Hi Russ, I live within a few miles of the ocean that is located west of Pacifica, California. I visit the ocean and do some wave watching almost every day when I go for a run. I was smiling when I saw how happy you were to see the ocean. When you live near the ocean, you often take it for granted. It is fun to watch how excited people get when they visit the ocean after not seeing it for a while or especially when they have never seen the ocean 🌊
Russ, you could of stopped by my summer home at Dana Beach. NOT! I couldn’t own a blade of grass there. Hee, hee. It you travel north into Oregon to Newport, Oregon, give a shout out, I live east of there. I can’t believe you have to pay just to do a day stay in those places. Man, I would keep a good watch on your van with all those goodies in it. Have safe travels.
Nice video. I have to catch up. I'm missing the ride along. I would rather be at the working class beach any day, esp with my coffee pot. Way cool. Really beautiful. Love the foilage. Thanks, safe travels. 😊👍
If you had turned left just past the Dana Point bridge then left at the first light you'd be at Doheny surf beach. Pay to park there too. It's a state park and there is also camping although you have to reserve a camp site well in advance. I go there regularly with my daughter & her boyfriend to surf but I live east of Oceanside. Have a safe trip!
Hi Russ ! Nice cup of Coffee at the Beach ! Love it ! Nice viewing the beach with you.. Really miss the beach.. But , I don't miss Calif. LOL ! Stay Healthy and Happy.. Talk to you soonly..
I sure love those palm trees! Aliso beach is so perfect and those waves are truly relaxing, soothing and entertaining, GREAT video my friend, please keep em coming, thank you for sharing!!!!
Yeah here in Camarilo I can see the ocean and island in the distance from the front yard. Those houses re prob 5 million and up , in Santa Barbara the homes in montaceito are 10million - 20 million all day long.
Yeah...your van looks like it's associated with a News Channel ;) Thanks for the video there Uncle Roscoe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The flowers are: Status (might not have spelled correctly but that’s how it’s pronounced). Forget the Latin/botanical moniker. Status grows like weeds. Self-sows and has naturalized in Southern California.
Excellent video! Loved the flowers. But, the purple ones aren’t Gardenia’s, as they are white. But, whatever they are, they are gorgeous! I really like your van, as well. Stickers are bright and happy looking, and it looks real clean. Love the way you make coffee! Lol 🥰
You are correct those are NOT gardenias, they are white and smell delicious. Just a foot note back in the 1950's you could camp overnight at on this tiny beach. Most folks parked on the east side of PCH and walked through the tunnel by the inlet. Eventually they ruined the beach and installed the pier and an oil Derek. Ruined the ocean flow and wave patterns. Thank goodness they removed all of them. But still looks like the beach has not recovered. This was an awesome beach back in the day. I still have the scars on my elbows to prove it from 1961. Was on the rocks south end of the beach, wave came knocked me off my feet but I kept the pile of towels in my arms dry. My backside was soaked but the towels were dry. Rubbing alcohol and electrical tape kept me out of the ER. Plus we were an hour away from home. Hope you enjoy So. Calif. We sure have for 60+ years. Not like it used to be. Make memories and be safe.
GOOD MORNING RUSS

Nice work Russ! Love the ocean views!!
Nomad living....Love It!!
Nothing like a good hot cup of coffee to chase the cobwebs away in the morning. Not much scenery out on the beach to look at. Happy trails.
They sure pack'em in tight at that Elks park!
Another beautiful Southern California morning.
Good afternoon Russ enjoy your time in Aliso Viejo its a beautiful beach nice and calm never too crowded
Yeah here in Camarilo I can see the ocean and island in the distance from the front yard. Those houses re prob 5 million and up , in Santa Barbara the homes in montaceito are 10million - 20 million all day long.
Love your van setup Russ....Have a great day!!
thanks Ron
The waves are so soothing. You are rocking in that van! Safe travels!
Awesome.
Yeah...your van looks like it's associated with a News Channel ;) Thanks for the video there Uncle Roscoe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, that’s really cheap parking prices for that area, surprisingly. Thanks for the input Russ.
Dana Point has one of the nicest boat launch ramps around in So Cal!
Aliso Beach Park is great for surf fishing.
I am finding this trip really exciting, seeing the pacific ocean. It sounds rough. Making your own cup of coffee sure saves on expenses. Be careful!
Nice day and a perfect setup. Safe travels 😊 -Mark
Hey Russ lots of rain here in Ontario Canada and some major flooding too. I think it’s better than snow. Cheers!!!
welcome to my area and Laguna beach
Safe travels, good shooting, and great videos.
I bet that cup of coffee is better than anything you can buy around there!
Russ, I didn't see the surfboard on the van Great scenery!!
Sweet video. Love the beach.
The flowers are: Status (might not have spelled correctly but that’s how it’s pronounced). Forget the Latin/botanical moniker. Status grows like weeds. Self-sows and has naturalized in Southern California.
Thanks Russ.
Pismo Beach Lodge great! Call ahead. Santa Maria too.
There used to be a pier on that beach.

Judy Abernathy Flowers are Status.
Cyn Forest - not sure I understand your comment relative to my post. California has flowers everywhere.
Judy Abernathy “Status” is the name of the purple flowers. Sorry I wasn’t clear.
Cyn Forest - oh how funny!! Thanks for the clarity. The Status are lovely.
Judy Abernathy Your welcome. The purple flowers are also sometimes called “sea foam”.
Russ those aren't Gardenia's I'm not sure what they are the purple flowers. Nice beaches always good to see and smell the ocean.
s a Status - the purple flowers.
@@cynforrest yes
I think those flowers are lilacs
John Tilson Nope. Flowers are Status.
Oroville dam, water at 12 feet from going over spillway. If something happens will you be safe?
Thanks for the Oceanside 4-1-1. Do you have to be an Elks member to camp there? If not, would you recommend it after the bad experience you had?
How you liking Orange county? haha cheers make sure to pick up some good wine when u hit Barbara
Another great video! Are you an Elk? Do you have to be an Elk to stay at Elk larges?
I just left Florence, Oregon Coast. I'm in Alaska now. Are you heading this way?
👋😊
Russ are you going to make it to Washington state? Good video!
☀️🏁👍
I encourage you to keep your electronics covered up when you are not in your vehicle especially in CA. Lot of theft.
Those are Coastal Lavender .. not gardenias
Mmm,,
I've never seen purple Gardenias. All we have in Georgia are white ones.
You are correct those are NOT gardenias, they are white and smell delicious.
