This is the best part. The interior plots make a lot of building in custom settlements possible. I use a cool Hangmans Alley mod that opens up a couple of the buildings there and these plots are perfect for settling in those.
I’m just going ahead and considering internal plots the Sim Settlement teams Christmas gift for me! Haha This is just a big piece of awesomeness, I even think I’m more psyched about this than the city building! :D
Thank you Kinggath and team. As someone that builds in houses and using Conquest builds in ruined houses I love this addition. I hope a smaller more compact version comes out but it makes my "alley" builds so much more lively. Can't wait until after work to try out the new city building and interior plots.
This is amazing on so many levels. Imagine having an interior design like many of elianoras home mods in an interior plot. That would be dope. Im loving the direction you and the team are taking this mod kinggath. Thanks for all of you and the teams hard work. The add on system you have is also amazing.
Yea I'm kind of picky on my builds so it's the interior plots I'm excited about. Even then I hope the messy wastelanders can learn to have maybe upgrades to match my style, which tends to be I built it fresh using material shipments so why would I build it messy.
YES! Vault plots have been a long time coming. Doesn't matter that there are no Vault-themed indoor plots (yet) since I imagine Vault 88 as being a post-war settlement that just happens to be built into an old Vault, so subverting that Vault-Tec sterility with cobbled-together furniture everywhere would just help to make it feel more alive.
I love your mod, I throw at people every chance I get. But these new interior plots? I hate you. I made Taffington Boathouse support 39 people with mostly farms and a few Adv Industry plots for the sake of the Martial plots. It was a painful experience finding how to stack thing, wire, and make it all work! I ended up calling it Shanty Hell! Now this newer, and better system mean I have to rebuild it! I'm just going to curl up in the corner and weep for a week of lost work.
I love SIM settlements. I play on the XBox. The only thing is, I can't add all these addons to it due to memory. :'( I love building settlements with a theme in mind, like a robotic factory in the Mechanist lair, Brotherhood base extension at the airport, animal research center on Spectacle Island, etc. That kind of thing. I wonder if there's a way to minimize the memory usage or create addons that are faction based.
Hey I have one more question, im very early into this pack and I was wondering will settlers build an energy system? Like will they add in a power supply I can use and build off of and some lights inside and out of the buildings?
Several Industrial Plots can become power-producing plots. However it is best to still set up a "Vanilla" energy source to start off with and augment whatever the mod allows/does on its own.
I was actually thinking of using the interior plots for Vault building, yet, I'm thinking that a 2x2 or 2x3 plot would work better, thinking of the minimal size of a room in the vault tec workshop. Any plans of alternative sized plots?
An idea, can Kinggath and mod pack makers add a big arrow to the green/red placement highlight to mark entrance side? I've seen it in a mod but I forget which one.
This mod is mind blowing! I have started playing FO4 again from scratch just to have auto-building settlements. One question though...why do you have to have an NPC companion to lead the settlement? Very limiting if you're playing again from the beginning.
Balance and Immersion - the idea is that you have to have some influence before people are going to start building cities, the companions sort of represent your influence in the game world as recruiting them requires doing quests. If that doesn't float your boat, there are quite a few add-on packs out now that unlock tons of different NPCs as leaders instead of just the companions.
Ah, that makes sense. After having played right through already, I'm keen just to focus on settlement building this time rather than full play through :) Thanks for the heads up, I'll check out the NPC mods.
Does anyone know how exactly the automated building is powering the plots or where I can find some information on that? I see they are considered powered without any connections. Should I add the power personally or just leave it?
also, finch farm crashes when i try to upgrade to lvl 1. spectator animation starts, parts being removed are removed, then nothing gets added, and then game crashes. Happened 3 of 3 trys
UPDATE: I also had the slog crashing trying to upgrade from T1 to T2. Found a fix but its pretty annoying. Basically as soon as the animation starts to bring you up in the air to watch the settlement change, I canceled that. I then ran over to the workshop bench, and repeatedly opened and closed the workshop. (not as fast as I could, but just constantly. I did not crash during either upgrade animation while doing this. I dont know why this would help, but it seemed to for me.
When the interior plot snaps to the structure in the 2nd part of this video, he is able to cap the end. This does not occur in my game. I cannot get the end walls or corner walls to snap next to the plot. Feels like a bug.
Yeah I do. I guess the presence of a roof can cause snapping issues too? Tricky is an understatement. What I usually do is grab the z position numbers of the object causing a problem and send it up/down out of the way, snap the interior plot, then setpos z back to the original number. I realize I could get "Place Anywhere", but I didnt want to. Thanks for the reply.
It's actually from sim settlements. HudFramework is as the name suggests just the framework that's required to display it. You do need both for it to appear.
Thanks for working on this incredible mod. Have you looked at The Castle Walls Redux mod? They added snap points that allow you align the larger objects with a smaller object, might be something there. www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18927/
Hi; I thought that ROTC enabled us to let the settlers do ALL the building. I don't see you doing that here. Can you help us out? Along with SS2, we are using ROTC; first we built a city manager desk, assigned a settler to be leader, selected one of the two city plans we saw and then we clicked on 'build the city automatically' and then clicked on "tear it all down". At this point we did not expect to see the Stranger at all. Building was happening by itself already but the Stranger wants us to place an ASAM sensor on the ground.....as if he assumes we elected to be involved. We went ahead and placed an ASAM on the ground but he's not talking any longer. Should we just ignore the stranger or what? Never had this issue with SS1 and ROTC. Any help at all from anyone would help us out a lot over here. Thanks!
So addon packs for the interiors already exist? Ive tried to hunt for them and no hits, link would be helpful. This looks promising simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/preview-interior-plots.2493/.
Kinda. Nothing can build in the first place, and using the ASAM generates an empty list. Maybe it's conflicting with some old mod I never use, I'm not entirely sure
And all of this coming out just a week after I uninstalled Fallout 4 on PC and started a PS4 playthrough. =----= Oh and that's cuz game broke on PC and I didn't want to find out why btw.
I haven't had anyone else report this yet - and we have a very active player base. If you'd like to head to SimSettlements.com and go to the forums, someone might recognize a problem mod in your load order.
One of if not the most dedicated and talented moders in fallout.
Absolutely the most dedicated. If bethesda put this into the base game it'd be worth 30$+. Definitely a good idea to donate.
Well I'm never finding Shaun now. Again
you have that problem too?? 300 hours in the game. and i STILL have not found shaun..not even the synth that ive heard about.

