- Hello all! I hope you all enjoyed my video today! I went a little insane editing and reading this (it took 3 weeks). Feel free to like, subscribe and tell me your thoughts! Should I read more of these bad comics and do a full analysis of the full comic? What are some stereotypes you've disliked in modern media lately?
Here is a HUGE thank you to @Hi-Im-Micah for writing and editing 'Love Tri High' for us, as well as voicing The Narrator for us! WE'RE GETTING A FULL EPISODE SOON SO STAY TUNED!!!!

The love tri high lore is getting crazy
Agreed.
In fact,It's no longer a High School drama Love Story anymore,It's basically now a dystopian nightmare where are main character wicker basket who we were trying to root for ends up becoming a tyrant all because she lost her little pets collections for when she was 12 and she stopped her toe not a really good excuse for any of for any villainous Behavior or deciding to make it everyone else's problem.
Edit: although I am glad that wither basket is actually now our main hero now.

@@Kittypuff-ks7vd yup
I was so upset when the author killed off Arabella. It really felt like Arabella ACTUALLY had a character arc and was changing for the better (even moreso than the main character). There's so many false revelations that Ari has that are meant to seem like she realizes her mistakes and has to do better...only for her to change nothing and continue with her revenge plot with little to no consequences. Not even Arabella's death had much of an impact on Ari's desire to grow as a person and be better.
Dude I COULDN'T bring myself to read anymore of the comic after she got pushed down the stairs - sure it could be a sort of "no matter what you try to change, they're destined to leave much sooner", but after hearing that her death just BROUGHT her and the ml together, I went "that's it??? The child died just for otp to have a bonding moment??" And some readers said it best - Arabella HAD POTENTIAL to rise above what everyone but Ari thinks of her - her full blooded siblings deemed her useless, but she's roughly the same age as the young heiress that her older brother was trying to lure to be closer to the throne, she could had had established connections that Isa and Ipo could only dream of and stick it to her family! There was SO MUCH that could had been done with second chances, but how convenient that there were no servents around when she and Isa launched into a LENGTHY screaming war and met her end.
Ari randomly accusing a moor for doing her in kinda icked me out (one is historical context, all that, second is HOW THE HECK did she suddenly come up with that conclusion??), but killing a character JUST to bring the main ship kinda killed it for me. I'd probably pick it back up once the webtoon ends, but that's a big probably. Shame, dark grey protagonists are interesting to study, and the art is striking.
@@jessoliveiro8975 same here 😭 had to stop after the most complex and compelling character in the entire webtoon was killed off just so the FL and ML could have a "bonding" moment. There are SO many different situations that the author could have created to get the same result, yet they chose one of the laziest and most frustrating ways I've ever seen. Writing in a character death just as a means to create trauma for the protagonist is one of my least favorite writing tropes because it's just been over done and is uncreative in general.
The author essentially fridged Arabella just so the main leads with zero chemistry could maybe have a moment that would make you think they might have something together.
I know what you mean!!!!!
Arabella dying probably was a punishment for Ari's wrong doings
AGREED! Despite being a flawed series, I'm the Queen in This Life became one of my favorite stories last year; though I haven't read the webcomic in months, I have been reading the web novel. After reading +450 chapters, Arabella's death is still the saddest moment in the story. I hate how the Golden Rule's arbitrary existence justifies Arabella's death and how her death is used to bring Ariadne and Alfonso together. Heck, if I could change only one thing in the now +500 chapter story, and trust me, despite loving the series, I would change quite a few things if I had the chance; I would have had Arabella survive.
Hypothetically, the exact purpose of bringing Ariadne and Alfonso together could have been served without killing Arabella. If rumors had reached the royal court that a daughter of the De Mare family had been injured and possibly on death's door, I am confident Alfonso still would have returned to San Carlo to check on Ariadne. He could have arrived at the De Mare estate to find Ariadne struggling to take care of Arabella, who could be in a coma-like state. The kiss between the two could be removed entirely to just being a moment of closeness, or if Ariadne and Alfonso have to share a kiss, let Arabella magically awaken to turn the moment into something romantic, awkward, and happy in one package. Arabella would never allow her big sister to live down, kissing the prince while she was lying unconscious.
I could imagine this exchange after Arabella discovered Ariadne's marriage with Alfonso later in the story...
Arabella. "Ariadne, do you remember your first kiss with Alfonso?"
Ariadne. "Of course, I re..."
Arabella. "Yeah, I remember it too. Kissing over the body of your dying sister. How tasteless."
Exasperated fake fainting by Arabella, followed by Ariadne blushing immensely tongue-tied, unable to think of a witty retort, and Alfonso laughing at a rare moment when Ariadne just enjoys life and isn't scheming. It is a scene that could be fun to experience if I was a better writer.
Also, if the author didn't want Arabella to reveal that Isabella 100% pushed her and that she found the bra straps, we could just have Arabella suffer short-term amnesia. Of course, this would be incredibly contrived, but it would be far from the most contrived series of events in this series.
Arabella had such potential as a character and served as an excellent contrast to Ariadne while not being a romantic interest. Arabella would have been a refreshing, optimistic character for Ariadne to keep bouncing off. It has been a while since I read the early part of the story, but in the web novel, Ariadne is very melancholic and has a lot of self-loathing. She comes off as confident to others, but Arabella helps her sister connect more with joy and melts away the darkness in her heart. She is greatly missed, and the series missed potential amusing events by fridging Arabella.
Also, I think Alfonso and Arabella could have had a good brother-in-law and sister-in-law dynamic in the later story that will never exist now. His getting along with Ariadne's only kind family member probably would have boosted his popularity among the fan base while the fan base waits for the author to add a bit more personality to the male lead.
Imagine if the heroine was actually punished at the end for her actions
She was resurrected just to take revenge on everyone, but she still dies in the end
God leans over her and asks, “So, was it worth it?”
And she says "Yes" while bleeding, but this time smiling madly
JXIAKAKSK I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN NOW
This sounds cool. All that plotting for nothing.
now I can’t wait for this ending 😭
and then, the curse just pulls a plot twist 'well, i sure hope it was. now, I'll make you feel all the pain you've dealt', then there's the classic time skip and we just end on a panel of her, curled up, clearly under the shock of how much she's hurt others.
That would be a good way to end it in my oppinion
When Alphonso kissed Ari at the funeral, I deadass screamed “DUDE? TIMING???” Like that scene reads like someone taking advantage of a mourner
it was so WEIRD
True. That felt VERY out of character for a goody two shoes guy who was brought up to be the well mannered, courteous prince. Heck, it’s like everyone in this series is dysfunctional in one way or another.
personally i don’t think alphonso is endgame. there’ve been a few times where he does something just a little bit “off” and i think they’re leading somewhere
@@chesspiece4257 reading this gives me more hope that julias brother (white hair guy that just got introduced) might be endgame 🙏 hope this comment ages well lol
I would never understand how people can get turned on during a child's funeral 🌚. Wait for the next day at least!
