- Today we’ll be adding several different trading tools to your Interactive Brokers Platform to make the buying and selling process as fast as possible.
These trading buttons will allow you to day trade stock with a single click. We'll create buttons for market orders, limit orders, and bracket orders. The buttons will make it far easier for you day traders out there to get in and out of the stock without filling out the order entry every time.

Hello , I do have a question I would like to setup the trading buttons like you show here but I want to be able to fill the position size by my risk factor so it will automatically choose the number of shares I can buy /sell based on that and also take profit by the RATIO of 1.5 (or whatever I choose) can that be done ?

Great video. I use hot keys which are faster but I am sure you have other videos explaining that. Mine are Ctrl+1 buy 100, Ctrl+2 buy 200.... Shift+1 sell 100, Shift+2 sell 200....

A quite straight way of explaining IBKR TWS-platform which sometimes is really really confusing.
If you modify the order line in the chart this mod is instantly transmitted, whereas modifying order price in the limit box requires confirmation through clicking on "update". Is there a way that TWS requires me to hit the "T"-button in the chart to confirm a change of the order price after repositioning the order line?

Is it possible to drag and drop orders directly onto the chart and slide the orders up or down to adjust the price we want, say I'm looking at an SPX chart and want to trade a specific option contract but don't want to use the option chain order entry to place the order? I didnt see you move the SELL STOP line and only the SELL LIMIT line, can you adjust the STOP LIMIT like you did on the chart with the SELL LIMIT? Great video and thank you.

Have tried trading trough trading view on IB, doesnt even work properly, stop loss orders just being ignored. Hmm I guess I have to learn this software now

Moreover, I do have two different accounts RRSP and TFSA, should I create two windows (one for each) or there is a way that I can have a column selecting showing or selecting the desired accounts for each order rows? Also, I have a heck of a time with order execution, a large number of my orders are sooo slow(like multiple minutes) - I cancel them and try to redo them.......(I have heard others say IB was a slow platform for execution)

Thanks. Need your help - I was trying to configure a Preset in TWS for "Adjustable Stop" in a Scenario where I bought the stock @100 (With 20% stop loss) and in case it hits 4% profit and it triggers a Trailing limit for Sell with a Trailing amount 5%. Some how I am getting the error of "Invalid Trigger Price" and I have tried multiple options included Parent order in the Adjusted fields. I have tried this in both Pre market and normal market. Can you please help on what all need to go in the Primary order and Attached stop order (in terms of %)

Hi, great content. I'm just getting into trading the stock market and i was wondering, when i scalp stocks, do i have to buy and own the stock (for a short amount of time) or do i have to use options trading or CFD's.
to scalp stocks particularly, you are buying and owning the stock for short amount of time
stocks, cfds and options are all different products and not the same thing

Real-time, but I don’t remember off the top of my head if IBKR offers for free or if there’s a monthly fee

Is there a way to have each one of these "toolbar" per share. What I mean is, since different stocks have diff prices, when I switch to a different stock can I pre set stock size in relation to my capital? Hope my question make sense :) Thanks in advance and more power!

Somehow that's not the screen I start out with. Mine shows New Window; IBot; FYI.
The UI has changed. Now when you configure the target order, you can also specify initial component size, subsequent component size, and increments. Can you please let us know what that means? I called IBKR customer service and they couldn't answer either.

Is ONE CLICK execution possible for the following operation? I don’t care if it’s a Smart Key, Hot Button, or Preset. Just want immediate, one-click execution. I can adjust everything once the order is in, but I like protections going in all together. For a long ES, as an example:
Enter BUY 4 (MKT or LMT on the ask, midpoint, +/- with -2 stop on parent
Sell 50% or quantity 2 at +2, Sell 1 at +4
Leave a runner with -3 stop.
I would make a handful of these presets, depending on NQ/ES, desired sizing. If I get the format for the above, I can figure out the rest. Thanks for any feedback.

can these buttons be on the hot buttons panel? Right now there are only Alert, Buy, Sell buttons on the upper right corner of the chart. Can we get close position button there too?

is it possible to move the chart horizontally to have a little of "black" space on the right site of the screen?. I have a difficult time reading the chart the way it prints on screen.
yes, there is a small "arrow symbol" on the botton right edge, you can drag that to left
Is there a specific reason to go off the ask instead of the parent?? Also is there a way to trade the amount of money in your account instead of a select share size??

unfortunetly i have not been successful with any of my injuries. i dont think the tws systems allows this access but the phone app does. via the options@@tcfc85
im also looking to change my set order from a stop order to a trailing stop once it hits a threshold. mo one has an answer why it fails each time it hits my target as well.@@tcfc85

Thinkorswim is my favorite, but tastytrade is also good if you’re trading options.
How can you set custom share size. That is a huge issue with chart trader. Cant believe they don’t offer that option. That alone makes chart trader totally unusable

it happens bc ur take profit or stop loss is so far from the chart that it gets minimized to a line just to be able to show the other lines
