Classic Scottish folk song "Wild Mountain Thyme" played on a aNueNue mahogany tenor ukulele with low G tuning! Link to free tab: app.box.com/s/fe2ui4c3lke9c9z...
Impeccable timing. I live in the mountains. Been waiting until the start of May to go record this by the creek, but couldn't find a version I liked to play. Then the ever talented Mike Holland drops a fingerstyle arrangement for it. Bless you, Sir.
Thank you lynn! I always get one or two thumbs downs, I personally think RUclips should drop the thumbs down feature. It does not serve any purpose really!
Very inspiring Micheal, a song older than the trees that are now felt to rebuild the 'Notre Dame' at Paris. I immediately grabbed my lapsteel and tried to play the melody, it is quit easy on C6 tuning. Go Lassie, go.
Thank you Jean, I think the tune is very old but the words that we know today are not old at all. I have noticed C6 tuning is really good to play melodies with. They quite often fall just under the bar!
@@MikeHollandGuitar I can play the notes on the lapsteel, but the challenge is to give it the power of the melody and the words in this great scottish song. Like there are so many other great scottish/irish songs, waiting to be played in a way that they touch just a little bit of the feel of the original. This one i did not know, so thank you for sharing. Jean
I think this is the most beautiful arrangement of this song I have ever heard, thank you
Thank you Marie, That is very kind of you to say!

God damn that's a pretty song, I want to learn it now 😁
Thank you......I hope you enjoy the learning also!
What a beatiful piece that is, and the reverb on there is perfect at least to my ears anyway.Just beautiful. Thanks.
Thank you David John, its so easy to overdo the reverb in my opinion! Although its very personal I always find less is better!
How could anyone have disliked this? Obviously no soul! It's beautiful!