Wait wait wait
She..
She straight up said that poor people don't deserve to live good lifes..? And the author thought this was cool..?
I had to rewind that part multiple times to process that
@@no-do4pv at least thr author could have added that it was a lie to fool everyone or someshit like that.. But no... She was actually smug about it, wth is up with the creator of this weebtoon..?
That’s why I dropped it. The priest said almost verbatim “everyone is equal in the eyes of god. He loves us all the same 😊” and she basically said “GUARDS TAKE HIM AWAY”
As I recall, the chapters where this happened were muddy and confusingly written. So basically, the narration talks about how the "heretic" was trying to raise up the poor. However, the main character doesn't argue with him about that. She argues with him over whether the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one in the same or separate entities. Which all a bunch of lukewarm bullshit the author uses to obscure the fact that Ariadne is suppressing a hero of the common people. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit debate are used as an excuse to lock up the heretic when his views on the poor are the real reason he's controversial. So Ariadne never says "poor people don't deserve good lives", but only because the author knew they couldn't get away with her saying that and still making her look like the hero.
I always thought it was her acting like a perfect noble not her agreeing with anything she even said that her family got in trouble in the past because they didn't stop the heretic so I thought she was acting to make her father and others respect her. It probably has more problems but I don't think she was agreeing with their religion just saving face I could be wrong though

Unordinary, I Love Yoo, and unfortunately Lumine.
@@IrukaOkami read all those comics but lumine had to have been the most disappointing. i appreciate webtoon for the few really good stories i find but what happens to so many of them over the years is kind of depressing. i dont think i follow any of the old, really popular comics anymore :/
@HawaiianBoy808 no Lumine isn't drawn out
Let's not forget true beauty
I'm sorry, oh wait I'm not. When they killed Arabella I was so pissed off, but then they made it worse by showing her suffer as she listens to her family choose to completely get rid of her, and that just upsets me beyond belief. She was a sweet child who should not have been used as a plot device.
I think this is super naive. Her family were utter narcissists and that was conveyed perfectly by that specific fact.
@@SentiMoodi Yes they were narcissists absolutely, however, do you not think that a child had the chance to change? She was in the middle of improving herself and learning right from wrong but that opportunity was destroyed by her being killed. I hope you realize that people can change and the children are influenced by their environment and the people around them. So when Arabella was finally able to realize that she was nothing more than a prop in her mother's eyes and had come to realize the twisted nature of her family it gave her a chance to change herself as a person. I would have preferred that she hadn't been killed off to advance a romance, to me I find it useless. Had Arabella lived it could've brought a little bit of light to the heroine's life and she could see how heavily she was able to influence Arabella's life in a positive manner. I'm sorry for the rant, and any repeats. I decided not to read the remainder since I found it hard to believe that they would brush off Arabella's death so easily. If you managed to read this far thank you for your time.
@@bluebunny2133 Maybe I should’ve been more specific. The reason Arabella’s family said what they did was bc they were narcissists, not necessarily Arabella. Secondly, I was a bit surprised the authors killed her off, but at the same time I can appreciate the fact the author makes this story more realistic -ish considering not everything has a perfect happy ending. I hope you realize that as well. You also sorta kinda find out why Arabella had to die later in the story which makes the story a lot more interesting.
@@SentiMoodi I understand the aspect of making the story more realistic, those ones can be so sad but worth the read if done right, and I'm glad to see your explanation so I can understand your viewpoint more. And if you say the story becomes more interesting because of the reasoning behind Arabella's death then it might be worth a shot. And yeah, for the authors to kill Arabella off, it was really surprising, but now that I think about it, it's better that they killed her off sooner rather than later when I would never be able to get over her death in such a malicious fashion. Right I also can't forget how the author used her death to shove the fl and ml together. I really just can't, especially the kiss. Too far in a short span with very little base. Anyways I think that was the part that mainly pissed me off. Of course if there's another reason then I'm very much intrigued
so what you are saying is basically there cannot be a genuine tragedy happening to a likeable character?
When the author projects herself so much into the main character, she doesn't realize that the main character isn't the Hero.
Just the main character.
Her throwing the nice priest under the bus for the sake of nobility clout is disgusting enough to disqualify her as a hero.
She was never trying to be the hero, just the hero in her own story
Unless its heroic to you for the mc to go back in time with the plot of murdering her ex
Assuming you’re talking about the priest that was arrested for “heresy” wasn’t that already going to happen anyways per the original timeline, and she was just trying to prevent her own family from going down with him like in the original timeline? Or did I miss something?
@@LucyHeartfillia-hv4rw The thing is that the plot was acting like she was a hero.
@@HiAgainTheNameIsStillAyle bc the plot is a story abt her, hence, hero in her own story
I've always thought that she was an anti-hero, or morally ambiguous. She has a huge philosophy of the "end justifies the means"
It is sad but I feel like what happened to Arabella may have been in part of the curse as punishment for all of the vicious acts Ariadne has been committing. Regarding Alphonso, I feel he shines as a character in the love he as for his mother and wanting to strengthen his kingdom.
Honestly I can agree to that, he has more depth with his mom than Ari
THE TRI HIGH OPENING SCENE WAS AMAZING😭❤
Agreed.
I dropped this comic around the time Ariadne let Arabella get betrayed by her evil stepfamily and then Arabella ran into her arms and Ariadne hugged her with the deadest expression on her face. Like she couldn’t even be bothered to fake sympathy wholeheartedly. Thanks for saving me from reading another 40 or so chapters
In all honesty, if Arabella was thrown back in time WITH Ariadne, both could have grown so much, and who doesn’t love two broken people finding comfort in eachother?

I immediacy dropped this series the second they killed off Arabella.
She was the only character in the story that actally had character. She had real development and was the only reason I stayed so long.
The fact that they killed her just to make Alfanso and Ari kiss is genuinely really gross
Same , and now I find out it was just to be a plot device of romance between the main characters . I just can't .

Uh oh 😱
@@amaranthdahlia wait, like who? i thought maletta was just curvy
I got so pissed off when they killed Arabella. Like I get it, Ariadne's journey can't be filled with sunshine and rainbows, but why??? Why put in all that effort of getting Arabella into the school of her dreams, literally IMAGINING what her life would be like, only to have her be shoved down the stairs like a side character? Ariadne doesn't even get the clasps she tried to get her!
