just one point to tell people;when you open that oxy bottle all the way and get to full open,close it a half turn so as to remind you what the state of the valve is. If you open all the way to the stop and forget to close it,tomorrow you may try "open it when in fact it is already fully open and damage the valve using too much force because you think it is tightly closed. I hope that makes sense. I noticed you did close it a half a turn subconsciously as we all do. Cheers Ross a very mature welder.
I have a MIG but it's not the best choice for an aircraft fuselage. I enjoy gas welding even more than my TIG, a gas torch is simple, fun, reliable and pretty therapeutic. It's able to get in tight places and unique welding positions as well. Tack welding with a gas torch is extremely simple and reliable.