I was struggling to understand snapping in SS2, and coming back to this video helped so much! Thanks man.

Im loving the direction you and the team are taking this mod kinggath. Thanks for all of you and the teams hard work. The add on system you have is also amazing.
I'm not too excited about the automated building, but this is one of the most magnificent things I've ever seen Kinggath, you're the best.
Yea I'm kind of picky on my builds so it's the interior plots I'm excited about. Even then I hope the messy wastelanders can learn to have maybe upgrades to match my style, which tends to be I built it fresh using material shipments so why would I build it messy.

Alright, I've been wanting this. Sublime work as always.
Been out of sim settlements for a bit, this is amazing will def improve my star light build
This is what I've been waiting for. Thanks!
Love this mod

Yeees, vault plots! Absolutely beautiful!

Oh hey I was looking for this vid about an hour ago :)
My hangman alley ROTC settlement has everyone huddled together in a circle.
I was actually thinking of using the interior plots for Vault building, yet, I'm thinking that a 2x2 or 2x3 plot would work better, thinking of the minimal size of a room in the vault tec workshop.
Any plans of alternative sized plots?
in sancuary im seeing conduits floating on blank space
As some who actually enjoys building settlements, I wish I discovered this mod ages ago...
BTW we don't have CPD interior station. Actually, it's like nobody really touched on the SS2E factions.
is there a way of adding the arrow system to the entryway location for the plot choice or is the plot type chosen after the placement ?
How do I set up a city plan? It keep saying I do not have any available.
An idea, can Kinggath and mod pack makers add a big arrow to the green/red placement highlight to mark entrance side? I've seen it in a mod but I forget which one.
The arrows would only show up after you had already placed the building, you unfortunately can't dynamically alter a model while you're building it.
awesome!!!

Awesome, cheers for that :)
Fine, I'll download this and start my third playthrough... Sorry Shaun, you're gonna have to wait another decade...
Oh don't worry! I'll find you! *Linda send out magnolia*
Does anyone know how exactly the automated building is powering the plots or where I can find some information on that? I see they are considered powered without any connections. Should I add the power personally or just leave it?
It's a shame they take 1.5 of a floor. It's difficult to build walls around them including a door.
It would be really cool to completely clear out vault 88 and make an underground city.
Look up bigbadbam he made a raider city there
Yo if I don't have any of the menu mods where is the plots at man
It's time to recreate Metro in Fallout 4 :)
@kinggath are you todd howard's good twin?
So which mod creates the Sims settlements tab?
uituit baker thanks...
The only bad thing about this mod is that i'm playing it on the XBox one S and my game keeps crashing while i'm using the mod
also, finch farm crashes when i try to upgrade to lvl 1. spectator animation starts, parts being removed are removed, then nothing gets added, and then game crashes. Happened 3 of 3 trys

Does that still snaps to the points or i have to eyeball it?
Whats the mod that shows statistics on the left side
HUDFramework
Balfazar99 thanks man
It's actually from sim settlements. HudFramework is as the name suggests just the framework that's required to display it. You do need both for it to appear.
Mister Mycelium ty for the info
Mister Mycelium I think I have a mod which is interfering with the hud because it doesn’t seem to appear
Thanks for working on this incredible mod. Have you looked at The Castle Walls Redux mod? They added snap points that allow you align the larger objects with a smaller object, might be something there. www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18927/
Oh my gods, thank you! I didn't know DD3 had reuploaded that mod. I was still checking the old one that he hid.
So where do other modders add-ons come in?
uituit baker thanks

I AM JIZZING WITH EXCITEMENT!!!!

None of the interior plots I build have building plans
Kinda. Nothing can build in the first place, and using the ASAM generates an empty list. Maybe it's conflicting with some old mod I never use, I'm not entirely sure
Had to generate it a couple times, but it's working now. Thanks!
This mod is really cool but I prefer building my own settlements
I can't access the city plan, when i move my crosshair on to it it acts if im about to enter crafting on the desk?
scrap it and place a new desk
Does not work.
I thought settlers would set up inside pre existing buildings themselves ?
uituit baker so settlers will build inside on their own in SOME cities ?
And all of this coming out just a week after I uninstalled Fallout 4 on PC and started a PS4 playthrough. =----= Oh and that's cuz game broke on PC and I didn't want to find out why btw.
Still can't power up those damn plots
They are powered like light bulbs. Place a pylon or connector near them and connect that thing to power.
kinggath there must be a bug because it's not working..
I haven't had anyone else report this yet - and we have a very active player base. If you'd like to head to SimSettlements.com and go to the forums, someone might recognize a problem mod in your load order.
kinggath thanks...will do.
Man this mod moves way too fast for me
Or you could not do that at all