I think I'm so pissed off because Arabella died so casually. Like we couldn't have had a dramatic scene where Arabella sacrifices herself for a crucial piece of evidence that would tear down Isabella once and for all? We couldn't have that much. I dropped the series the minute I confirmed Arabella was dead. Now I don't even want to touch it anymore, the only time I will, it's gonna be when (probably not) Arabella's spirit drags Isabella to hell.
Arabella was also the one who had been around the family for longer , she could've been used as prompt to tell the world about the family's favouritism and all the times Isabelle took credits of other people's achievements in the future .
Arabella kinda did die for a piece of evidence though, it was the bust clasp which Isabella took off from Ariadne's dress, making her have a wardrobe malfunction with her tatas, but it would've been more meaningful if Ariadne actually ended up getting the bust clasp, or if she could've gotten more substantial evidence that Isabella murdered Arabella
I loved the webtoon but when Arabella died I kinda wanted to stop reading but I continued and the way the author wrote Ari after the chapter were Arabella died was so gross I feel like the author missed a great opportunity for the story. The author could’ve made Ari realize that she can’t stop from their tragic death and could’ve changed a bit her plan to make sure the people close to her died peacefully and not tragic. And one thing that really struck me was when the blonde prince was acting hella weird at the funeral scene. To me it felt like he didn’t want Ari to grieve for Arabella and focus on him or didn’t show much condolences for Arabella but either way the author was weird for trying to put a happy scene during the funeral. Arabella deserves her own story.
the author: its a canon event 😂😂
seriously if you going to kill off a character that your fans like, give them a cinematic send off.
i’m still reading and alphonso has done another weird thing. i think the authors setting up for something tbh
Excellent video deconstructing the comic. Oddly enough, it's one of my favorite comics on Webtoon, despite all of its flaws. So many comic have a "villainess" as the protagonist, yet they never do anything evil or selfish. At least this comic has a protagonist who is genuinely selfish and manipulative, although still capable of caring about others. I personally found the plot point of Ariadne falling for Alphonso interesting, because even she thinks she's an evil monster who doesn't deserve him.
Yes!! I love this webtoon its so extreme but its so dumb and i need that in my webtoons hehe
RIGHT
The villainess reverses the hourglass is a pretty good villainess manga
@@khanolval9848spoiler but also could be a dealbreaker for others wanting to read:
the fl and the ml are cousins. half-cousins, but still first cousins 🫠 the story is good other that that though TT
@@chesspiece4257 nope, thats just a misunderstanding read the novel spoilers if you want it explained
I said this in the live, but I hate how this comic uses "innocence" as "virginity." I can assure you; you do not lose your innocence when you lose your virginity (even tho losing it isnt a big deal.) It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and perpetrates purity culture 🙄. BUT ANYWAYS, ARABELLA SHOULDVE BEEN THE MAIN CHARACTER!!
FOR REAL
Virginity IS important If she would BE a priestess Like a vestal Virgin but otherweise makes No Sense especially with the webtoon Focus on Renaissance Europe Style where virginity especially under nobles IS a stupid Idea unless you Like dynastic civil wars
Fr- like people need to understand the ‘innocent’ characters ARE allowed to have spicey moments as well, or after facing horrific situations, they'll still maintain their ‘innocence’ while also growing a bit wiser and maybe a bit bitter- People just don't know how to write ANY characters smh🤦♀️
Also it’s worth mentioning that you can be a virgin without being innocent. Like, say a serial killer has never done the deed before. Does that mean they’re innocent? Of course not lmao.
I thought it was a cultural thing in the story lol
a way better version of this plot is in a Manhwa called "The Villianess Turns the Hourglass"
it has a lot of the "villainess returns to the past and gets revenge on people, has a special ability due to returning to the past, becomes a way better person" tropes
but I feel like they handle her character way better.
She feels a lot of sympathy and regret towards her younger-self who was taken advantage of and she has a lot of internal conflict over whether or not she is a good person and deserves all the good things in her new life even though she knows she's taking advantage of good people to achieve her goals.
The Family is still supervillain-level evil but at the same time, it feels more grounded since it comes from a place of classism and sexism that society predicates and how a parent's negative views and neglect affects their family and breeds those negative opinions towards others.
That manga was awful, I hated the character, both her and her mother were selfish.

Damn, I completely forgot she had memory powers too XD. I remember starting to read it when it first dropped, then just taking breaks and binging on and off on the episodes I missed. I literally only continued reading because I wanted to see Arabella actually have a good life, but then she died 😅
It's so weird how they never brought that power back after she saw Maletta's memories, like it was cool seeing the flashback, but she didn't think about it after that chapter, same goes for her cut, now re-attached finger - at this point, if not for the random characters on the boat knowing who gave Ari her second lease on life, I'd definitely buy the idea that the Golden Rule forgot about her 😆

I hope the author makes a pivot into showing Ariadne "winning" but constantly having to deal with issues that pop up because of her own meddeling, & having her start to spiral like with her sister's death, making her more and more cruel - showing her true colors. I think it would be good to have her admit she loves alphonse and have her make the same mistakes. Have her kill cesar and swear it was for love, have her get her sister punished and banished. Then eventually have her be the queen she always wanted to be, but she can never get pregnant, forcing alphonse from a political standing to get a mistress. I want her to then be angry and try to harm the pregnant mistress, just for her to be arrested again and exectuted, the voice of god telling her that she was never worthy, her first thoughts of her 2nd chance leading her to destruction. God admitting they kept trying to make her happy but she was forever consumed by revenge and selfishness. Have her loop forever until she is actually a good person.
That is interesting
As someone who stopped reading the series after Arabella died , - I'd love to see the god mention that one of the first time he tried to make Aridne have a great life was by having a sister ( and a real family ) that had preety much the same struggles as her ( being mistreated ) and instead of feeling for her sister she just kissed a dude at her funeral . Instead of having a character development or trying to save her sister .
I think this comic was an attempt to expose the hypocrisy of religion and the wealthy and how you can break the cycle or perpetuate it; but she couldn’t execute it.
A lot of these webcomics will give complexity to a hot male character. But not to anyone unhot or any other female character. Unless the female character is the token loyal maid or morality pet child...
Literally! So many female characters/unattractive characters must be one-note characters. Or lack depth/complexity.
Oh yea, about the whole 'live a drastically different life than the one in your first', there's actually one that does it very well. It's called "My In-Laws are Obsessed with Me" and every character is an interesting character to read about. The mc isn't out for revenge either, she's just desperately trying to avoid the loved ones who betrayed her because she's still reeling from the fact that her beloved stepmother backstabbed her after being her main mother figure. This comic also follows a show don't tell rule and you can essentially feel every character's emotions. Also, the romance is actually built on trust first and is an extreme slowburn as the characters overcome their individual traumas.
