a villain of hope and nightmare is a hero of despair cause the people brought it to themselves cause without despair there is no hope and people used up all the hope and they got despair so they blame it on nightmare then ask dream to fight him So in conclusion nightmare is justifying them
Edit: After a few years of consideration I started think that Dream is also a victim, as well some villagers have a form of Stockholm syndrome. The villagers to Dream for normal Stockholm syndrome and Dream to the villagers as in a codependency form. However the twins could also suffer extremely different forms PTSD. NM with Complex and Dream with Uncomplicated. And I'm pretty sure if there was a good therapist in the village he or she will probably make sure that the village stay away from the twins and giving them proper care. Even if it means making the entire village move away from where the trends live.
Now youre catching on ;) now heres the worst part, dream doesnt even realise that. He is being a puppet for people cause he wants friends. Whats even worse is that dream tried to defend nightmare from the very same people he is helping at one point :)

Even though this is 3 years ago , I still enjoy this story. I remember as a little girl , I watched this video and was always pretending to be a hero who would save the world of dreamtale from nightmare and comfort dream sans during the scene with the tree.

That dream isn't happy or positive at all it's just a facade instead he has carried hate and sorrow for years and he wants nothing but revenge he just pretends.

Hmmm, maybe. I thought Dream can’t feel hate? But he can feel negative feelings tho, such as sad, angry, etc. if that’s the case then Nightmare would notice right away, since both can sense people’s feelings and opposite feelings make them weak. If Dream carries hatred and sorrow then Nightmare would honestly be stronger and Dream maybe would be weaker, just like positive feelings make Nightmare weaker. Beside, it’s kinda sad, the host is dead ( passive night) and Corruption which is the parasite based on Nightmare’s negativity is left, so Nightmare can’t turn back to his passive form and Dreams brother is pretty much dead. They are sans au although they aren’t a sans, Nightmare and Dream are just some magic balls and were given a skeleton body but they’re not considered a sans, it’s just “Dream” and “Nightmare”. Same as well for Fresh, Ink, and maybe Error.

I wouldn't say revenge, but everything else I agree with. Dream blames himself a lot, even when he had nothing to do with it. He would hold a bit of hate, but directed to himself. He feels like he ruined something when he makes small mistakes. Why? His old home.
Everyone expected him to feel happy all the time, and be absolutely perfect, putting a lot of stress on him. Don't get me wrong, he still loves his brother, but everyone else had the belief that negative emotions=bad, and would always tell him that it's wrong to be sad, angry, stressed, exec. 500 years later, he still feels he needs to meet these expectations. So when he is mourning, he keeps telling himself to hide it, it's not right to feel this way. He bottles up those feelings and pretending, no, lying to himself, that he's fine.

guys one major difference between mlp and dreamtale is that luna became nightmare moon out of jealousy and spite. Nightmare became corrupted due to being harrassed and bullied brutally because he was a negative being, not actually out of jealousy. Also at the end of the comic, dream turns into stone while in mlp, celestia survives nightmare moon's attack and banishes her to the moon. One interesting thing to note is that in the official mlp comics, nightmare moon is a separate entity from luna. rarity gets turned into nightmare rarity after she was persuaded by the nightmare forces. The Mane 6 have their own nightmare forms from the gameloft wiki. I counted the comics and gameloft as canon because it was also made from hasbro.

It make much sense then having two Sans...I mean don't get me wrong i like Sans but he gets too much attention because he know about the timelines which is not fair for the other characters. Like give Underswap an example Papyrus has know about the timeline instead of Sans but people gloss over that because he is not Sans.
