    warlock, hunter and titan void melees too got shafted (bring back defensive strike and atomic breach and Corrosion smoke)

    • @PocketTuna
      @PocketTuna  Год назад

      Yep I agree, not having defensive strike anymore is just plain annoying. In higher end content using shield throw doesn’t give you full overshield very often. And using shoulder charge is too much of a risk depending on the activity. It’s annoying I miss defensive strike. There was no reason to remove corrosive smoke and atomic breach either

    Personally I miss all the close range melees. Especially the void ones for pvp. The new void one is nice but I seriously miss atomic breach. Hope we get it back soon.

    3.0 Subclasses (Light) really took away Class Identity greatly. Giving everything to everyone just upsets a balance that should've always been there. And yes while it can be fun running Devour or Invisibility on Titan, it takes from the other two. Not that Titans had anything anyway since TTK with Hammers. Fragments that are directly CLASS RELATED should be created. Sticking with the above example, those two Fragments should do something that benefit Overshields more. A good rework would be "Picking up an Orb of Power grants Overshield." or "Finishers grant a temporary Overshield." One of those WAS a mod before Lightfall. Still remember when Warlocks were bitching about Titans having x2 Restoration in Haunted claiming to have lost their Identity. How can that be lost over a SINGLE Exotic?! Meanwhile they have an Exotic that has remained too hot for nearly a year at this point! 3.0 was a great change but took more than it gave. I'd say Hunters gained more from it though and got little taken away compared to the other two classes.

    • @PocketTuna
      @PocketTuna  Год назад +1

      Yep I feel as though Hunters gained the most from the 3.0 system in the way that they just didn’t lose a ton of shit. They remained mostly intact

    • @Fenyxclips
      @Fenyxclips Год назад +1

      Going to add to it regarding Warlocks and Solar. Two Heat Rises and Icarus Dash should be one single Aspect. An entire support focused Aspect would've been great for them.

      @@Fenyxclips that would be amazing. I just want to make my team not die by giving them permanent resto. Also an exotic that buffs healing nades would be cool (on any class but it would probably fit best on warlock)

  • @DaveMcMuffin

    I know the 3.0 reworks were good for the overall health of the game, but most of what happened was taking what warlocks had that made them unique and giving it to everyone on top of their existing kits, so in my opinion warlocks were left with the least since their kit became most of 3.0. I'm just so tired of people being "dude can't you run a well?" "you're literally throwing if you don't run well" people might get annoyed that I'm complaining about having the best build that can literally do anything , but I just don't find solar fun and it should not be considered throwing if I want to run something else. I despise well, so I hope it gets nerfed honestly the healing and dr should be more than enough get rid of the dmg buff, even then I guarantee it would be the most used subclass. While I love the familiar/turret thing they implemented to try and supplement what was lost it still gets overshadowed by the subclass that didn't get them.

    I think it varies greatly. Warlock Void lost a lot of its uniqueness in identity, but at least remains the best of the 3 Voids at pulling up Devour and gets the best use out of its Grenades. Hunters lost their uniqueness in Void as well, but at least Invisibility is limited to using Finishers for the other two classes, which is a reasonable point of balance. And then Titan lost its uniqueness of Overshields twice. Once to a Fragment that was rather niche, and the second time to an Exotic Glaive, which does a better job at providing Overshields than the Overshield Aspect does.
    With Solar, I think an almost good point of balance was struck. Everyone could realistically do anything with Solar, but each class had a varying level of efficacy at which they'd be able to do each thing. (But it's not quite at the point of being good at the cost of Titans and for the sake of Warlocks, although Solar Warlock initially was really eating from scraps.)
    Solar Hunter is intended to excel at Ignitions and really creating Big Booms. They have Gunpowder Gamble; essentially an additional Grenade generated from a number of kills, and incredible Ignition potential, as they can create a loop of Throwing Knives through the Knock Em Down aspect too.
    Solar Titan is intended to be your survivalist, realistically. Throwing Hammer capable of applying Cure and Radiant, Sunspots that grant Restoration, and the ability to create a lot of them. Hammer of Sol assists with that. As a whole though, much too watered down compared to what they used to have for survivability. The subclass was basically balanced around Loreley and intended to be used with Loreley. As a whole though, too weak to excel as a survivalist, and Consecration is too niche to be good at "Burning Things" like they say Titans are supposed to be good at. Same goes for Sunspots and their lack of damage.
    Then there's Solar Warlock. Designed to be great support and a great Subclass capable of capitalising most on its grenades, with a brilliant Well super. The problem with Solar Warlock, is that what initially started as a subclass that was too weak to excel in its role and too weak to have build variety, now excels in ALL roles, with the greatest build variety of any subclass. TLDR, Best Ignition Builds by rite of the best Melee Builds and Starfire allowing ridiculous quantities of Fusion Grenades. The best Survivalist builds by rite of Phoenix Dive, Heat Rises, and Enhanced Healing Grenades to name a couple of sources. And the best Support builds, by rite of Well, its Healing Grenades, and its Melee Builds to name a couple of sources. Solar Warlock trumps the other two Solar classes and leaves them with not much room to stand; essentially destroying their identity. (Especially since Dawn Chorus Dawnblade is about to become the better Solar Roaming Super as well.)
    And with Arc, you're basically bang on the money.
    Bungie have gotten too happy with throwing class identity onto every subclass, and while it's mostly been at the cost of Titan identity, it's definitely hurt Warlock and Hunter identity; moreso Warlock's, in some areas too.

  • @Sargatas
    @Sargatas Год назад +1

    I had some aztecross vibes from the start)
    And about arc: hunters are good at single target damage (super, melee builds etc.), warlocks are the only one that can have no-cooldown abilities and be some sort of semi-support (by the way, very underestimated subclass), and titans...ah, titans...they are just piece of crap now: thundercrash is the worst super in the game without cuirass; fist of havoc got a buff but still you are getting desintegrated far before you reach someone; his only usable grenade is now pulse one, his element-related arc exotics are the worst of all 3 (yes, I look at you point-contact brace...it is going to get significant buff most likely though); his all 3 melees are a piece of crap; and his only one playable build was nerfed into oblivion, that kind of oblivion where you need a whole build to buff one pitiful grenade and reach not even a half of what this subclass was before.
    Yes, I know that this is the most easy and one of the most powerful at the same time subclass in pvp...but this is also the most boring and mindless subclass that can't do ANY tactical moves unlike other 4 elements and has only speed and cheese shield-build.
    And I think bungie have their inspiration from Syndrome of "The incredibles". "And when everyone is super, no one will be!"