Serious 10/10.
I've heard that one is good, I should seriously check it out!
I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been avoiding it based on the title and the cover but maybe I’ll check it out!
To be fair, some of the things can be hand waived by the fact that it's pretty much inspired by Borgia times Italy, during one of the later Crusades and the Plague...like the marrying cousins, the indulgent Catholic ideals, the clergy having "wives," who were actually just claimed mistresses (thus why Ariadne is considered illegitimate, cuz the Cardinal doesn't claim her mother), things.
Having read the novel, so far, there's a LOT more batshit stuff that happens. That said, we later find out that the powers that be, who watch her for the Golden Rule, are capricious af, and pick and choose what they punish vs reward. And it seems certain deaths, like Arabella's and Alphonso's mom, are inevitable, even tho she might want to change them. I think that is part of why Arabella died, not just to bring them together, but to show us that fact.
Also...the acts aren't, for the most part, immediately punished. From what I recall, she will have her actions weighed either when she dies, or when she reaches the date of her death.
I will say, it drags a LOT more in novel form.
Also, for Caesar, he originally isn't claimed by the king, and later is claimed to be the nephew of the king, via a nonexistent brother, thanks to the cardinal. He's just a womanizer who's happy to stay partying and seducing women. In his first life, it's his mother who pushes his ambition... her being the only reason he wanted to be king, at all, cuz she wanted that legitimacy.
It's incredibly telling that I almost the entire webtoon, and when you said there was a curse, I said "There's WHAT?!" Now the scenes with the psychic are making a lot more sense.
I held onto this webtoon for way too long. Arabella died, and I still tried to give it a few more chapters before I dropped it.
Girl same 😂😂😂 the way I was like wait? Those moments were powers? 😂
I really didn’t wanna know what stirs that man’s loins 😭 20:56
I always question the morality of Webtoon MC who was murdered and then seeks vengeance after they are being reborn.
I mean if they return to the past, Does that mean the villain who killed them in the future techincally haven't done anything to them? To be honest, sometimes It almost feels like the MC is trying to harm someone just because they have a very bad dream about them.
But you know what, its a webtoon and you are not supposed to think about that.
It would be an interesting plot twist if it turned out that the protagonist didn't actually time travel and is just crazy.
I highly recommend reading “Your Majesty, Please Don’t Kill Me Again.” It does an amazing job at tackling this issue
@@wasabikawa"This Wasn't My Plan" is another webtoon that addresses the "I went back in time, but there's nothing to get revenge for yet" issue.
She in fact goes so far back in time she realizes to her dismay that the man who made her life a living hell is currently very kind and innocent. So her revenge plan was promptly derailed by her incredulous confusion as she tries to figure out whether he's faking a soft side, and if not then how the hell did this sweetiepie turn into a monster in just five years?????
Atm I honestly feel like the FL is getting so immersed in her past life that she's forgotten her original goal, so I'm waiting for a new episode to address it again. Otherwise a fun read!
Banger plot-twist 🔥🔥🔥‼‼‼
Some webtoons do address this well
In this case, these people she wants revenge on are awful from the beginning. Like before she even meets them. So it’s like ‘doesn’t matter if they haven’t done the really bad stuff to her yet because they’re just bad in general’ kind of thing
And she also does a lot of this revenge stuff by thwarting their plans to ruin her and she ruins them instead.
Not a great webtoon btw with any depth. Just entertaining lol
I love this webtoon, and simultaneously I think you're absolutely right on most accounts. I never really put any thought into the characters or whether or not they're good people, because I read it for the drama. And DAMN the drama is good. That's the main reason I don't mind how fast paced it is at the beginning, because the curse and the past life are all plot devices to speed us into the main story so that we can squeeze in as much soap opera drama as possible in each chapter.
Same I love the drama
OMG! I completely lost interest in this webcomic when I saw that Al fiancé was crazy and bad. Because OF COURSE SHE IS! Absolutely NO ONE can be "nice" if it's not Ari (not that she is. She's a TERRIBLE human being). After Arabella dead? Honestly, can't even recommend the comic!
But seriously, what kills me the most, is how Ceasar (can't remember how to write his name, sorry) started to became SO MUCH MORE interesting as a character, BUT OF COURSE the one that get attention is BORING Alphonse.
This story have so much potential, but the author makes all the wrong paths! Is so frustrating!

The funny thing to me, as an italian relatively well versed in the history of our country, is that the cultural discrepancies you witnessed are just a regular tuesday when we examine the disparaties and double standards brought on by class and religion in medieval europe. Illegitimate children from rich aristocrats, church representatives or from people who were both or were in close proximity to the power and status these institutions provided, were often offically recognized or socially accepted. Just look up the Borgia Family which inspired these characters
A minor correction for future videos or discussions, but you said several characters' names wrong. It is Cesare, not Caesar, and it is Ariadne, not Arianne. Their names have similar origins but are pronounced quite differently.
Cesare is most likely named after Cesare Borgia, the illegitimate son of Pope Alexander VI, while Ariadne is most likely named after Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos, who helped Theseus escape the Labyrinth.
I already wondered why this Caesar IS a pict and behaves way more Like Mark Anthony. Sure Caesar was also a Womanizer but He really want obsessed over a Queen unlike Mark Anthony
@@laisphinto6372 Ariadne's abusive fiancé from the first timeline and Alfonso's half-brother is named Cesare, not Caesar. The two names are similar but different. Cesare has more in common with Cesare Borgia, the illegitimate son of Pope Alexander VI and an infamous womanizer. The Cesare in the story has nothing to do with Julius Caesar or Mark Antony.
That’s true
I dont know how to pronounce her name so I've just called her Adrienne the whole time 😂
18:22 oh dang the curse did that? I always thought she just blamed herself and was making up reasons why she died 😭
no I'm pretty sure it was.. I disagree and agree with a lot of different points in this vid
love tri high is my favorite show now this is CRAZY!!!
I persevered for a while with this one cause I thought that the story was supposed to be about a heinous villainess who just so happened to be wronged by others-- it took me a shockingly long amount of time to realise the author was for realsies.
Also, I'm glad the whole religion thing was pointed out cause people in the comments were trying to convince me that I'd misread the chapter and the religion wasn't just the embodiment of classism, I thought I was going mad. Webtoons in general have a glaring issue with classism, but this one specifically might be one of the absolute worst.
Oh yeah, it's up there with remarried empress
Falling for someone you killed in your past life could be an interesting dynamic! Like the overwhelming guilt you must feel for doing such an awful thing to someone you now love sounds heartbreaking. Perhaps you cry in front of them and they ask why and you struggle to answer as the reason sounds so absurd to say out loud. My mind is going wild coming up with all the things you could do with that plot point. But it’s unfortunate that it sounds like none of that happens in this webtoon.
