thank you for this tutorial! i just love your videos - they have such a sophisticated, upscale, expert feel to them. i’m going to tag you in an IG post soon with my second ever weaving. you’re so inspirational! 😜
Thank you for sharing this cool pattern- love all your fun and informative tutorials! Question-- how would you go about adding fringe with the odd amount of warp strings? Thanks again!
Question, when working the pattern, instead of doing plain weave straight across every other row, what would happen if you skipped the plain weave on the warps that had the second colour? would the pattern come out more defined?
In the case of this pattern, no, as it would mess with the structure of the piece and once off the loom it would not sit well. That being said, most of our other overshot patterns go to the edge of the weaving and I use a smaller string for the tabby which allows the pattern to pop a lot more. Loving your tutorials! Would this be the best method to do a large letter "G" as I want to do something along those lines for my daughters room (with added pompoms add for a fun touch) 🙂
Get the pattern here: spruceandlinen.com/blogs/weaving-tutorials/overshot-weaving-tutorial-pdf-pattern
it resembles an ebroidered look but incorporated into the structure. beautiful.
Totally!

I love those needles. Where can I find them please. Thanks so much for your video, so easy to follow. Getting inspired to try something new.
I make them and sell them in my shop, the shop reopens December 29th spruceandlinen.com
Love your tutorial. Did you happen to take a picture of the reverse side of this?
No photo, but I show the back at 8:52 in this video ☺️
@@spruceandlinen Thank you, I don't know how I missed that. Love your video!
What would have happened if the template was worked sideways? Would the pattern have been more square?
I think the way to get it more square would be to either use thicker weft strings, or have the warp strings closer together.
I love this! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you so much por the pattern.!!!! Blessings....Saludos!!!
You are so welcome!