Love tri high continues to just get better and better
Sincerely, kinda reading the comic to see how she's gonna have her revenge on isabella. I totaly forgot about the curse and the power lmao it's aggravating that the author just gives her that power to let her have a sneak peak on the reader's pov(or omniscient pov wink wink ).
About the fact that you wanted the first live to be explored more, i I don't think the author wanted us to see that more explored or else the readers wouldn't be so eager to simp for neither cesar or Ari.
If you want to read a story that kinda have the same storyline, without the werid religion and a more explored first life ( like 20 chaps or more ) its name is I Shall Kill That Sweet Devil ( unfortunately it isnt on webtoon )
I wouldn't mind if Ariadne's actions so much if she was just a villain protagonist or a redeemed villain whose forced to confront the actions of her past in this new timeline.
Spoiler for the next chapter:
The redhead girl that died isn't Sancha but the daughter of a wealthy commoner. Ariadne doesn't empathize with the father but uses the girl's death for her own goals (to get rid of another character). I am a simple man and like the comic but that was probably the moment I was most disgusted by Ariadne.
That's somehow worse
@@mattybites it should be noted that technically speaking she wasn’t empathetic, but she was understanding to his pain. It’s just that what he wanted could not be done in the manner he wanted it to be done and while she did get her revenge, she too gave him revenge for the death of his daughter, what he wanted for revenge she gave him won’t spoil what it is, but it was pretty solid
I feel like webtoon kinda ruined a lot of people as everyone believes that main character has to = hero. She's very much not a hero and that's kinda the point. She never said she was shes just a mad woman scorned and betrayed trying to get revenge.
I can't stop reading this webtoon though lmao
Low key me too, are you as worried about Sancha as I am?
We need a basket full show episode 😂
March 30th😘
I honestly unironically love stuff like this, it's not brilliant literature but it's a fun read haha
Thanks for sacrificing your time! The big problem is the curse, if the author wanted a girl boss villainess she should have not included that type of curse without consequences for the mc
Ah i remember this webtoon, only reason i read it was because the FL was near identical to my fav manhwa "kill the villainess", got partial brainrot from reading "i am the queen of this life" ngl
25:36 there was a reason for an episode that when Ari asked her why she mistreated the little sister. She said that before she was born, when she only had Isabella and her husband. They had a happy family loved each other so much. Until then, she got pregnant again. Her husband stopped paying attention to her so she blames her literal birth for taking away her husband.
Why was there so much effort put into the opening 😭
We love our favorite resident editor!
I'm really glad so many people also dropped it when Arabella died. As an older sister, I genuinely threw my phone in rage (when Ari & Alphonso kissed) and sobbed for like. An hour.
We were shown just how _hard_ she was working to gain a good future, a future she _deserved._
And she died.
For a couple of hooks.
And THEN. HER SISTER GOES AND KISSES A MAN AND THATS HOW THEY GET TOGETHER????
CONSIDERING THE WORLD RELIGION IS CLEARLY REAL, I HOPE SHES A FUCKING GODDESS IN HER NEXT LIFE JFC.
I started reading another webtoon called The Price is Your Everything, I don’t know how to feel about it yet (I try to give everything a chance) but Istg I was getting deva vu with the opening jail/death scene, it’s way too similar to this webtoon.
Btw, I think I’ve mentioned it before but there is a time regression Manhwa called Your Majesty, Please Spare Me This Time, it actually has consequences :D idk maybe I’m delulu but I actually kinda like it.
I see one webtoon, or other website manga start off the opening with the female lead getting beating to death or death penalty. Meanwhile, the cover look like a bright, adorable flower think going be cute story even no is not
fingers crossed it doesn't end up the literal exact same way as this one. if her best friend dies im giving up all hope on "second-life pushovers"
I really like The Price is your Everything. I feel like it does a good job at coming up with different reasons kids bully each other.
5:59 wait i thought this was bc she was manipulated into being Cesare Salad’s side girl and was hated by everyone so that in the end he would appreciate her, and she realized how stupid she was and wanted another chance to do things right 😭
That's what it was. She did all the bad things, so Cesare wouldn't get his hands dirty. In exchange, Ari naively thought Cesare was going to love her. After he reveals his true intentions and Isabella confirms it, Ari realizes that she was used. The bit with the curse doesn't get revealed until after Ari meets a fortune teller later in the story. The bit at the beginning feels like Ari's dying thoughts. Her thinking how if she did ____she would get___. And if she could start over, she would change her fate, then boom she finds herself in herself in the past. There was a lot skipped over.
I think the author is a young writer who too focused about the main character being on top and getting revenge no matter what
(Only with a few consequences)
Blinded that they and their characters could be in the wrong (or morally messed up)
A princess fighting with a servant will always seem like bullying.
Even if the servant was a bully first, it’s just so unfair that it won’t be that for long.
Ik this WEBTOON is very insane and nonsensical… it’s one of my favorites. I had binged the chapters like crazy. To be honest everything I read in that app is kinda mediocre but are my guilty pleasures 🙃
You know the biggest thing this Webtoon should have needed?
The blonde prince should have been the one to transmigrate or both him and Arianne, that would have worked 10000 times better
The tonal whiplash of the production and current happenings of love tri high this video was crazy.
Maybe I shouldn't skip around in a newly discovered channel 😂😂
This comic also follows the toxic trope of characters being reincarnated and getting more attention and affection from their families because they’re more assertive. Like., the father starts to give the main character more attention, just because she’s interesting. Now, when if he was a good father, he’d be giving her attention to begin with.
I generally hate this trope, because it’s basically saying that if someone’s not getting attention, they should just be a better person or something, when it’s the responsibility of a family member to provide affection to a child.
That crap always grinds my gears it’s so annoying because the mc’s always forgive their abusers in the second life because their now treating them “nicely” or it was a huge “misunderstanding”.
Well, the father isn't a good person in the webcomic.
Exactly, the point is the father is a bad dad, if couldn’t see it. Also at this timeline people who aren’t interesting isn’t worth the trouble, as it still stand today.
Hi I wrote a comment about this under the live stream as well but writing it here as well pls read This Isekai Maid Is Forming A Union its amazing. Its basicly a webtoon author being mad at and doing tropes better so I will mention lord Demeter (f this ahole) is the abused abuser along side his mother not really mother and its MMMMM sooo good. Also its god tier character writing and world building and f these royals we stan the maids in this house lol. Ohh and thanks one person and friends for reading it thank you.
Ooo I'll have to check it out!
Oh my god, I loved reading that one! It's like the only author criticising all the really popular tropes in that genre
OMG!!! I love this webtoon too! I think it does a really good job showing how demeter is both a victim of abuse and gaslighting... and also still sucks! It's great that the author doesn't either erase his actions because of his traumas or erase his traumas to keep us hating him.
Well you've convinced me to read it
It is so good!
Came for the wither and wicker basket plot, stayed for the analysis
Also you should cover True Beauty
Oh! I remember this comic. I dropped it after the little sister died, she was my favorite character.
I think the rules for revenge power the MC has are supposed to be that she can't treat people any worse then they treated her. So she can get revenge on her family and ex boyfriend but she can't betrayal her allies/people who are kind to her, like her maid.
Oh I remember reading like the first chapter and immediately dropping it at the very first chapter.
The main character accuses her sister of "stealing" her fiance... as if she didn't straight up murdered said sister's husband, making her a widow ?
In my book, that's called karma.
Like, at this point of the story, we know the sister is supposed to be bad, but we're shown the main character murdering people irst thing first, so she's definitely not a saint either. Except the story wants you to believe that she's been wronged somehow because yes, she did terrible things, but she did it for love. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Didn't help that the male lead is a guy she killed in her previous life. I hate when characters get together with the one who killed them in the first place, it just rubs me the wrong way. It's not like she can redeem herself because no matter what she does, he doesn't remember. But just because he can't remember doesn't mean it never happened and that's unfair to him.
Ok, so here are my thoughts. Haven't read all the chapters. Not yet reached Arabella's funeral.
I actually dont think some of the stuff in the webtoon is confusing.
Ari IS a villainess and has the mentally of one aka blaming Ceasar for her actions when she did it herself because of LOVE
Which is not a good reason at all
Ari is STILL a villainess but with the curse/gift of the Golden Rule she cant be a full villainess and is actually growing as a person. Caring about others but she's STILL a villainess who must now be a "hero"
And idk, but it makes sense why Ari is hated as an illegitimate child more then others. Her siblings have a noble mother, yes the mother is not legally married to the father but back then having mistresses was the norm and the father is a high ranking priest.
Ari's mother was a maid, a peasent. Of course, she's more lowly in status
Ceasars mother is also a noble and the king's mistress who he still favors. Its an open secret that the king favors Ceasar more but since Alfonso is there, he can never be king. So of course the nobility isnt going to treat Ceasar the same way they do Ari
Theres more BUT i do agree with most of your points. Alfonso needs more depth. Arabella's death and how it affected Ari, needed more of that. The romance, and how sometimes Ari is a fool in love at times but to be fair she has the trait to fall in love hard and do anything for the person she loves and having someone actually love her back. Of course shes going to be selfish about it.
The powers could be better and more consistent.
And i dont think they gave Ari a second chance just so she can be a better person. I think Ari is essentially a pawn to the Golden Rule since shes the most suited to change something in the future that the Golden Rule doesn't want to happen again. They will only punish her if she uses innocents for her revenge & betrays them
And her family apart from Arabella are not innocents. Basically almost everyone is horrible and selfish and Ari is the best out of all of them but shes no hero, she's a villainess
Listen it does get a bit shaky later on, i know the spoilers but i think im still gonna enjoy it
Im more in it for how Ari deals with the social politics and getting her revenge
Yes i agree she's supposed to be a villainess, I read all the chapters that's out so far it's one of my favorites right now. I'm not sure if im the only but I think Alfonso isn't as innocent as he makes himself out to be.
Based on his fantasy after Ariadne's dress malfunction, I also wouldn't call him "innocent." 😅
Honesty I hope Alfonso becomes a stable yandere
Except she isn't the best of them all, she's about as bad as Isabella because they do the same things. Isabella's biggest crime so far that she can be held accountable for is killing arabella an innocent child. Ariadne killed an innocent man. the only reason Isabella is worse is because she killed a child but what about before that? Both characters manipulate people and are cruel to those use who get in their way but when ariadne does it we're meant to cheer.
ARABELLA DIES?! Nu-uh, nope! Dropped. I paused at the debutante ball when Cesare rocked up and the chapter ended with the royal declaration that he was her escort. I needed more mental fortitude for the second and embarrassment I predicted. I was looking forward her getting the attention and validation she craved for her music 😭
I didn't mind the rest, like Ariadne is still a villainess, I don't expect her to be perfect and virtuous when the only thing that's changed is that she knows what's going to happen. She's still got the mentality of a woman who spent 9+ years doing terrible things for 'love'. My hope was for Ariadne not to _end up_ with Cesare but for the two of them to be like...abrasive friends that battle each other but still have the most cunning of their respective families, so they coordinate.
The warped religion is something I didn't have trouble with because it very much echoes the past where you could like...buy this thing called Indulgences from the church, which basically acted like a moral get out of jail free card when it came to sin. So, the 'poor people will always suck' mentality didn't surprise me at all, esp considering the setting is like..what, Rennaisance Italy? There was SO much religious fuckery back then so I wasn't shocked at all.
Also, I understood Ariadne's death in her first life as Isabella acting on her own to kill Ariadne because she knew that Cesare would eventually get bored of her just being a pretty face and want Ariadne's loyalty, so Isabella killed her before that could happen.
Anyway, I think I'm going to drop it now. 😢 Arabella deserved better
MAN I DROPPED THIS ON LIKE CH 5 my comment was like. If the sister was the main character EVERYONE would be rooting for her ahdajshdga. There's also how authors LOVE making sure their main character is suddenly super smart and calculating but will remove braincells from everyone else to achieve it.
0:01 Is anyone else starting to realize that love tri high is no longer a love story but now it's about girl who wants revenge and is willing to destroy the world for it,Let's just hope the people of this world will be more prepared to handle her this time. 34:40
I feel like instead of sending her back to her when she was 17 she could have been sent back 7 years (or how long the first time skip was in the first or second chapter)
It would have been far more interesting watching her crawl her way out of (red hair guy's) grasp while she grapples with her feelings with him and her feelings over how she acted and came to realize she doesn't actually deserve to be brought back but will still push on to become a better person away from (red hair guy)
They dropped an admittedly kinda cool concept with the first life and then reconned the whole thing by sending her back too far into the past
They could have sent her back any time but right before she was married off? That was a fumble
I'm pretty sure Arabella is the only child of the Pope's mistress that's actually the Pope's. The mom made it clear she had some resentment for being stuck with a man who could never marry her and it would explain her hatred for Arabella in that context. She and Ariadne are the only ones with the Pope's eye color too and that feels very much like something this author would put in for that reason.
I remember thinking it was one of the most interesting parts of the family dynamic. Ordinarily, it's cut and dry with a stepmom preferring her biological children over the stepchild.
Man I remember reading this webtoon but then it got so complicated with all the world rules that I was like I can't keep up. It doesnt help that the red haired villain character looked hotter than the blonde ML and I kept wishing that he was our ML since I love red haired chars ( that's a personal preference) and then i dropped it. It really seemed like an interesting story.
The info dump on so many isekai stories is insane that I can barely keep up with my already rotting brain
I lose my interest somewhere. Because Arabella, probably. I hate when a poor child dies. I really can't go with it. I felt betrayed since everything was going so well. Even if her death was predictable, i didn't expect it.
Before, I was engaged in reading every new chapter. Even more because I love stories with revenge. But as you said, the Mc doesn't pay for her actions nor redeem them properly. I wish that sometimes, they just change subjects. I liked Alfonso. He's a cinnamon roll, but I just don't have such a personality. I really want to see something shine in their way and destroy all bad characters, the ones who really deserve it. One of the only comic that is really interesting is "Blood reverie." But now the story is kinda messed up, and I hope that it'll pass.
I know I’m late, but thought I’d comment anyway.
I remember reading this back when it was still new and I thought it was good, but now… I see the glaring issues with it. (I mainly dropped it after Arabella died. She deserved better)
But if I could name a WEBTOON that actually does the “bad person gets sent back in time to be a better person” thing moderately well, it would be “The Tyrant wants to be Good”.
Basically the main character Dorothea was, well, a tyrant in her past life, she killed her own brother, and drove the man she loved to suicide, until she was eventually killed by her own allies.
HOWEVER! Unlike Ariadne, Dorothea actually regrets the things she’s done, and vows to be a better person this time around. She doesn’t want revenge against the people who hurt her, she knows she reaped what she sowed.
For example, the man she hurt and drove to suicide in her past life. You want to know what she does? SHE DISTANCES HERSELF FROM HIM! She doesn’t want to use him, she doesn’t want to “be good” so she can get with him. She distances herself from him because it’s the most healthy thing for her. She eventually ends up moving away and grows up in a different part of the kingdom, which again, was healthy for her.
I’m not going to say it’s a masterpiece, or even that good. it still has its fair share of issues, but… The main lead Dorothea, ACTUALLY makes an effort to change for the better! I’m not very good at judging stories though, so maybe I’m giving it more credit than it’s worth 😅
OMG I LOVE THAT WEBTOON it’s honestly one of the best comics i’ve ever read and i constantly like and comment on their webtoon which, i never do! highly recommend ❤️
As far as I remember, manhwa "I shall twist the neck of a sweet dog" has a similar premise, but it's so much better! A lot of chapters are used to explore the first life of the main heroine, and reasons behind her actions and emotions are clear and reasonable. Dynamics between characters in the second life are realy interesting and comlecated, so it's a nice read.
I like this! At first chapters it may be boring because it's full of the flashback of the MC's misery (a bit too long for me) but it gets better.
As a devoted reader, I genuinely forgot Ari even had fantasy powers -_-
...look I love a good ‘terrible people being terrible’ story but at least present those people as terrible. If I was writing this, I would either write a story in which the mc is punished for her deeds at the end or a story in which she is slowly redeemed by means of sancha and other people in her life.
Holy fuck! This is the first time someone used the story of ariadne for a manhwa/manga style and it hurts me that it is so lackluster! So ariadnes name comes from the greek character with the same name who appeared mostly in the minotaur myth, and theres so many story beats the comic references from the myth, for example:
Ariadne helping ceasar usurp the throne;ariadne helping theseus kill the Minotaur.
Characters born out of wedlock; the minotaur also born out of wedlock(except its way more fucked up, theres a reason his half man half bull..)
Ceasar betraying ariadne and marrying her sister; theseus abandoning ariadne to marry her sister paedra.
(Might be a stretch but gotta add this anyways since i think its important) ariadne dying and going back in time like a rebirth of her pass; Dionysus( god of wine and madness, and is ariadnes husband)has this whole death and rebirth symbolisms.
I didnt read the comic so i may be wrong, but as someone who read the minotaur myth, and some of dionysus's myths mutliple times, the comics plot of going back in time from death really screams dionysus's death and rebirth symbolism, which made me think, theres characters with similar roles from the characters in the mythos
(ariadne=ariadne.
Ceasar=theseus.
Alfonso, the older brother, and possibly arabella=minotaur.
Isabella = paedra) but not a single character whose role is similar to dionysus. I think it might actually be the god voice that takes her back in time, even though the voice just seems to not be a part of the story, which also gave me a thought. Why didn't the author make the godly voice the lover instead? You were already referencing the myth with the main character and some of the plot points, so why didn't the author make a character like dionysus? Imagine if instead the love interest is a soft blonde boy, or hard red boy, he was a madly in love god who fancied ariadne, and when she died the god gave her a chance to be reborn in her past and encourages her to take revenge on those who did her wrong, its still problematic but i think this would make some of her actions in the comic make a bit more sense, instead of the god voice preaching about rightousness and becoming kinder, he goes full on encouraging her to drag her family and ex down(it feels like the curse doesn't really matter so i think its better to just get rid off that anyways) i need more stories about ariadne and dionysus, i want to see more people reimagine her story more honestly.
Yeah the execution for the manhwa was horrible
The fact I got a webtoon ad before this video started is just hilarious
hello , I just wanted to point out that in comment section of one of your other videos someone suggested the web toon " THE ISEKAI MAID ARE FORMING A UNION" and I cannot thank enough the person that suggested that ( I can't find the comment , if someone does please tell me).The plot is really good and the story timelines are well woven and does not feel forced , each character feels dynamic and not a blank canvas , each character have their shortcomings , wishes , reason for their actions. You can related to character and can see what they do and the reason behind their actions according to their belief and personality , no matter whether they are right or wrong. There is also some great character development .The plot is really well written without any contradiction as far as my understanding goes. ANYONE WHO WANT TO READ SOMETHING GOOD PLEASE CHECK IT OUT. And I really really thank the person who suggested that.
What i really liked in the begging of the story is when MC tried to get rid of the second sister of the bitchy maid and literal god of justice told her not to fuck around or else she will literally feel the weight of her sins. I liked the scene because it kept her grounded, made her realize that even tho people who done her horrible things deserve to be brought to justice, that doesn't mean that she herself didn't do anything wrong and that this was her second chance to become a better person and i really loved her relationship with Arabella. I have no idea if they wish to resurrect Arabella but i don't know, i wish that she wasn't killed like she was. Perhaps it was for shock value but still, idk.
I hated that Ariadne and Alphonso kissed during Arabella’s funeral like BRO YOUR SISTER AND THE ONLY PERSON IN YOUR FAMILY THAT WAS NICE TO YOU JUST DIED. Honestly, I rlly like Arabella after seeing her character development and the fact she was pretty close to my age. One thing I hate about comics like this is that they make child characters who aren’t even that young make stupid decisions. Like I’m pretty sure that when I was 10, I would obviously make up some lie to get my sister who is shouting at me instead of idk- RUNNING AWAY EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE STAIRS AND THE FACT YOUR SISTER IS FASTER THEN YOU, and it was for what? Hooks that don’t even serve a purpose and are pretty stupid even if they are evidence?!
And another, the king hands you a precious artifact that is worth BILLIONS and what did you do? SELL IT TO SOMEONE FOR HEALING ITEMS FOR A PLAGUE THAT DIDNT EVEN HAPPEN YET AND STILL DIDNT HAPPEN AFTER LIKE 110 CHAPTERS.
Is it bad I'm still hoping that Arabella will return to life even though it's been over 10 episodes since Isabella killed her?
also I think Ariadne has been going around loopholes to get her revenge. Maybe since the people she's "hurting" are shown to be horrible, Fate just allows it? I mean, she saw that Arabella's death was on purpose, and I don't think she knows how to fully use her powers (if she has them). Imagine if Ari had the power to resurrect the ones killed wrongly. That would be so funny.
these intros are getting crazier and CRAZIER each time! XD
I recognized Lucrezia's insane face from the thumbnail and came running. You made so many great points I didn't think about.
Completely forgot about Ariane's magical powers (also I've been calling her Ariadne, so not even her name I got right) and I abandoned closely after Arabella's death.
Poor child, I just wanted her to be happy and taken away from that madness of a family. Her moments with Ariane were what I looked forward the most.
Ariadne is the correct name, I just double checked and now all I can hear in this video is her saying the wrong name for the FL haha Still a good video but missed a detail I guess
Hearing this makes me revisit my own projects to double check what can be better. One thing that scares me is making my main character impossible to relate to or uninteresting
I'm honestly unironically invested in Love tri high
the golden rule reminds me of those rules you see on some kinder joy eggs yknow the ones with two chocolate balls and melted milk choclate and like a toy on the other side
i have no idea what the intro to this video was but it brought me immense joy
These bad webtoons honestly give me the urge to rewrite them to be more interessting...sadly my energy isnt that consistent for that
Cutting away when the DVD logo was about to hit the corner literally hurt me
You are probably not gonna see this, but please read 'Surving Romance '. It's severely underrated. At 1st it may seem like a good old boring isekai story BUT trust me, it's not. Also it doesn’t focus on romance and more on friendship which i adored.
Yep! Surviving Romance is one of my favorite webtoons. It actually drops the boring isekai facade pretty fast and that each character feels so real and likeable (though some of them could have used more screentime). I'm surprised no one talks about it.
Not going to lie, I binge read this comic for a while. I enjoyed the characters, in fact, I could understand Ari’s revenge thing or whatever but the deeper I got into the story, the more confused I’d gotten just like how you pointed out. I didn’t understand how Ari was so ‘justly’ when she called out that other Cardinal, perhaps I’m just stupid but the world’s premise just ate my brain. In fact, I was angered and disappointed when they killed Arabella, I guess it was to make Ari a bit more vengeful but I enjoyed Arabella’s character way more than I did Ari’s. In fact, I can relate to Arabella due to my current circumstances. I also related to Cesare after his whole backstory and I understood why he is so bloody thirsty for power. In fact, he and Ari’s goals aren’t too different, they’re both trying to change their ‘fates’ in some ways. However, I didn’t enjoy how blatant everyone was to praising Ari. Like all her plans run smoothly, she messes up her brother’s (half brother) reputation, got her step-mother shunned and Isabella publicly humiliated. Everyone is dumb and bad compared to Ari but when you think about it, her actions mirror theirs’ but we have to praise her because she’s the female lead. The only victim is really Alfonso, bro is just caught in the crossfire and fell in love with his own murderer, just because in this life that won’t happen doesn’t make it just. You can feel bad that Ari is kind of manipulating him in some sort of way as she has told herself over and over again that he is the pawn to change her own fate (which seems kind of selfish as well.) Of course, these flaws are great in a main character but having people bow down to her all the time irritated me, can we have one scene where the villains maybe have a small victory and Ari is actually challenged for once? Why is she always shown to be ‘two-steps ahead’, since she’s changing her own fate shouldn’t there be things that she doesn’t expect? I mean, Arabella’s death was one of them, but to be honest it doesn’t seem to have made a dent on the character’s motivations. Probably because myself, I never enjoyed the whole ‘karma is a bitch’ or ‘they deserved it because they were bad people.’ To justify their own cruelty, you’re just playing fire with fire and she’s herself is on the same level as them. I don’t really know, I dropped the comic. I would enjoy an ending where everything she tried ended her up in a poor fate similar to those who have wronged her, but since she’s the heroine I doubt this ending I fantasize will become reality.
ngl. I just love how unapologetically volatile and homicidal Ariadne is ;-;. like you go gurl. Also is the 'D' silent? I've been saying 'Aree-add-nay' in my head whenever i've read it
No, you are right. I just assume she’s pronouncing all these names incorrectly for the lulz lmao
@@LikeTheProphet I don't think it's for the lulz, I see her struggling with names in many videos, the worst case of that being when she talks about tropes she hates and the "weird names" she mentions are actually very normal ones. Don't get me wrong, it's fine if she struggles with reading names, but I find it unlikely at this point that she's doing it just for a joke.
waitttt thank you for this!! I fell off this webtoon because I couldn’t fathom why MC couldnt just enjoy life- rather just plot plot plot away. Yes she was getting her revenge, but technically it was on people who had yet to wrong her. The comments were always calling her a queen/girl boss so i thought i was going crazy
I liked this comic then one day I realised "..I dont even remember ppppppppwhy the protagonists is doing what she is doing anymore'
Its pretty drawn out..I havent read it in a while now. Think I dropped it around *Spoiler* *Spolier* Queens death
Amazing video for an impressively bad webtoon!!! I have another one for you which is WAY different and used to be good until it was NOT. It’s called Lady Mint and it’s about a girl who’s adopted as a child by Yulius, a stone cold and powerful knight under threat by the (hot) empress because…gems? Something? Idk anyway it was okay until it became very clear that Yulius is the male lead
I'm really shocked that webcomics like this one keep being on the front page of Webtoon when masterpieces like Barbarian Quest get axed after 2 seasons :'(
I love how you had to type out a fist slam sound effect because Wicker doesn’t have any hands lol.
